Big portions, and friendly staff. Restrooms are clean. Food is great, we love the pineapple friend rice and tom kha gai, medium spicy level is great. But my husband wanted more spice, and ask the server for chili oil, turns out theres 3 options. And he loved the sambal.
I had the pleasure of dining at this outstanding restaurant in Victoria downtown, and I must say it deserves a solid 5-star rating. If you find yourself in the area, it's an absolute must-visit!
Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately impressed by the warm and inviting ambiance. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles, making me feel welcomed from the start. As I perused the menu, the classic Pad Thai and Green Curry caught my eye, and I decided to give them a try.
The food surpassed my expectations in every way. The Pad Thai was a delectable blend of flavors, with just the right balance of sweetness and savory goodness. The Green Curry was equally delightful, packing a punch of aromatic spices that left me craving more. The portion sizes were generous, easily serving two people, making it perfect for sharing and trying multiple dishes.
A standout was the sticky rice that accompanied the meals. It was expertly cooked, with each grain coming apart perfectly, providing a delightful texture that complemented the dishes. The mango sticky rice was a dessert dream come true. The presentation was not only visually appealing but also showcased the chef's attention to detail. The combination of ripe mango and sticky rice was a match made in heaven, leaving my taste buds in awe.
Throughout the meal, the staff continued to be attentive and friendly, ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to offer suggestions made the whole dining process enjoyable.
In conclusion, this restaurant is a culinary gem in Victoria downtown. From the delicious Pad Thai and Green Curry that can easily feed two people to the perfect sticky rice and scrumptious mango sticky rice, every aspect of the meal was a delightful experience. The staff's warmth and hospitality added to the overall positive atmosphere. If you appreciate fantastic Thai cuisine served with a smile, this restaurant should be at the top of your list. I highly recommend giving it a try!
What a lovely find really great food was nice and quiet really really good place to go dinner ...
The food was really good! First time trying this place, the vibe in here is so cute and it says it’s the first Thai restaurant in Victoria since 1990!
The papaya salad was nice balanced flavour with sour sweet and a bit hint of spicy. The green curry was soooo good! Creamy and not too rich or too sweet. The noodles was really good too! I like this better than pad Thai! Would definitely go back there and try more of their food
The coconut soup is so creamy and so good! Never had such rich soup before! It’s well balanced with lemon flavour in it
This is the closest to Thai food you get in Thailand. Excellent service from ABC and her colleagues combined with tasty food. We highly recommend.
So very good, very fresh and excellent texture for vegetables. We ordered the prawn fried rice and Ginger chicken with vegetables with a side of plain rice.
The flavours of the dishes mix very well.
For dessert we had the Chef's special Mango sticky rice with coconut milk, so so very good! They are very accommodating with gluten and spice levels.
Excellent food, super friendly staff, highly recommended!
Tried the Chicken Pad Thai and it was yummy.. The portion size was great too, can feed probably 2. The server was awesome as well, packed my to go order and the food was hot even after an hour or so.
Everything here was phenomenal.
Other than the pad Thai tasting somewhat generic, honestly loved it.
Green curry, spring rolls, and the chicken skewers were so good.
Would definitely come back next time!
I went here a few years ago and it was not good. A friend invited me here recently and I told him that I had a bad experience last time. He told me that the owners are new and the restaurant is much better now. I am very picky about my Thai food, but I reluctantly agreed to go. And am I ever glad I did! This is very good Thai food in a very nice atmosphere. The service was good too. I'm glad the new owners have changed things. I'll be back!
Pretty authentic Thai food. Green curry was excellent and when my father in law ordered a dish witb pork neck the waitress came back and advised us that most westerners don't like that cut of meat because it's very fatty...which I thought was honest and well approached. He changed to a beef dish and all was good after that. Pretty sure it's a family business because they were very interested in making sure we were happy with our food.
Ordered the fried calamari, chicken curry and chicken fried rice lunch specials.
Quantity was perfect, taste exquisite and service was good. They didn’t have all the beers but the food more than supplemented the shortcoming.
Recommend to all craving amazing Thai food in an original authentic ambience near Wharf Street!!
Kudos to the staff!
Great tasting food at excellent prices.
Ordered the Pad See Ew, it was fresh, vibrant and punchy with flavour. This dish often suffers from being one-dimensional and oily, but this was certainly not the case here!
The service wasn't anything amazing, but was polite and efficient. It's a shame that the mango sticky rice dessert was sold out on the day I was dining.
Definitely a spot I will return to!
First experience of Thai food and it was amazing. I got the Thai iced tea but unfortunately did not get any pictures of that but i fell in love so quick! It was perfectly sweet but not too sweet and the right amount of creamy! I definitely recommend. I got Pad Thai and i absolutely loved it, the serving sizes were huge so i didn’t finish it all but it was amazingly delicious. It wasn’t too salty like my friend complained some Thai restaurants can make it. Only thing i would say is that it wasn’t spicy, even though i got medium heat. I was opting for max heat because i’m pretty tolerant of spice but the waitress said it’s really spicy even on medium so i got that instead. Didn’t turn out spicy. I would say even with the lack of spicyness, it was still tasty and it gets all 5 stars. Another thing to add, the price of the food was a bit costly but I would say I got my moneys worth.
Great portion, good service. If you want to try authentic thai taste, you can make a request and they can make it for you.
- I like Tom Kha Gai & Pad see ew
We had takeout so I can't rate service and atmosphere, the food was plenty and absolutely delicious. Best Thai food we had here in Victoria so far. We will definitely order again.
Great Thai food with reasonable prices. Open for lunch and dinner.
Delicious fresh flavours and just right spice. And the service is the best I’ve had in Victoria so far! Very caring and knowledgable people. It was quiet and calm - so perfect after a busy day exploring…
