Really enjoyed everything there. Wonderful meat pies and now salads and soup. Love that the kitchen is so wide open. Service is great but it's busy. Great job Danielle on the red potato, mushroom and arugula salad! yum! Had the goat cheese and beet salad today (with grapefruit). Only critique was didn't get much goat cheese in my large portion and only one segment of grapefruit.

Those meat pies are pockets of flaky gravy-bursting perfection and I can never leave without picking up a second one for me or my wife to take home - this place has got something special cooling on the window sill for lunch!

Tried Saltchuck for the first time today and I'm going to recommend it to anyone that will listen. The decor is adorable and all 5 menu items we had were amazing. With the everchanging menu, I'll definitely be back soon!

By far the best tasting meat pies I have come across on Vancouver Island (and I have been searching for the good ones).

Finally, a great meat pie in Canada! Not the cheapest ever, but if they were my health would be in danger...

Super cute cafe with friendly service. The savoury pies have the best crust EVER. So flakey! Love the pies with minced beef the best. Can also stop in for some Australian confectionary and vegemite, of course! I appreciated that they used paper bags and plates for takeout. My pies were still a little warm when I brought them home. MMM! (Didn't enjoy the raisin butter tart at all though).

I am not fan of pies but visited Saltchuck Pie Company today on a friend’s recommendation - and that was a good experience. We enjoyed the perfect recipe of savoury lamp pie and butter-chicken pie. Thanks to Ms. Brandy for the service & talking about pies.

Everything looks and tastes delicious, and I don't even normally like meat pies! Every pie, salad, dessert, and drink is creative and appetizing, it's cute inside and customer service is great. Prices are fair, too ($8 for a meat pie big enough for lunch!). I really can't recommend this place enough :)

Nice retro cafe connected to pie shop. Pie case has a changing selection of intriguing savory and sweet pies at reasonable prices.

Delicious treats at a reasonable price. The sausage rolls has the perfect bite and moisture, not too dry. The fruit pies are amazing. My boyfriend says that of all the pies he's tried that's close to topping is his tia Marta's apple pie 🥧 in Chile. The decor inside the shop is very cute for a date dine in. I am absolutely in love being fed and feeding different flavors. Will have to make this as a special treat place.

These pies are perfect. Like. Could not be better. There cannot be improvement on them. Perfection. I want all of the pies all of my days all of my life. Take all of my money. Also the butter tart is out of this world. This may sound like a fake review, or a review from a friend of the owner… but I do not know the owner or the baker at all. I just think. That these pies are AMAZING.

I wasn't aware you could dine-in here! Very neat little place that's worth the visit. Prepare to spend a pretty penny on one of the better pies you'll probably ever eat. I got a chai latte as well, and was impressed. Thanks!

Great place with fresh hot savory and sweet pies coming out from the kitchen. The pricing is good. We purchased many different kinds of pies for later on. You could eat there, too!

We got the lamb with potato top, butter chicken, and farmers sausage and egg. All three really hit the spot, and made us feel very homesick. If you are looking for an amazing nz style pie come here, but be prepared to spend good money for it!

Amazing variety of both savory and sweet pies. Popped in to grab some chicken pot pie and came out with those and an apple crumble. Great little place to stop and have a coffee and a treat. Prices are pretty good considering the sizes of the pies. Very quant little place with friendly staff.

This place is great, always hard to find a good Australian style pie but this place also makes some super fun and unique flavors. The family and I did a bit of a food tour when up in Victoria and this is our favorite, simple, straight forward, so damn good, and the prices were excellent.

A wide variety of great tasting pies available for eating in or frozen pies to taken home. I went around lunch time and unfortunately a lot of their signature pies were sold out.

If I could give the food a 10/5 I would. If you have never tried a savory pie, firstly - what the heck is wrong with you? Second, just go to Saltchuck. Your taste buds (and wallet!!) Will thank you

Last time I had a Cornish Pastie this good, I was in Cornwall. A Pastie is a type of meat and vegetable pie. Saltchuck pasties are baked on the premises, and it shows. The people who baked these, really know how to make an excellent Pastie. Having tried a few, I would not hesitate to drive past every other pie shop in town, until you reach the Saltchuck Pie Company. This is the place for a pastie that is plump with high quality, tasty ingredients. The pastry was just perfect for taste, texture and thickness. The meat content was much higher than the veggie content, and all in all, it was an excellent small meal. These bakers have paid it forward, to earn a well deserved Five Stars. I'll be back.

Perfectly executed savory pies! I tried the creamy herb mushroom, steak & ale, and chicken pot pies. All had perfectly flaky, buttery crusts with fillings hot all the way through (would be an easy pitfall with pies stuffed this full). Great flavors. Quick, friendly service. I'd definitely like to come back to try some of the sweet offerings.
