I loved all the options and I loved the fact that they showed pictures on the menu! It helped a lot to visualize what to get. They had so many options to choose from my family was struggling to pick from all the delicious looking food. When we got served (which wasn’t a long wait) the food looked even better in person and tasted amazing! I would definitely come back here if we ever decide to come to Victoria again!

Extremely fresh sashimi. I was so happy to get Sockeye without as chef choice. Great sesame sauce for rice..they are open on Monday for lunch :). Good local selection of wine and fish.

A local hidden gem and one of my go-to sushi places. Delicious food with fair pricing and the staff are always considerate and friendly! I don't frequent the James Bay area much these days, but I will go out of my way to come here whenever I can.

Went their for a lunch date with my 5 year old and the lunch bento boxes were great quality and value. Sashimi and rolls were fresh and tasty, so were other items and the prices very reasonable. The only downside here is the place is quite small and doesn't have much seating but the service and food makes up for it :)

My new favourite sushi place in the James Bay Area. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is amazingly friendly. Tons of beverage options and free green tea. Who does that?! It’s a great touch and very hospitable. Small restaurant but so so great. We tried most of their signature rolls and they were all fantastic.try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

This was really quite fantastic! The food was tasty, fresh and well-seasoned. The rolls were really tight and tasty, I was really impressed. On top of that the staff were so friendly, warm and inviting. I also really appreciated that foods that are gluten friendly and vegetarian are clearly identified throughout the menu or where modifications can be made - nice touch. Prices were fair as were their portions. I would highly recommend going here.

Loved this place! The Philadelphia roll was very good! Along with the rainbow roll and dynamite roll. Staff were also wonderful! I will be coming back! We got the mango and green tea icecream at the end and figured out mixing them was really good!

A welcoming restaurant with a skilled sushi chef, friendly staff and an amazing menu. The delicious nigiri sushi, agedashi tofu (best I've found anywhere), poke bowls and tuna tataki are my favourites, along with the utterly addictive Korean dishes (dakgangjeong, bibimbap, chirashi-sushi). But the best thing for me is the ambiance - the staff have enormous warmth and enthusiasm, and it makes every visit a pleasure. This truly feels like a home away from home!

A great small and intimate place, which makes it perfect for a neighborhood like James Bay. The service was polite, friendly and attentive. Food was simple yet delicious. My wife and I have been coming here for the occasional lunch and dinner over the years it has been opened, and it never disappoints us.

I don't write a lot of reviews for restaurants but I had to for sushi matsuri. Cute small Japanese restaurant. Their food is always delicious consistently. Rice isn't overpowered with vinegar which is hard to find in Victoria. Very friendly staff.
