Got there early so got a table, not too much room to eat inside, they probably do a lot of takeout. Brisket sandwich was very good, got extra BBQ sauce on the side so I could make it juicy. Fries were pretty good, maybe a bit over cooked. Not the first time we've eaten here, will be back.

Got the 3 meat platter with sausages, brisket and pork ribs. The sausage was wowzers with a hot punch. Pork ribs and brisket were good too, probably needed tad more seasoning. Beans and potato salad on the side were good. Great place to slake my barbecue cravings

You can never go wrong with any of the poutines at Jones BBQ. The Big Crunch poutine is my favourite! The sauces bring the spicy and creamy texture to the moist airy but crisp fries. The fried chicken is very juicy and flavourful. This whole meal is huge and Is a delectable dinner/lunch. Lots of flavours and great crunch definitely my favourite place to get poutine/BBQ. You gotta eat here

Yummy food and good service. Sadly, did not honour the happy hour deal of 50% off of a sandwich after buying a boozy drink (I think they forgot). Corn bread is not great but the pulled pork was amazing!

Great staff, and one of the few BBQ restaurants in Victoria that can actually prepare some decent meats like pork and brisket. We visited on a Friday early noon, which isn't as busy as the evenings and weekends. The staff were very welcoming and informative on what's in their dishes and the ingredients. The restaurant manager was also very open and actively interacting with customers when we were served and eating. The overall environment of the place is clean, with neat little decorations and an organized self-serve section for cutlery and drinks. The prices are a bit on the higher end, but for the place and service it's worth it. I highly recommend any BBQ lovers to visit Jones BBQ!

We ordered delivery, we will dine in next time. Brisket was amazing! Family of 4 tried all meats, slaw and chips. Chicken breast was dry drumstick perfect. Chips no doubt will taste crispy dining in. Pickle needs a little kick more tangy and sweet to break through that gorgeous Brisket!! Kids loved the ribs and pork butt. Overall excellent family take-out and super fast delivery.

Wow. Just wow. I had the brisket sandwich and my wife had the brisket taco. The flavours were amazing! The brisket was perfectly cooked! We will definitely come back once we visit the island again.

Amazing restaurant with delicious smoked meats and stunning jalapeño margarita. One of the best smoked BBQ ribs I got. Highly recommended. Friendly prices.

First timer. I always judge a BBQ joint by the brisket…a challenging cut to cook and hold. They did a perfect job, tender and moist! The sausage was a pleasant surprise as well. I’ll be returning for sure!

I've been here countless times now and I still don't know what to write in addition to my original 5 star review. I am the type of person to always be trying new restaurants but I can't help but come back here every few weeks either on my own or to show more family and friends. I don't know what else to say other than that this place will blow your mind.

I first hear of this place from a friend who said they have amazing food and well I gots to know what’s the music all about. We took the ferry early from Vancouver and look at those meals. I made sure I took a picture for you guys lol. We was greeted and served in a decent time. 10-15min, got checked on! Staff was pretty lit and we not even from here🥳🙏🏾

This place has fantastic BBQ. The meat is so tender and flavourful. The sauce is sweet, tangy, and perfectly balanced the meal. The beans are smoky and well prepared. They are not soggy or mushy. The staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place and I will be back for sure

Tonight was our first night trying this place after eyeing it for awhile. We ordered the pork butt sandwich and the Big Crunch poutine and had no complaints. The meat was tender, the food was well seasoned, and the poutine was the perfect consistency. We all agreed that the only downside to the meal was the cornbread which was a little dry and small considering it’s $4. We will definitely be going back!

I had the Jones Big Crunch Chicken sandwich and it is always amazing. Great place to go with excellent service and an inviting and fun atmosphere. Food and drinks are wonderful. Will definitely return.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Had lunch there for the first time and gotta say their food was very good. I had the 2-meat combo with brisket (amazing) and a turkey leg (phenomenal) and fries and beans. The quality of the food is great, although I wasn't too impressed with the beans. Everything else was extremely tasty, right down to the brioche and pickles. Only complaint is that the food is not cheap. I don't mind paying a bit more for good quality food but after I was done I was hungry an hour later. For the price, the portions are a bit small. Could be because it was the first meal of the day for me and I'd already been working for 7 1/2 hrs. All in all I will go back and try more of their delicious foods!

Had the grandpa Jones sandwich!! It was awesome, perfect amount of smoke, nice heat great slaw to finish it off!! Also great portion for the price, very much worth it!! Good job guys!

I have been wanting to try this place for a while. I was not disappointed. I wish I tried it sooner. The brisket was so good. I would recommend this bbq joint an A+

It was the best, my husband loved it as it wasn't cooked in bbq sauce, as he doesn't like it We are delighted to say that we are going again and again. I must admit the coleslaw needed something as it was very bland for me, others might like it The staff are very friendly and the place is clean and tidy

I think I've found my happy place. Damn!! Got the brisket and pulled pork. Damn!!! Got the slaw and potato salad. Damn!!! The dill pickles. Damn!! The bbq sauce. Damn!! I will be back

Quite simply, if the scents from the smoker do not get you coming in, then you must not be a fan of bbq! Tried the beef (this was very sweet) and the chicken. Both are very delectable, and I very much loved how the fried chicken tasted like it was well baked. I assume the sauces and the pickles are in-house made. The latter stole the show!

A must visit! My family and I stop here first thing after arriving in this city. So happy to have such a great BBQ spot to go to. Jones for the win! :)

I loved the food. I had the grandpa Jones sandwich. The pork butt and smookie were great but the bun soaked up too much and fell apart. And some of the food was a bit cold. But great taste and I will be back.

Brisket was the highlight for me. Unbelievable, melt-in-your-mouth like I've never experienced before, with great flavour! Pulled pork and ribs also perfectly executed. Highly recommended. (Not licensed.)

Had the pulled pork sand which for lunch, with side of slaw and potato salad to share, the meat melted in my mouth! The potato salad was wonderful, the slaw was nothing to write home about, the watermelon drink was refreshing , felt like I was drinking a watermelon, had sprigs of mints at bottem of glass!

Ive had the platter for 2 now twice. Feeds me, my husband and our 7 year old for two meals. We just finished off our left overs tonight. I think about this BBQ often its that good. Ive never had a better brisket before.

Tender meat, tasty, cool place and great staff. Pit Beans are a must try, sweet, tangy. Giving Jones and extra 1/2 round up from 3.5 given it’s a bar above most of the BBQ in Vic/BC. If you’ve never had a pit master BBQ and you like good tender tasty BBQ you can’t go wrong here. Agree with the sentiments from others about the smoke rings being on the smaller side and it would benefit from an injection of extra flavour (given comparison to other proper BBQ). Definitely worth the eat. (They also serve whisky now)

A trip to the island resulted in trying Jones BBQ. Friendly helpful service and excellent food. I had brisket and chicken with my choice of sides being beans and slaw. It was all so tasty. My favorite was the chicken thigh. Such amazing flavour and tender meat. I also loved the beans which had pieces of meat in it.<br/>Rainbowcrab had brisket and pulled pork. She said she loved them both. I liked that you can add your sauce if you want it. I can't wait to go backi.

Ordered some take out from Jones a while back as a change from the usual suspects: pizza/tacos/Chinese/sushi.<br/><br/>We ordered the "mama jones" platter to go. It smelt pretty good in the bag and on the 5min drive home. Overall, is rate it as some of the better BBQ I have sampled in Vic, but considering the only other real option in Vic was Pig, that's not a really high bar. The highlights for me were the slaw, pickles and fries! The pulled pork was flavorless and tasted like it was made in a slow-cooker from a food network recipe. I know because I have committed such sacrilege before I got my smoker. Anyhoo, the brisket was really fatty and the smoke ring was pretty thin and it lacked any kick in the flavor dept. It was cooked exceptionally well, but I thought it was lacking a lot of the flavor of a proper Texas Brisket. The ribs were meh. I'm not a big rib guy, but they weren't very amazing for a place the specializes in BBQ. Honestly, you can get a better tub at Earls or the Keg. The "red barn" sausages were pretty good, but it's a store bought sausage.... I mean really, that's like going to a restaurant and ordering KD but paying $8 for half a box.... there's not a lot you can do to reinvent the wheel here or justify the price.<br/><br/><br/>All in all, it was a decent but sorta overpriced meal. If you totally useless with the Q, but are dying for some BBQ, give it a shot. I'll stick to cooking it at home.<br/>

Simple, casual, filling. Generous portions. Would be nice if they had some additional sides to choose from. Brisket was good. Enjoyed the sauce and the toasted brioche too. Good smoke on the pork butt.

The barbecue smell when you walk in is fantastic, the service is quick and friendly and the sandwich and fries I had were delicious. I liked the fries because they were the old fashioned skinny "fish and chip" fries that really soak up vinegar and ketchup. The bun they used was perfect, soft but didn't fall apart when you add more BBQ sauce, and the meat had the right amount of BBQ flavour.

Best sandwiches anywhere. Meat was spot on every time I've been. Usually quite fast and friendly. I would recommend this place to all serious meat lovers.

Food is awesome (but beans are hard and not cooked properly) and service is crap. Got three meals to go. We were the only ones in there when we walked in Got home and everything we ordered was mixed up and missing ribs and coleslaw. Wife called to let them know the order was mixed up and missing stuff and all the girl could do on the other end of the phone was offer ribs and coleslaw 'for free' even though we already paid for stuff we never got. Then as she hung up the phone she was laughing. Really! Very disappointed overall which is too bad because we do rate the food. Not the first time we've had problems.

They have a menu that is short and sweet and they do it pretty well.  Ribs are as you would expect, tasty and flavourful and tender.  Brisket is maybe a little tougher than I would prefer.  Pork butt is great but not amazing - pulled pork in sauce kind of deal.  BBQ beans are good but inconsistent, I have had them super watery at times and nice and thick other times.  Fries are average.  Pickles are okay.  Not a fan of potato salad or slaw so I can't comment on them, though my wife liked the potato salad and disliked the slaw.  Bun and BBQ sauce are pretty good.  Prices are decent.  This is probably my go-to spot for semi-affordable BBQ, though the best BBQ I've had in BC was up in Prince George of all places.  Would love if they delved into fried chicken.  I wish Jones luck, I think they are honing their craft and can only get better with attention to detail.  Good for takeout!

Awesome! Food was excellent, service was super friendly, fast and organized. Portion was massive...more than I could eat. Get there early cause they sell out.

I was expecting more flavour. <br/>Pork butt was awesome. <br/>Sausage was pretty good and packed some heat. <br/>Potato salad and slaw were bland. Seasoning definitely needed, but not readily available on the table. <br/>Bread was nice. <br/>Pickles were crunchy. <br/>Watermelon agua was refreshing and calmed the spice from the hot sauce!<br/>Cold brew coffee definitely had a kick.<br/><br/>I'll definitely go back to try the sandwiches. Maybe a pork butt sandwich or taco because it was spot on. 3.5 average for this visit. I'm hopeful it will be better next time.

Have been enjoying this spot, at least once/week sometimes twice/week, since the day after opening. Everything I've eaten has been spot on, but the brisket is insanely good! If you're super hungry, order the Grandpa Jones. Your mouth will thank you.

Brand new. Great addition to the neighborhood.<br/>Funky decor. Good location.<br/><br/>The food is really good. Good BBQ is hard to beat comfort food.<br/>Sold out early for the first week or two but they certainly seem to have it figured now.<br/><br/>The larger plattes make for a fun meal share.<br/>Ive been three times already?!.<br/>Not sure what happened on my last visit but the portion sizes were noticably smaller.<br/>The beer taps are there but not hooked up yet.<br/>A mug of local craft beer and a giant plate of BBQ will be an easy sell.<br/>Two messy thumbs up.
