Super cute ice cream scoop and icecream sandwich shop! I go out of my way to come here for my sweet tooth fixes, also got vegan ice cream and non alcoholic beverage options. Very cute aesthetic, I love my "business in the front, party in the back shirt" from the, they got cool merch too, recommend!

High quality locally made ice cream. Well known by locals as a fantastic place for great Vegan and gluten-free options.
Not a sit down place and they only have a few of their flavours on rotation, but getting a pint or half pint is so worth it.
Best of all are their ice cream sandwiches. The cookies in them are fantastic and they have them for a good portion of the flavours they carry.
They also have a selection of local goods like chocolate bars, cookies, small decorative items, etc.

What the ideal small ice cream shop looks like to me. They've got the classic flavours, the seasonal flavours, and the wacky flavours for every customer. Ice cream is churned right there in the shop and all the flavour notes can be tasted. Their ice cream sandwiches are hefty and filling. Will be coming back for sure.

Cold Comfort Ice Cream was highly recommended to us, since my husband is an ice cream fanatic and I'm dairy-free.
We walked over on a very warm day and found this place tucked around the backside of a building in a parking lot. You'd have to know it was back there, but it made it feel like a more local, less touristy place. With a 4.7 rating, lots of locals do know about it.
Love their motto: Doing whatever the hell we feel like since 2010.
Friendly customer service and they answered questions. I was thrilled to be able to order a small cup (one scoop) of very creamy vegan mint chocolate chip $4 and my husband ordered The Plain Jane ice cream sandwich $8, which was vanilla ice cream in a chocolate cookie sandwich.
Very good and I'm so glad we tried this local favorite. Very good prices. They were out of some items, so I'd go early if you have a favorite. Pints also available. They have the cutest delivery vehicle, too.

Love the ice cream here. It definitely is a little pricey but we enjoy it so much. The ice cream sandwiches are our favourites. I love the Roseberry Avenue, the Choc O’Clock and the Plain Jane sandwiches the best. I wish they would offer a deal on buying 6 at a time! They are great to have in the freezer at home for a treat. ❤️

This is a nice little shop just outside the city centre for some cold treats! The shop itself is only tiny but the space where you can park, sit, wait in line and enjoy your food is unique and spacious.
Nice to see some delicious ice cream options and some interesting others as well.

It is truly the best ice cream you would ever have! We had four different kinds and each of them were so delicious and uniquely flavored… They are all made in house (both the ice cream and biscuit). Definitely recommending it ..

This was a new experience and a local favorite. Delicious regular and lactose free ice cream sandwiches and pints. We had a plain Jane ice cream sandwich. Vanilla ice cream between chocolate chip cookies. So yummy!!! They also sell various flavors in pints. I totally recommend this place if you can find it.

Cold Comfort makes THE absolute best ice cream. It's simply divine. Every unique flavour more delicious than the last. If you can score an "Adventure Bite Box" I highly recommend you do so. This ice cream is an indulgence, worthy of an ordinary day or celebrations. (they also make outstanding cakes)
Splurge and treat yourself to the best ice cream of your life.. Gluten Free ? Dairy Free? Vegan ? They got something for everyone. I most definitely left my heart at Cold Comfort.

I had an emergency Plain Jane cookie yesterday that I got at Root Cellar. The cookie was chewy and crispy, sweet and a tiny bit salty. The vanilla ice cream perfectly cold and creamy and wonderful.
I also adore the rosemary sour cherry and hope they're still making it because it's been way too long.

Cold Comfort is probably the most unique ice cream you are likely to find. The flavours available are not your ordinary or usual combinations. Elderflower, Apple Pie, Chardonnay, Beer, Marmalade are amongst the offerings. The Golden Grahams ice cream sandwich is one of my favourites.
With lots of choice, many of them unusual, be adventurous in your choice. You can always return for another helping! Yummy!

Love the ice cream sandwiches from Cold Comfort. I’ve never found anywhere better and there’s a sandwich to suit any style you’re looking for, including gluten and dairy free if that’s what you need. They’re small so they don’t always have every flavour in stock. Be sure to check back to see new flavours and re-stocks. The Golden Graham is my favourite (Salted Caramel Ice Cream) so far. Choc-o-clock is excellent if your love chocolate and Plain Jane is great when you are craving vanilla. Tried the Horchata on my last visit and it’s a new favourite as well.

Ooooohhh man! What a treasure this place is! The ice cream sandwiches were so good both in cookie and ice cream. They even have dairy free and vegan options.
The staff were helpful in explaining the differences between the sandwiches.

Well I ordered a 10-12 person dairy free cake for my birthday. I was disappointed at first when only a few friends were able to come. However I've been eating ice cream cake for 3 days straight.
