Lotus Pond - Victoria - Photo album

Amazing veggie/vegan Chinese food dishes. After going vegan 5 years ago I’ve dreamed of enjoying saucy and delicious chow mein noodles again… this fits the bill. I wish there were more places like this. Great service, very friendly. Two of us got the two item combo and it was perfect, not pictured w
So delicious, filling and nourishing!!!! The service was SUPER KIND AND FRIENDLY and the place is very clean and inviting! I’m a vegetarian who doesn’t really like most meat alternatives, so I was a little skeptical! But I found everything we ordered super tasty and satisfying. It’s also very freei
Went to Lotus Pond in Victoria BC for the first time... won’t be the last (unless they close). But so good. Ate WAY too much because it was too hard not to just polish it all off. Started with the turnip cakes. I’m pretty sure every table started with these beauties because they are just so good. Tu
I rode my bicycle to Lotus Pond from Vic West. I spoke to Laithe on the phone as I made my order. As I have remarked in my earlier review of Affinity Vegetarian Garden, it is uncommon to find a completely vegan Chinese restaurant. Lotus Pond does a plant-based spin on the Americanized Chinese classi
Great food, good prices, and friendly staff!!! The lunch buffet is awesome!!! The food is fresh and they have a big variety of dishes. All the dishes are vegetarian and you don't even miss meat. All well seasoned and worm. It can get pretty busy at lunchtime. You can also order from the menu.
I’m still in disbelief that this place exists. Great accommodating staff who speak Cantonese and Mandarin, excellent food. The menu gives a plethora of tasty options, including gluten free dishes. I only wish the place was bigger with more seating. Highly recommend the mock duck (#8). Will revisit t
Their signature Turnip Cakes are excellent. Long menu of choices. No onion or garlic used. I took away one order of turnip cakes (3 cakes, a very good deal for $5.50), Pan-fried Mixed Vegetables in Crushed Ginger Sauce $12.95, and Mushroom Fried Rice $14.95. All really good, mild flavour, generous p
Pretty good price for all the food we got! Although was not a big fan of the sweet and sour sauce, tasted a little too gingery and watered down for me. Loved all the mock meat options offered though, would buy from again!
Delicious food. The texture of mock duck was on point. Turnip cakes were good. I wasn't impressed with the wanton soup. Don't expect cheap & greasy Chinese fare. The food here is homey yet sophisticated, without feeling too healthful.
the mock meat is very impressive. the service was super fast and friendly. couldn’t be more pleased! we ordered combos: the tofu, pineapple balls, and mock chicken were superb!
Delicious vegetarian food with authentic Chinese flavours. The menu has vegetarian Chinese standards as well as tasty vegetarian takes on meat dishes. We had the Eight Treasures hot pot, Szechuan eggplant, and house chao mien. The former two were satisfying classics, meanwhile the noodles had impre
Great feeling to have traditional Chinese food with all my classic favourites like fried rice, chow main, and wonton soup.
This is probably my favourite Chinese Food Restaurant in Victoria. Lotus Pond made it possible for a vegetarian to try/eat food that would otherwise be made with meat or meat products. I have been a regular here for many years and have recommended it to my vegetarian friends. Now that they are closi
We has lemon chick'n, sweet and sour balls, veggies and chick'n in peppercorn sauce and vegetable fried rice. Delicious!
Excellent Vegan (Asian) food! Loved the noodle soups, Schezwan tofu, Chow mien and everything we ate there. Good customer service also (the stewardess was patient in taking our order and helpful). Heads up : Take out only - no Dine in
Great holistic food. The buffet by weight was nice. My plate only costed 12$ and I got so many options.
I'm not at all a fan of Chinese food other than Indian-Chinese but wow I was truly impressed with this place. The service was helpful and friendly, the food was steaming hot for pick up and everything we ordered was delicious. We ordered the Shanghai noodles, the mapu tofu (could have been spicier),
Favourite takeout place in town, love that everything is vegan but omnivores love it too. My favourite dishes are the turnip cakes, Szechuan chili eggplant, Ginger B, and any dish with bean curd layers. I appreciate how much care they take in wrapping the to-go orders up to prevent spilling!
Ordered dinner for take-out, service was good, food was delicious.
