This was our first trip to the island and I can’t think of a better, more welcoming and peaceful place to stay and explore the island! It’s close to Victoria, the airport, and so easy to come and go. Five star service, food, everything was fabulous! Highly recommend!!!!
We picked the Brentwood for one night when our flight was cancelled and needed a place to stay. Everything about this place is lovely. The food was excellent and the room we had was super comfortable. Will definitely go back for longer next time.
The view from our room was nothing short of spectacular and our spa package was simply amazing. The very professional staff, secluded location and easy drive to Buchart Gardens make this place a winner!
Just had breakfast there this morning. Even though they were about to close for the morning we were welcomed in and had a delicious breakfast. The waitress was very gracious.
Great food, beautiful view, Derek is an amazing server! Awesome service by all staff though. Great family experience or later for a great fireside date night.

Brentwood Bay Resort and Spa was such an relaxing and amazing place to be for our honeymoon! I highly recommend it if you are looking for great views and great food!

It's a nice place, it has decent staff and the food is okay. We were seated under a very loud little speaker and couldn't really talk. The waitress was very decent about relocated us. One thing about this place is nobody is ever in any hurry. There seems to be a lot of staff and there were several free but dirty tables and nobody cleaning them when we arrived. A fair line at the door to get in. Once the young man realizes nobody was hosting, they quickly seated everyone. I appreciated that he grabbed the reigns like that.
Food is typically very slow here. The waitresses seem to let you sit a while after they've cleared your table before thinking about giving you the bill.
With only 1 drink between us, the bill was nearing $90 with tip and I was still hungry. I'm not crazy about where restaurants are going with prices and plate sizes. We eat out a fair bit and the trend for me is to eat out fewer times as a result. Sushi is average at best. Chowder is decent. Burgers, okay...... The view however is fantastic. It's also very nice to have a drink outside on the deck here.
This is one of the best kept secrets of all time. The food is fantastic and the service is impeccable! They accommodate and are well versed in food allergies. The staff works extremely well together and are very friendly. From the cocktail specials, to the varied menu, to the reasonable prices, everything is superb. Kudos to Christian (the manager) and the entire staff!
What a great place for a couples getaway. Hospitality at its best. And the place is gorgeous, right in the water. Spacious, luxurious, reasonably priced. We had a great time :)
Great upscale bar at the resort, the staff looked sharp, the food was tasty and well presented..
Only one issue, the taps in the men’s washroom are super high pressure and will likely spray back water on you when you turn the taps on.
Barman was particularly friendly helpful.
I think I would have taken more photos of the view but I was too busy with the food, which was amazing! They try to source most of their food locally and on island (probably wasn't true for my dish, but it was sushi), and they seem to be fairly antiplastic, with none in sight. Great place, good service, delicious food.
Calamari to die for, dirty martinis were fabulous!
I’ve also got to give special mention to our our incredible waitress Amy. She was very attentive and clearly has a natural way with people. Not only was the service impressive while we dined, Amy then found out it was our anniversary and personally delivered a special dessert to our room with a delicious bottle of cider.
We will definitely be back! 🙌🏼
We've dined here several times, and it's always a pleasant experience. Drinks are good, food is delicious, and the sushi was such a surprise! I didn't expect sushi this delicious from a pub. Worth the stop, if you're in Brentwood Bay. It's very close to the ferry too!
Blackened chicken was too spicy for my tastes. Really liked the kale slaw and my blood orange gin fizz was yummy!! Man playing the piano/ singing was way too loud when trying to enjoy a conversation with the person sitting next to you. Our Server was nice.
Went here for my wedding anniversary. Our server was friendly but a little slow at the beginning. The view on the patio was fantastic. Nice heating if your cold . Great menu selection and price. The cider selection is unreal . My only complaint is my beef dip was about a 1/10 ... I understand we are on the island but that was embarrassing.. as an entire experience we had a great time, candles were put out as the sun went down and once our server was not so busy she was a perfect 10. We will be back our next visit to the island. We both recommend the maki rolls and the fried cauliflower!
I’ve been pretty lucky with both food and staff each time I’ve gone. Food seems to depend on item, some seam a bit over priced for the amount of food you get, but it all tastes wonderful.
The staff is friendly, but it can be slow when busy, not their fault.
The atmosphere is lovely, but can be a bit loud at times. It is a pub and popular spot.
