Super yummy food! I loved the butchers block burger. Crispy and tasty, not too messy. I upgraded to yam fries. We also got the southwest bowl which was good! The desserts were ok but not the best.
The one thing is, it wasn’t busy or anything but I felt the service was very slow. Took a long time for them to come around to us. But the food is great ! The patio portion is heated and enclosed which is cool.

The customer service in the restaurant was good, our servers were friendly and welcoming. All of the items we ordered were delicious. I was a little busy inside the restaurant, but a majority of the restaurants around this area are and it was definitely worth the wait. Would definitely come again!

There are a few Browns in town, we went to the one downtown which has good location, staff are friendly, allow reservation and more importantly it is not too busy as the one uptown. Highly recommend.

Went looking for a place to have brunch. Had immediate seating which was a bonus on a Sunday morning in Victoria. Food was good and plentiful, but the potatoes were undercooked. Server was very nice and attentive.

My friend and I ordered through the website, and when we came in to pick it up, a very friendly server got it for us right away. While she was fetching our order, another very friendly server greeted us and offered to seat us! Very fast, amazing food (best chicken fettuccine alfredo I've ever had), and the atmosphere we saw was very nice. They even wrote a little "Enjoy" note on the bag :)

Great weather, patio seating, and watch the world go by; a nice break (brake) mid-week, and always great service. Worth a visit.
Food was delicious, 1/2 order was filling and just the right size for dining alone. Drinks here slightly more expensive but comparable to similar dining options. Sangria very freshing with berries and peach compote but too much ice. Nice atmosphere and I appreciated the professional yet comfortable service.

Met a friend for happy hour. It would have been nice to have another choice of seating. So busy and plenty of hub-bub noise close to the service area and kitchen. Social white wine, gluten free dry ribs and chips and guacamole. Yummy The server was great. The bathrooms were clean. ✔️

I ordered the steak well done and this is the only place I've haven't actually had to send back. The best steak place now because my husband isn't embarrassed with me sending it back 3 or 4 times to get it well done ✅ this location is more friendly compared to the uptown location we've been to prior to this location.

Late dinner and we received the best friendly service from the host to the waiter and bartender! The quesadia came with mind blowing salsa and guacamole-5 star experience all the way around! Thank you!

Superb service, hard working staff, there was a small error with our order and they remade the dish right away. My fish tacos were awesome, super filling and the house salad had a great tang to it. My wife really enjoyed the chicken sandwich, great breading on it.

I’m sorry to say this was one of the most terrible restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. We arrived at 1:40 and was seated after a not very inviting hostess found us a seat. We ordered brunch as we just made the brunch time window, breakfast sandwich and eggs Benedict. We didn’t get our food until 2:40 with no check in from our waitress to let us know what was going on. When we got our food we would have forgiven the lengthy time waiting however the food was denny’s Level of mediocrity. I was given a tiny nugget of procuito and our pan fries were crunchy rock potatoes. This was one of the only times I had to use salt on my food and didn’t tip. Deeply disappointed in this location as I’ve really enjoyed other browns locations before. The team that worked St. Patrick’s day need a serious talking too.

Great food and great service. The staff was awesome as we were enjoying our family day as a family together and didn’t realize that service took longer than expected but the staff recognized before we did and treated us well. Big high 5 for Victoria staff

The food was good and the service excellent. Our waitress could not have been more friendly and competent. What spoiled the whole experience was the terrible choice of music. Rather than enhancing the dining experience it ruined it.

My second time at a Browns Socialhouse...first in Kelowna now this one. Both did not disappoint!!! Love the decor, food was great as was the service. Would highly recommend for a group or if you're flying solo (as I was yesterday)

What happened to Browns. Happy Hour is not available on Weekends except after nine. All the other pubs etc have happy hour. It's the social hour. Why go to Browns now. The service at the Douglas location is slow. What happen to this place. To bad this perfect people watching spot isn't your neighbour hood style pub anymore it's run as a corpation who only can about numbers not how you treat people. Sorry Browns but with all the out door patios around you might want to do better. Bring back happy hour everyday.

After dining here for several years, I ordered tonight and I need an in edible burger. I couldn't get past two bites. Their crispy chicken burger used to be so good, now I wouldn't feed it to a dog. The bartender still expected me to pay for it. Whatever you do, don't order a burger. Bad service should not follow bad food. I won't be back, what terrible service.

Meh! Food isn't great very chain-like dishes and quality. Sometimes service is good other times it's poor. Staff are not knowledgeable about the food they are serving.

Terrific (but messy to eat) Halibut Tacos. Ask for extra napkins or bring your wet wipes. They're worth the trouble.

I have tried and tried and tried over and over to give this place "one last try". But they keep failing me. SLOW service. Takes forever to get a drink. Bathrooms without toilet paper. This isn't based on one occurrence. Every single time. For the past 3 years. I'm done. It's absolutely ridiculous.
Side note. Uptown location is run ridiculously well in comparison. Keep it up! Xo
