Review Bin 4 Burger Lounge - Victoria

We decided to visit Bin 4 because of the award that it has won. The modern style was appropriate for a young professional. Personally, the music was a bit too loud, but the seating was comfortable. The waitress was very good, accommodated our requests and provided an excellent suggestion to try the dual rings and fries, instead of just picking one over the other. They were excellent, as was the burger. I also ordered the fried pickles and they were very tasty. Everything was very good. The only con is that prices were quite high. But, as a rare exception, the price matched the quality and was a pleasant change.

High quality burgers. Had a great waitress she always was refilling our drinks. We absolutely loved the burgers and the salad with amazing. Definitely recommend you gotta eat here! Great chicken trust I got it today!

Bin 4 in Langford holds a special place in our hearts. It's where our love story began back in 2018, and now as a married couple, we were thrilled to revisit and indulge in their scrumptious dishes. Since our move to Vancouver, we haven't had the chance to dine here, so this reunion was long overdue. The burgers are downright divine, and their salad single-handedly converted me into a salad enthusiast. Pure deliciousness, in addition to our usual gourmet burger, we treated ourselves to a tantalizing starter: pork belly with mushrooms and fries. Finding parking is a breeze, and the restaurant caters to both indoor and outdoor dining experience. The entire staff is delightful and incredibly welcoming. Not to mention, the restroom is clean. A special shout-out to our server, who went above and beyond with his pleasant and accommodating nature. He definitely deserves a raise! :) I highly recommend paying a visit to Bin 4 at this location. Who knows, you might just stumble upon love or, at the very least, fall head over heels for their incredible cuisine. :)

Always good food and good vibes! Half price after 9 is a classic. I had the zero proof Raspberry Lavender Fizz recommended by Payton and it was delicious! The Wild Mushroom burger with half fries/half salad is one of my staple dishes.

Half price on burgers after 9PM is a steal. This meal was only 35$ when it would have costed 70$ +. I’ll be back for another burger challenge early august. Would recommend to anyone debating on trying the spot out, it goes super tough and the food is pretty nutty!

Out for a family meal with a friend . Service was spot on . They were brilliant and really accommodating. We got the chicken strips and fries . Which were amazing . Chicken was tender and wasn't dry . Didn't feel rushed at all .

While visit Victoria was invited to dinner by my host. I usually don't think a whole lot about burger places, not fine dining and usually the offerings from one place to the other is not that great. Well I was pleasantly surprised by Bin 4, the food was excellent and I really enjoyed my meal, and would consider going back again if I was in Victoria again. I loved my lamb burger and the accompanying salad and fried pickles were both excellent as well. Lots of parking, though we did have to wait for someone to leave and we could only eat on the terrace as the interior was fully booked.

There were two of us… and it was a Friday. I had the burger with seared ahi tuna patties which was served with a delicious strawberry goat cheese salad. Because of the anticipated size, I asked for the burger to be cut in half when I ordered and it arrived just as I’d asked. The burger was delicious! It took a long time to get our food, but we asked and it was due to staffing shortage so I’m not going to let that affect my review. Allow more time and relax. Altogether, we were at the restaurant for 90 mins.

Food is great. last night we ordered an appetizer to start, as well as burgers. Waited 45 minutes for the food, and the appetizer came out at the same time as our burgers which was disappointing because we made it clear we wanted it to start. Ended up not eating 3/4 of the appetizer since we had our burgers. Usually great but had a disappointing experience last night.

I really love going to Bin 4. The food has always been exceptionally fresh, I like that they do feature burgers drinks desserts and appetizers every month. It's always nice when you can get a good deal on a meal so if you go after 9:00 p.m. all burgers are on sale. I'm usually visiting the restaurant minimally once a month to try out the feature Burger. It's definitely a place worth getting your name on the list at 8:45 p.m. so you can have a 9:00 p.m. table at a special evening rate. I like to say thanks to all the staff for such great service and to Dan for an opening up such a great chain that he has started and is now traveling across BC.

Great burgers! Been to 3 different locations and the chefs are very good! Service could improve but food will never let you down...

Surprisingly great ingredients, different meats such as wagyu, buffalo etc. Burgers are maybe too filling, ordered wild mushroom & big penny. Good quality, however I found the wild mushroom heavy too finish. Fries are good.

I love Bin, always have. The Ahi Tuna burger I crave on a regular basis. I did however place a Skip order the other night, took 2 hours to get to my home (not Bins fault at all) but the food wasn’t remade…still enjoyed it but would have preferred fresh.

Food was good and I don't have to much waiting time to sit down. The reason I gave one star review is about their waitress, and blonde hair girl with nose ring in middle, tall and lean. Didn't catch her name. The worst I have seen in a long time, at least most recent 5 years. The beginning was good and she gives me some recommendations, things start getting worse from she asked me what I want to drink, I'm here for business and don't want to hang over. So I Chose water instead of any alcohol. I can literally feel her attitude changed and she walked away without saying anything. Since I was waiting for my food, I want to watch some videos, I said two ' excuse me ' to this waitress with a smile trying to ask for wifi password, no response just walked away( I was sitting in a bar table and she worked kind of like a bartender but I guess she is not qualified and no training for her hospitality), I got my password from another waitress, and start watching video, the bar has some background music, so I have to louder my phone to listen to video I played on my phone, literally their is no one near me in 3 meters, no seating people next to me and she use her gesture and said to let me lower my volume down in an arrogant way.<br/>Common its an iphone and its reached about 80 percent of its volume. Guys, you can try it in a bar and sitting only yourself, it wont bother anyone. Anyway I finished the food still paid her 10 percent tips which I really don't want to. I guess the reason is two, first I didn't order any drinks, second, I'm asian looking person and she is a racist. That's it, so bad feeling to be in this restaurant.

Take out order<br/>Burger didn’t have cheese or bacon. Patty was unseasoned and somewhat dry. Had to slather it in the aioli to make it edible. <br/>Onion rings were nearly burned, but thankfully not. Also unseasoned

Food is always amazing. <br/>Full of locally sourced menu items. <br/>Taste of heaven what ever item you choose. Drink menu is on point too. <br/>Service can be a 50/50 mix of good and really bad.

Probably the best burger I’ve ever had! The menu is very unique and there is something for everyone. Great service. Glad we found this place, we’ll be back!

The food here was very good.... The service was ok, the hostess who seated us seemed a bit annoyed to be working however. The selection is unique, but I do wish they had a build your own burger option (if they did, it wasn't clear to me). $2 extra to have 5 (average tasting) onion rings substituted for the fries, is a bit steep however.

A great restaurant always. Service was amazing. The burgers are always great. Bin 18 the Dirty Bourbon Burger was my choice this time. Weather was great and able to eat outside on the patio. Been here several times and the food and service is always great.

Interesting monthly features that keep us coming back! Big fat Greek burger is an all time fave and have only been disappointed by the deep fried prickles. We are secretly hoping the mozza sticks from a few months ago come back!

Food has always been good! After 9 pm half off is always great! Can be very crowded so expect wait times. I have never had a bad meal here!! I also quite enjoy their salad. Good for one person to get a side salad and one to get fries and good to split!

aprox a month ago, I wrote in an email about some poor quality burgers, we had received on a few visits to the west shore location. It wasn't a rant just an FYI as a loyal customer that the kitchen was slipping and getting dramatically worse with each visit. Within an hour, I had a very nice email back. I was asked for my address so I could be compensated for our meal etc. I provided the information..... and have NEVER heard back or received anything. Talk about Customer Service failure right there.

The customer service we received here was without a doubt some of the worst. I would highly recommend not sitting in "Marie's" section. Was told we were cheap and trying to cheat the system.

Great spot for burgers and the constant business running through there proves it. The only thing I'd like to see is more variety in the sides offered. The fries/onion rings/salad option gets old if you're a regular. I'd love to see some soup offered as a side for a more fresh touch.

Best burger place in town! I eat here probably once a week and don't get tired of it! The menu offers so many delicious side choices so you can have a different meal each time! Always impressed with the service and good quality

Tried this place for the first time after hearing family and friends talk about it. Had the Bin 96 Bison Burner. Delicious! And the spiced potato chips are so good, too. I love a great bison burger and this hit the spot. We went for the "late night," 50% off burgers when you order a drink. I ordered pop $3.<br/>Great place, busy for Wednesday late night dine. Would definitely recommend this place to others and I would go again.

Bin 4 is okay. There are better burger joints downtown Victoria for sure. There is just too much going on. The fries and onion rings are good though!

I went on a Monday night of a long weekend.Bad mistake! I asked the server who seated us how long it would take to get served. She assured me it would only be 20 minutes. I had to ask to get our table cleaned and for some cutlery. After 50 minutes and just as we were getting up to leave, our food arrived. After investing so much time already, we stayed and ate. The food was mediocre and not worth the wait. The management needs to hire more staff on the floor and in the kitchen. Save your money and eat at A and W

Best Burgers. Finally went to Bin 4 and have to say that it was amazing. The burgers were awesome. The service great and love that the kitchen is open and you can see the cooks working hard to fill the orders. Great addition to the Westshore!!

Meh. Appetizers were ok but the waitress messed up my order and I had to wait for 40 minutes for my burger while the person I was having dinner with had already finished their dinner.

Outstanding!. We had the bin 4 burger with all the extras and the time burger. Simply the best food we've had in a restaurant in years! Everything is fresh and house made and absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back!

A solid addition for Langford in the perfect downtown location. Ambience is modern and trendy, accommodating for all types, and service is always professional and friendly. Most of all, food is great. The complimentary housemade chips are yummy. Everything is fresh, local, organic etc in true Victoria "localvore" fashion - a foodie movement thats finally spreading to the Westshore burbs! It's a huge success and only hope more popular joints downtown would take notice and open second locations out here (hello Shine, Jam, Foo, Tacofino!!) Bin is always busy and it's because of the solid food. Even the ketchup is made in house! The hubby likes Dirty Bourbon with added bacon and cheese. Lemony champagne house dressing is one of the best I've tasted (if sold in bottles I would buy by the caseload!!) Only wish they would shake up the veggie bean burger option, or offer more handmade patty variations. Being a gourmet burger joint and with so many meat options on the menu I'm surprised only one handmade veg patty option (portobello and fried tofu don't count!)! I still stand by my favourite at Pink Bicycle which manages to put together a soft but crispy black bean patty that tastes like a meat burger not fall-apart crumbly like Bins (needs a change up in texture with soft bun, soft cheese and soft patty). A la carte option would be nice too - sometimes all I want is just a burger without a side! Otherwise one of the best joints in Westshore and they do a great bagged take out that is picnic ready and easy peasy!

Poor. Wow. Me and 4 friends go here every Friday night, we waited over 1hr for our burgers and they still came out wrong so disappointed we got comped our onion rings for having to wait an hour plus but still didn't get the right orders ... Been here 4-6 times last few months never had such bad wait times wasnting even busy came in at 10:15 food came 11:40 just left at midnight way to long for not even a busy restaurant very disappointed staff didn't care

Never been here before only been to the downtown victoria location. I took him out for his birthday. He ordered the heritage burger he liked. I ordered the black and blue burger I really hated it especially those nasty pickled onions. I love burgers but that was the worse I ever had. Mom ordered the salad with the disgusting vinagerette dressing.i can't understand why they don't have better alternative dressings. Then they charged her 6 dollars for a really sad looking piece of chicken. The only high part of our vist was the half/half fries onion rings with the dips. Wouldn't recommend this place to any of my friends or family

Great Breakfast Club burger. Also the January special Chili Fries are a must! Also the Skor Cheesecake is amazing.

Great food! Service was just okay.. The burgers were great! <br/><br/>We requested a booth when we arrived and the server told us they were reserved. EVERY booth? That's not good service. Two were still available when we left an hour later.

Great food!. I don't recommend getting take out because the two times we went first they forgot my dressing on my salad and the second time they forgot the dipping sauces we ordered (or just open the bag and check before you drive all the way home) we live too far away to make driving back for those things worth it both times. The waitresses are sweet one time we had our puppy outside and the servers ran out to pat him.<br/><br/>I love the unique and interesting menu its a little dingy and poorly lit inside but overall a solid place to grab a bite to eat and a personal favorite of my boyfriend and I.

Best burgers anywhere. Such imaginative and delicious creations. We will most certainly be back for more wonderful food and great service!

Worst. Service. Ever.. My boyfriend and I went for the half off burger with a pint past nine deal. We walked in and the hostess greeted us nicely and asked for how many, we said two. She said "they would be seating shortly". We stood and surveyed the restaurant while we waited. There was no more than three tables occupied and two people at the bar. There were four servers in our line of vision, all standing at a station folding napkins or doing nothing at all. My boyfriend and I stood in the entrance waiting to be seated for ten or fifteen minutes, watching the servers standing there and talking. We even made eye contact with a few of them and they still stood there looking hopeless. Don't get me wrong, we are both in the restaurant industry and are familiar with serving tasks. This was just a case of awful service.

Terrible burgers. I went to bin4 on a recommendation and was very disappointed. The service was alright, kind of slow but it was busy. As far as the food, if your looking for a good traditional burger go somewhere else. If your wanting hipster crappy burgers this is the place to go. The fact that you have a choice of about a dozen different dipping sauces for the over cooked bottom of the basket fries that I got should have gave me a clue the rest if the meal would be as bad. The burgers themselves are way to complicated to understand. I ended up scraping the crap off the patty just so I could choke it down as I was hungry from waiting over an hour for the 2 burgers my wife and I ordered. I'll never go here again.

Best burger in town!. I love this place! Always excellent food and service! It's our family's favourite place to eat!!

A Great Burgers All Round. We have now eaten here a number of times and we make sure to eat here when friends visit. Great for lunch or dinner. Burgers with a twist and all good. The staff are engaging and helpful. We will continue to enjoy meals out here.

Now we don't have to go all the way in to Victoria for a great vegitarian burger.. And it's even a tofu burger which i usually hate. Somehow they make this "ginger soy tofu" burger amazingly tasty, and not too sweet like I would expect. But what really keeps us coming back are the heap of fries that comes with it and roasted garlic aioli. Yum!

Disappointed. We came with expectations: best burgers in Victoria. Well, we did not find what we were looking for.<br/>A host of pretty, long haired, long legged short skirted waitresses - but no way to get the attention of any of them. <br/>We had to order the decaf coffee three times before it finally arrived - after the meal, and for that we thought we had to wait too long - but then the coffee was bitter and stale and my wife left it on the table. <br/><br/>We had ordered the basic burger - I think they call it the "historic". Well - another disappointment. The meat was tasty, but way too dry without any fat. The trimmings were alright - but nothing to write home about. Salad and fries were o.K. <br/><br/>But those folks won't see us again.

I am neutral about this place. The food is good, fresh albeit bland. The wait staff was terrible and snooty! I would probably return I I had no other option, beside that I would pass this place up.

Decided to finally try the Langford location, annnnnnd..... It's not nearly as good as the DT one (in my own opinion!) my friend LOVED his thanksgiving burger, so obviously it was the burger or me being too picky! Anyway, I found the burger quite bland, even with cheese, mushrooms and bacon, and the bacon aioli was literally mayo with two bacon bits in it. Service was lovely though! So all in all, the first experience will be my last; and the downtown location will be the only and the best burger place on the island!

I have been to Bin 4 on three different occassions and have had 3 different burgers that were all recommended as the three best burgers on the menu. I have found that each burger has a strong taste at first but after a few bites becomes too powerful and overpowering. The service is GREAT though, and it makes me come back. Everytime i go they say the wait will be an hour, but the most ive ever waited is only twenty minutes! I have tried the aioli and the truffle but neither has really done it for me. I dont consider myself to be picky, but i expected a lot from this establishment and the food just hasnt been there.

Worth the trip. Was visiting family and friends in Victoria for 10 days, hit up this place twice - the first time wasn't enough! Went after 9pm both times to take advantage of the 1/2 price burgers, though honestly, everything we had is completely worth full price.<br/><br/>First night I had the Chicken of the Sea tuna burger and onion rings - can't say enough about how amazing it was. There was a TON of tuna, seared perfectly and the sauce was perfect. <br/><br/>Second night I had the Sweet Corn chicken burger and it was also delicious.<br/><br/>This place alone was worth the trip to Victoria and I have recommended it to MANY folks since. I will be back any time I find myself on the island.<br/><br/>Service was great, our server was friendly and helpful in making suggestions, even when the place was packed.

I had the Bison Burner and my husband had the August special which is the Hot Summer Night both on butter lettuce. They were both amazing and not too spicy. Perfect as usual!

Burgers. Recently we went to the Bin 4 in Langford hearing so much about it we decided to go and see for ourselves <br/>The restaurant itself was nice enough but the burger my husband had was awful. <br/>Dry as sticks <br/>when we mentioned this to the server we just got a vague apology and Oh must be not enough fat in the meat all the burgers are made fresh <br/>WHAT?? We got zip except for that. He ended up leaving at least half if not more. <br/>Well we can live without Bin 4 thank you <br/>We are in our 50s dine out a lot and welcome new businesses but not with off the cuff remarks from the server when she knew it was our first and now last time at Bin 4

Were seated quickly food was good but the service was not what we are used too in the usual places the waitress need to dress like they work in a restaurant a daisy chain in the hostesses hair... really was not a good first impression she spent alot of time looking at herself and prancing around our waitress seemed preoccupied.I get the table of six with drinks makes you more money but so does our visit!! We saw our waitress one bite into the food saw her again for water after my glass had been empty for a bit was not super busy yet took an unusual long time for our appy deep fried pickles as well as our burgers for not being busy I was disappointed in what took so long :( waited so long to go to this place.Noticed the owner only comments on these reviews when they are bad never the good ones :((

Worth it. Went to the Westshore Bin4 early on a Saturday night (5 pm). The place was already busy, and filled up shortly thereafter. This joint is always packed when I drive by so go midweek or before 6pm if you don't want to wait for a seat. <br/><br/>We sat outside and it was smoking hot for a mediocre day (24c). Dude across from us collapsed from heat stroke, but who knows what he was doing previous to the restaurant. *BIN4 Time to get some heat shades for the patio!*<br/><br/>Food was good. Burgers came on excellent buns with great toppings. The Onion relish was amazing, as was the salad and dressing. The burger itself was kind of blah. I had the Blue Cheese burger and it needed less blue cheese and more seasoning and some char. Prices were good. $48 to serve 3 adults, and the waitresses were beautiful!

Interesting Flavour Combinations. Went for the first time today with my daughter and grandson. Lunchtime. Full, busy, STINKY and HOT - air conditioning broken? The air smelled of hot grease. We ordered chicken, Bistro with a salad for me, Parmigiano with fries for my girl. Beautifully presented plates, lovely brioche type rolls, nice fresh crisp salad greens, really good crispy fries, and the burger combinations were really good, chicken grilled perfectly, sophisticated flavour accents (bacon aioli!) added a lot of flair to the meals. Great new "our bunch out for lunch" destination. Can't wait to go back and try something else.

Sloppy Joe Bin 18. The meat had no taste then it was topped with a breaded onion ring with hot no taste Sloppy Joe meat in the middle GROSS. The service was so poor that another customer had to call the server over as they had waited a long time also. The side of curry sauce was tasty however I would not go back just for the sauce. The patio is noisy & can not carry on a conversation.

What's so amazing about this place - seriously, I had the Black and Blue burger and it was a 6.3 at best. Suppose to have blue cheese and jalapeños in <br/> sauce but tasted more like Miracle Whip - no kick of blue or heat at all. But the bun was fresh... <br/>48 mins from the time we sat down to food on the table. Slow for a burger :-(

Not what was expected. A group of us went for lunch on Saturday and i was sorely disappointed, the patty itself had no taste to it. i should not have to put a bunch of sauces on it to have it taste good. l also wish they had told me that the fries came with pepper all over them,( some people don't eat pepper ). Music being loud is probably good at night for the lounge but in the middle of the day it makes it had to hold a conversation. but the biggest downer was you could not order any chicken dish cause they did not have any, they said the order did not come in but i don't think that was the whole story. probably will not be back.

Simply amazing. Have been to bin 4 in Langford many times. Love the food, love the service. I enjoy the freshness each time I come in. Thanks for finally opening a great restaurant in Langford. FANTASTIC !!!!!!

Impressive. So this was my first time at Bin 4. After a few lack luster meals at the other gourmet burger joint in town (Pink Bicycle) I didn't have super high expectations. Boy was I wrong. First off the Langford location is quite big with very friendly (and knowledgeable) staff. It was completely packed for lunch but we managed to get a seat. Between four of us we ordered: A heritage burger with mushrooms and a side house salad, a heritage burger with cheese and the blue cheese praline salad, Mr. Bean with a house salad and the Dirty Bourbon with 1/2 fries and 1/2 salad. They were all stellar. Juicy burgers, fresh amazing salads. The onion rings were incredible. I was really blown away. Two of us also shared a piece of carrot cake which was great as well. Can't wait to go back again.

Good enough. For a revisit. I was there with a very large group. Service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was trendy, decor was pleasant. I ordered a bean burger and salad. Salad was tasty but small, not a lot of extra veg on top of the lettuce, but tasty. Burger was good but did not blow my socks off (but does it need to, not sure!). I would eat here again.

First visit, first good impression. Greated and seated quickly by hostess. What we liked best was; being asked if we'd been here before by our server and then her detailed explaination of how the menu choices worked. Service and food timing was prompt, and excellent. Very reasonably priced, including beverages. Nice variety of local brew available. Clean, welcoming atmosphere. Well staffed, all of which were busy. We'll be back.

Finally A Great Burger Place in the Westshore. It's about time we get a GREAT burger place in the Westshore. This is more than just a Burger joint, this is a really nice restaurant with a great atmosphere, excellent service and FANTASTIC food. I went for the first time with my husband a few weeks ago (I have to admit I am picky when it comes to my burgers), we were taken right to a table by the bar, our server was great, she really knew the menu (bar and food), and recommended the deep fried pickles, they are strange, but ooohhh so good, she answered every question I had in regards to the MANY different burger varieties. I ordered the Pre-Season Favourite burger, with the onion rings (best ever) and my husband ordered the Black and Blue with fries. Both burgers were cooked to perfection and were delicious, I could not believe the quality of the food for the price. My burger was cheaper than a burger at any other pub in the Westshore and 100% better.<br/>I will DEFINATLY be back, actually after writing this review it reminded me how good it was and I am going back tonight.<br/>Also a note, if you go after 9:00 pm any night of the week it is 1/2 price on all burger entrees. Can't go wrong with that.

Horrible. Was very disappointed with bin 4 after friends had recommended. poor service, few gluten options, when ordering pick up. Order was wrong and had too wait extra 15 for order to be re made. In the mean time my wife's order sat and got very cold (tuna burger). I would like to know if you offer any specials in order to try your business again for a better impression!!?<br/><br/>thank you... ...

I like it. Been there several times and was happy with everything ordered with the exception of the Mr Bean. Personal taste. Just too mushy for me. All others I've had have been great. Fond of the bison!

Just Awesome!. Loved everything about the experience! The mini bowls of chips while waiting for the food is a great touch, and we were even given a second bowl when we had quickly finished off the first (we were starving)! The options all looked so delicious, and both the burgers we ended up ordering (one beef, one chicken) were EXCELLENT! Tried out the jalapeno aioli and the curry aioli and would recommend both. Really enjoyed this place!

Delicious burgers. Try the elk. With the wait. Try the take out. We have it at least once a week. And honestly well priced food for local and fresh ingredients.

Bin 4? Give me Bin MORE.. I LOVE Bin 4! Service is awesome, food is even better. I don't eat red meat, so unfortunately I'm limited to the chicken and veggie burgers, but WOW! The sauces, the buns, the tenderness of the meat... just gets me every time. Kindaaaaa bummed that they charge for side sauces though, they should be included in the price. After 9 deal isn't bad though, otherwise everything is a bit too pricey for me. But still, best onion rings and burgers in town. Bin 4? Bin MORE You're doin' it right with the flavor guys.

Hit the ground running. I went to the official opening night of Bin 4 on Saturday March 2nd and for an opening night the restaurant was running very well. No exceptionally long wait times for a table or for our food after our order was placed. Our server was just great, there's no other way to put it really. As for the food, I had the "Encore" burger which had Elk meat, , camembert cheese and a whole bunch of other amazing flavours. My girlfriend had the "Bacon Parmigiano" burger and after stealing a couple bites for myself I can honestly say it really is as good as it sounds. The best part of the whole experience? 3 words...Deep Fried Pickles. If you're a fan of pickles then you'll love these! Served with a malt vinegar aioli it makes it hard to want to share these things with anyone else at the table. I've since been back to this place the following Saturday and after ordering "The Angry Bull" burger I'm happy to say I'll definitely be a repeat customer once again.

One -Two Three -Four, I declare a thumb war! In this post, I challenged two local restaurants to see if they could meet my expectations of a good chicken lettuce wrap. Granted, the restaurants did not know they were in a competition and the challenger in this case, Pinks Pantry, had the unfair advantage of being the only vote, but its still a competition  nonetheless . 

Bin 4 has re-vamped the former fire station and most recently bank to create a modern vibrant restaurant. I've also heard that they have converted the former bank vault into their walk in fridge...
