Review Varsha Indian Kitchen - Victoria

I truly cannot say enough about how fabulous the staff and food is… I found Varsha earlier this year as I live above the MEC store and wanted to try somewhere new for food… Varsha did not disappoint. I’m a weekly visitor here at this establishment and I can honestly say it gets better every time. The staff are extremely lovely. Arshad is always accommodating and friendly every time I am there, the lovely waitresses work so very hard but always have a smile on their face, their food, well, that’s the icing on the cake. Delicious in every sense. I highly recommend Varsha, trust me on this one!!

We were there for dinner yesterday and food was really good. We ordered veg pakora, dal tadaka, kadahi paneer - recommended by them and malai kofta. Everything was great taste and food quality and rice included with it. We also ordered rotis and it could be better but I was happy to eat great Indian food in Victoria.

Me and my partner's go to choice for Indian food. We usually order on Sundays and get the Chef's Choice Platter for $5 off and the portions are amazing - enough for us both and lunch the next day. Flavours are authentic and never disappoint - they are ALWAYS consistent. Their palak paneer is incredible and love their samosas - perfectly fried every time! The staff are also friendly and accommodating. We love Varsha!

So, let me tell you about the amazing customer service I experienced at this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me with big smiles and made me feel incredibly welcome. They were always ready to answer any questions I had and provided great recommendations from the menu. The service was prompt and efficient, but they never made me feel rushed. Overall, the customer service at this restaurant was top-notch and really made my visit memorable. I highly recommend checking it out! Specially a big thanks to staff

Canadian Indian fusion? This was soooo delicious! I got the tiger poutine which had regular fries and yam fries, butter chicken, and cheese. The chicken was so good- sometimes certain meat grosses me out but not here- you could tell it was excellent quality and prepared perfectly. There was so much flavor and it was a large portion. My partner got the malai kofta and it was so rich and wonderful as well. We also got garlic naan. A lot of places burn the naan. But thankfully this naan was not burnt, it was perfect. Great service as well. The establishment was very cute and well decorated. Excellent atmosphere. Right at the start of fan tan alley.

3 stars for food as I didn’t quite like the dal tadka, coconut rice and Kale potato curry. Samosas were good as expected. Naan is soft and well cooked. Service is great. Spacious place too.

Food was excellent, portions were a little smaller than typical, but pricing was good. Ordered 4 dishes and an extra naan for 3 people, and there was plenty. Flavours were excellent, could have been a bit more meat in the sauces. My favourite was the spicy lamb curry, it was actually spicy.

Visited the place few days back with my friends. I must say this is simply amazing... right from the staff to the taste of food and drinks. Biryani, chicken, kofta.... all were mouth watering delicious. Surely coming back.

This is the second Indian restaurant I've tried, as the first one was a real disappointment... I ordered this time through a DoorDash (I have no idea what the ambiance is like inside). I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors and quantities! What we particularly liked : -The fish pakora (there were around ten pieces in my box while the image only showed three or four pieces. They were delicious so a great surprise to discover so many!) -The goan coconut curry with fish was killer too 😋 -The plain Naan was good -And the Butter chicken, one of the best I've eaten! What we liked less : -The coconut naan (It's a naan stuffed with a (too) thick layer of coconut shavings -The coconut rice really disappointed us because it was simply mixed rice with coconut shavings and not made with real coconut milk. -Unfortunately, the House salad that I had as an accompaniment to the Butter chicken was not at all the same recipe as the House salad which is displayed on the menu. I didn't like the one that was given to me. On the other hand, I would have liked to taste the one with the mangoes on the menu, you shouldn't call, it's the salad of the same name if they are different! Conclusion : I really enjoyed my meal and it is a restaurant that I recommend. 😊 I would recommend again for sure. There has lots of things that I haven't tasted and that make me want it. Enjoy 😉

I can not attest to how authentic the food is as I am not indian, but it was pretty yummy to me. The braised lamb curry was super tender and I don't eat super spicy, they were very accomadating with making the curry mild for me and it tasted just right. Although I've had better naan bread elsewehre, the ones here were not bad. The resturant is very spacious and the service was decent, I would not mind coming back here again.

Nice restaurant, good foods, and beers. 🍺 I took a Masala fish and chips in a Indians restaurant, a little bit strange... but the Nan kabab wasn't available for dîner. 😞 I thought it would be a bit different from regular fish and chips. Maybe the spices... but I ate it all.😋

We had checked in this afternoon for lunch in Varsha Indian kitchen Victoria island the food was amazing but felt if they had added more meat pieces that would be great but the taste was fantastic and the waitress over was nice and suggested the items to try she is a professional.. if anyone wants to have mild flavours I would recommend to go with spicy then the taste would be apt as mild that was my thought overall great food and had an amazing time and nice ambiance..🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 I would recommend this as to go place in Victoria BC😉😉😉

First time visit, food was good considering the fusion concept. Decent portion size for the prices that we paid. Lacking a bit in service. They messed up one of our orders, and when pointed out they did offer to redo it, however since we did not want to let the food go waste, we politely declined. You would think, the least they could do is give that entree free or at least give a discount on it, so as not to waste the time and effort in making the order again, this is where the service was lacking. Also, 2 of the beers were not available, and nothing on tap, how do you explain that? Second visit (after about 3 months of initial): Food was good and came out in time. But the Masala fries were not very different than the regular fries. Service was good, and on time. I understand the fusion concept, but you never put Coconut flakes in a Mango Lassi, they just don't go well with each other, instead consider Almond flakes please.

I've walked by this restaurant countless times and it always looks busy, we finally stopped in to try it and I'm so glad we did! It's a nice spot with good music + menu. Servers were great, didn't have to wait long and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back again!
