I had a wonderful experience at this bustling cafe located in the heart of Victoria's Chinatown! Despite always being busy, they have the option to sit outside, which allowed me to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the crowd passing by.
The coffee they serve is quite good, providing a satisfying pick-me-up during my visit. As for the sweets, they were pleasant but fell somewhere in the middle in terms of excitement. However, the overall experience was elevated by the lively vibe of people coming and going, creating a dynamic and enjoyable environment.
The sight of locals and tourists mingling, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, and the sounds of chatter and laughter all contributed to a sense of warmth and community. It's the perfect spot to people-watch, immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere, and soak in the charm of Victoria's Chinatown.
If you're looking for a place to savor a good cup of coffee, relax amidst a vibrant crowd, and experience the charm of this historic neighborhood, I highly recommend this cafe. It's a delightful spot to unwind and feel a part of the city's lively pulse. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!y

We traveled from our small town of Lake Louise and this was our go to stop while visiting victoria! great coffee, the interior lay out and design was beautiful! staff were always friendly, my favourite staff member was the pup sitting by the door. i never knew how much i would love being greeted by a little tongue poking out. would definitely re visit if we ever head back to victoria!

Such a quaint coffee house, nestled in the middle of Chinatown. They serve two versions of a London Fog, the standard way and then their own special version, which is what I had. Delicious. They will also serve in ceramic mugs on request.

This was one of the few places open before 8 am and I was SO pleased with the experience. All of the staff was friendly and helpful, the ambiance is perfect for reading the morning paper, homework, or a chat with friends. I got an oat latte (incredible!) as well as the spinach + feta croissant and the lemon + raspberry muffin. Though both were amazing, don't make out on the lemon raspberry muffin! Highly recommend.

It was our first time at Bean Around the World coffee shop in Victoria and we really enjoyed it! It’s a cosy and cute spot. The decor was beautifully done. In my opinion, it is unique. Great coffee and delicious baked goods. You can tell they’re all made with love. We got a croissant and a pumpkin muffin. The pumpkin muffin was my favourite; excellent flavours and super tasty! Additionally, I ordered a London fog and it was delightful. The staff is friendly, nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for some fantastic coffee and baked goods that’ll start your day right! 💯 We shall return 😊 Thank you!

One of the top doppio espresso’s in Victoria that holds relatively true to the classic ‘Italian sweet’; I prefer a 35↔️39second pull which gives the shot optimal heat, aroma, crema 🙈😋…great spot to meet-up & chat, ‘disappear’ in the noise to write that book, talk ideas, people watch, etc. With a license plate wall, map of coffee trade routes, art from local 👩🎨 artists, and eclectic mix of hanging decor, Bean Around the World coffee shop in Victoria Chinatown stands unique from many other coffee shops I’ve visited.

Bean Around The World has a very dedicated and loyal group of regulars that will settle for nothing less than amazing coffee and the only place they can get it is Bean Around The World! Just when I was in today talking about how I am going to write a review for "Bean" the lady behind me said 5 and a half stars! All the staff are super nice (don't believe me? They posed for my review picture and laughed the entire time!) and always make sure you're taken care of. They have a wide list of drinks (made to perfection everytime) and a number of house made sandwiches which are also amazing (I recommend the tuna Diablo). When you eat in they have a great atmosphere and lots of seating. If I ever need a coffee or tea there's only one option for me and it's Bean Around The World 🌎!

We have been buying their Black Dragon organic beans since 2008. Amazing vibe and some of the most hard working staff I have seen in Victoria. Tuna diablo panini is a nice treat.

The espresso has a delicious, smokey, rich full bodied flavour.
Loved it.

I loved everything about this place. My mocha was absolutely perfect - the best I’ve had in a very long time. I also had a raspberry lemon muffin, and it was full of flavour - every bit as good as what I might bake (and because I’m a baker I’m extremely picky about commercial baked goods). The staff was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable. 10/10 would recommend.

I love coffee! So we were searching for the best coffee in Victoria. Bean Around The World showed up in our Google search and we were intrigued. We made our way there and it is nondescript just off downtown in Victoria.
Here is the thing.
There is not another coffee shop in Victoria that produces an Americano with crema like Bean Around The World.
Not one.
And it was delicious.

Quaint little coffee shop in the Chinatown area, they've got delicious coffee and desserts (some vegan too!), there's some seating at the back of the shop. Really cool vibe and decorations. Outdoor seating throughout the year is available as well, on the street patio. They close at 3 pm daily.

I am forced to write the review because the coffee was too good. I ordered mocha coffee and guess what? The coffee had perfect balance of all the subtle flavors, all detectable but none overpowering anything. To top it all the coffee came with a beautiful design a first for me.

Been going to this location since the 90s.
Maybe because of the Chinatown location , but I find this particular Bean is easily my favorite.

Looking forward to my carrot cake. The many bags of beans suggest a good cup of coffee is pending.
Post consumption update: cake and coffee were excellent! Will return for sure!
