Absolutely amazing.....from the wonderful manager ...to the great waitress! And let’s not forget the Chef....Then came the meal...then came the dessert.....could not recommend this establishment more...incredibly well done. Those of us from Alberta and Ontario....commend you
The 7 course tasting menu was diverse and each course was fit for a meal unto itself, with near perfect wine pairings. This place is a jewel. The service was attentive and informative. We’ll be back!
Best restaurant in town with out a doubt, and certainly one of the best in Canada. Innovative and unique food creations with a organic an sensible / sustainable food choice.
Fantastic food, amazing coffee, and great service! It's definitely going to be my new go-to place for brunch!
This is a little gem of a restaurant. Their brunch is a small but very delishes menu of goodies. One of my favorate places!! cheers
They even make their own Clamato juice for the outstanding Caesars they serve. Has become one of our favourite places to eat lunch at. Friendly staff, great service and tasty food. Don't forget to buy some fresh bread at Fol Epi on your way out.
I love coming here with friends and trying out different dishes. I also love coming for Sunday brunches, whether by myself or with others. The food is always amazing: flavour profile, combinations, and presentation; the staff friendly and knowledgeable, and a really fun atmosphere. Agrius is my go to.
Food is amazing! I had the smoked tuna salad.. amazing! The grill cheese is the best! You have to try the macaroons.
Great place if you are in Victory go, food is perfect staff excellent
Wowzer!! Want creative delicious beautiful eats and bevvies?? Agrius is top notch, hard act to follow!! Every thing from atmosphere, food, servers especially a fine handsome dude named brooke!! Can't say enough agrius! Thank you for an unforgettable and unique and fresh experience!! Will definitely be back!!!
Most excellent! Max is the man! Their menu is forever changing and is full of creativity.
The service has been amazing with the whole team going through the wines and wineries to tell us the whole story. I love the passion from beginning to end. My new favourite restaurant in Victoria
Love their brunch!! Also great selection of drinks and good ambiance!
I love the food and atmosphere and the arrangement of the food . 2 thumbs up
Second time visit, first time was to try their bakery about 7-8 months ago.
The food is good, cocktails are also good.
But the portion size is small, so you have to order at least 5 items if you are sharing between 3 people.
The best part is organic food so I guess the pricing could be justified, but not for the portion size.
Service was great, and very attentive for all tables including ours.
Upscale small bites/pizza. Great selection and it was all well assembled, prepared and presented. A must for pizza fans, and our small plates were well portioned and all offered well contrasted flavors. Ask your wait staff for advice, we did and had a great meal. Well worth a visit.
Very fresh and flavourful food but maybe it's because we ordered too much cured meats, the pepperoni pizza was too salty for me by the time it came at the end. Nonetheless I would try them again next time I'm in town. The service was excellent, prompt and attentive but not in a hovering way. Good value overall too compared to similar restaurants in Vancouver.
The vibes of this place are phenomenal - in the morning it smells exactly like the bakeries I visited in Paris as a teenager, and the lighting is so soft and warm and inviting. Loved all the plants and the decor. Shout out to the whistling chef in the back, too - it added a nice touch to the morning atmosphere :) I would gladly spend a quiet weekend morning reading here with coffee and pastries.
That being said, everything's fairly expensive, and I didn't find what we ate particularly notable for its price. The espresso was $4.50 but wasn't particularly rich and smooth - pretty bitter actually. The quiche tasted alright but was the texture of pudding, which was a little off-putting. The pastries (we got a pain au chocolat and a raspberry danish) were very tasty though - soft, buttery, and flaky. And although we didn't try them, the pre-made sandwiches they have for lunches look tasty and like a great size for a lunch.
Also, not a common thing to note, but I actually really liked their bathroom arrangement. Three private unisex stalls rooms each with fully closing doors, one of them with its own sink + changing table for babies, and then there was a second communal sink in the area outside the stalls which I really liked for being able to quickly wash your hands before eating.
Took my parents out for their anniversary, and it was the best decision.
- unique atmosphere, soft lighting and not too much ambient noise
- extremely fresh ingredients prepared into harmonious dishes
- friendly staff, had to wait a little until our drinks however. Could’ve been just a shift change.
- beautiful presentation and dishware.
Overall 10/10 experience. Would definitely visit again to try new menus.
One of the best meals I've had all year - one that I am still thinking about now a week after our trip. We were there for a special occasion and the whole experience was wonderful from the food to the exciting wine list to the personable service. The food was so good I wish I could have it more often - the porchetta di testa melting from the residual heat of the spaghetti and the pork chop was perfection - juicy, flavourful but with a nice caramelized crust. Also don't sleep on the pizza as they are know for their wood fired oven and doughs.
I actually did not know they were a living wage restaurant (ie gratuities are optional) so was surprised when we got the bill. They definitely deserve to have a full house every night, which is why I'm writing this review (🤞 I can still get a reservation next time)!
The food is fresh and delicious! The specialize in the farm to table style. Freshly baked bread is a nice treat. We had tasting menu and wine pairing and I would definitely recommend it
Agrius is one of the very best high-end restaurants in Victoria. It is innovative, contemporary, and exceptionally good at bringing fresh, seasonal and local foods from farm to table. The service is a step above, as well, and staff are highly knowledgeable about the dishes, wines and original cocktails. Each meal in a given season is necessarily different because the chefs are continuously experimenting in creative ways. Our most recent meal there was just slightly disappointing, with oysters tasting less than perfectly fresh and deep-fried bear tooth mushrooms lacking subtlety or character. "Skin contact" white wine was astringent and tasted flat. The ling cod, however, was excellent, as were bespoke cocktails like hippie juice. Overall, still an outstanding dining option in Victoria.
Really cute restaurant and the staff were super friendly. The meats for charcuterie were all smoked in house and the veggies were all seasonal and farm to table. The kombucha was home made and was delicious!
How can I pick one favourite pizza here?!? Jasmine has curated an exciting wine list that rivals the city's best in its low intervention/natural wine features. Pizza and wine here truly does equal divine. Get three and bring a slice of each home.
Amazing food, and designer drinks. Came in off the street and gave it a try. The best place so far i have ever eaten at. Had the 28 dey aged pork chop. Tender and the sauce had so much flavor. A must!! Go, why even hesitate? You will thank me later.
My boyfriend treated me to this lovely place on my birthday. Definitely was on top of our local dining bucket list and glad to have it finally crossed off. The place is packed and I see why. Wonderful service; I like our witty server off the bat (he reminds me of a young John de Lancie from the Star Trek: TNG days). The food is delicious but the home run is the 🐷 🍝. My boyfriend had the Ling cod but it was so delicious that the sauce he had left over I sopped it with 🍞 to ensure not one drop was wasted.
Definite need to come back here in the future with friends. The level of service and tastiness is comparable to the fine dining restaurants in Yaletown and West End but at a more reasonable cost. Victorians need to try out this hidden gem if they haven't yet.
The food here is absolutely incredible! I was here with two others and we shared half the appetizer menu and loved everything we tried. All of our mains were perfection, and the blueberry cheesecake and ice wine topped the night off perfectly.
The staff are very attentive and have a sense of humour. You can also see into the kitchen from most tables in the restaurant and watch how the chefs prepare the food which is also neat to see.
Cannot wait to come back!
inviting and warm atmosphere, very friendly servers
sidestripe shrimp was delicious, highly recommend the duck with xo sauce
feeling full after sharing two sides, a main dish and a dessert
definitely come here for brunch if you can!
We had the octopus for a stater and shared the Charcuterie board for a main. Both were excellent!
The food was paired with Great service and local wine.
Deliberate dishes that compliment each other in flavours and delight your tastebuds. A beautiful meal. Highly recommend.
Wood fire pizzas are fantastic! Perfect portions to share and try different flavours. Featured in the photo are the Not Quite Hawaiian (top) and Sausage (bottom) pizzas.
Sublime dining experience, probably made all the more memorable by Josh the bartender: he’s a genuine artist who is so apparently in love with what he does - this is proper and professional caliber bar tending artistry. (See video)
The kitchen is prompt and well run, our appetizers and mains came out fresh and hot, and wine service was attentive with a great recommendation to pair with the meal.
Josh however made the evening memorable with the cocktails and all the showmanship leading up to the final pour
