Got the lumberjack breakfast. The picture kinda messes the scale of how big the pancakes are, despite the size, they are fluffy and perfectly cooked. The sausages have a great flavour and the potatoes are crispy but soft. I always make a stop here when I'm in town. Can't go wrong.

There was a bit of a line when we got there but it moved pretty quickly. Once we sat down we got service right away. We waited about 20 minutes for our food once we ordered. I definitely expected to wait for the food for a bit they were very busy. If you go here please don't expect super quick service again it's a really busy place. I ordered Chicken N Waffles. They were SOOO good & the potatoes that came with them were cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend Floyd's Diner but please bring your patience.

This place is fantastic! Stopped here for a fantastic, well sized and appropriately priced breakfast. They were able to customise the entire menu to be suitable for gluten free, and our waiter Eric was awesome. I had the 420 Benny and it was great. Cheers! 🍳

Great place! Didn't have to wait at all, the only thing I'll say it's the food takes a little too long so had like 3 coffee's before breakfast but other than that food is amazing, service is great (maybe even a bit too much), just personal preference. Definitely recommend it 👌

We came here at 8:30am and got a table right away. The diner got busy just before 9am, and there was a wait outside after. Their Herb Hudson Chicken Waffle Benny is one of the best chicken and waffles we’ve ever had. The service is quick and friendly, and the food portions are huge. Definitely recommend coming here!

Right up there with the best breakfast I’ve ever had! The food was amazing, and the staff were so personable. We came for breakfast two days in a row, and wish we could have tried the whole menu.

The food is really good, come prepared to wait outside for a table during peak weekend hours. They did bring out coffee while you waited. The staff are fun and help create a great atmosphere.

Cozy place to dine. A great service. The location is amazing because it is close to the main tourist attraction and you still great some free parking on the street.

I normally avoid lines, but I was already in the area and hungry. We arrived around 10:30am on a Sunday and the line was 45 minutes long. As someone who can't stand lines, the wait was totally worth it. I'm so glad we waited, because the brunch we had was just fantastic. Also the best bloody mary (they called it a Cesar?) I've had perhaps in my life. Super friendly service too and they even brought the people waiting in line coffee.

Visited a while back in the Summer. For the uninitiated this is not a quick grab some breakfast and run type of place. It is fair to say it is the exact opposite of that. Line-up outside was about 20 minutes but it was a warm sunny day and so nothing really to complain about. A couple of times a staff member came out and offered those in line some coffee while they waited which was a very nice gesture that I have not experienced elsewhere. Once inside it was very busy and crowded but not to the extent that you would feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable. But the negative of that of course was that service was a bit on the slow side and even slower when it came to receiving the food you ordered (about 20-30 minutes). But if you are not in a rush you can just sit back and enjoy the overall experience - there is plenty of interesting decor, some really good humour on the menus, and good assortment of patrons that made for some entertaining people-watching. If all else fails you can talk to those who came with you to eat! Because this was a weekend in the middle of the Summer visit I assume that in off peak times the wait will be far shorter. But an extra Summertime bonus is that right next door, on a Saturday morning I believe, is the outdoor James Bay market geared to serve the locals that is well worth visiting. All this of course is geared to those in no particular hurry. The restaurant is located a few minutes pleasant walk away from all the downtown tourist attractions or if you arrive by car there is plenty of street parking in the neighbourhood. I realize I have not yet mentioned the food, which I guess is kind of odd for a restaurant review. That is because thinking back to a couple of months ago, it is the overall experience that made visiting there so enjoyable. The food was certainly very good, portions were large, and there were all sorts of breakfasts to choose between, far more than I have seen at any other breakfast place. There was not a lot of contact with the service staff because they were very busy running back and fore between tables. Nevertheless they were welcoming and friendly and helpful and were working darned hard for their money. The biggest compliment I can give is that this will he my go to breakfast place when visiting Victoria in the future.
