Review White Spot Vernon - Vernon

I gave this restaurant 4 stars but the food gets 5 stars. it a clean well kept restaurant, staff were pleasant and inviting. I would say my eggs benny was the best I have ever had and I eat Eggs Benny everywhere. My biggest issue these days for most places is the lack of staff. Our waiting staff were clearly run off their feet and did their best to provide good service but when you have more tables then you can handle some things get missed (had to ask for coffee, did not get offered more smashed potatoes as those were bottomless). For a more upscale restaurant I expect more attention. Again not the wait staffs fault clearly they were short staffed and did a fantastic job given their circumstance.

Super friendly service. Burgers and fish 'n chips were all good. Our kids have their favourites here and always know what to order. Restaurant could have been a little cooler as it was a warm day outside.

Honestly probably the best dining experience I have had in a very long time. Our waitress was absolutely amazing. Friendly upbeat and and a solid rock with several tables all needing attention. She was efficient and patient. Drinks were never empty and food came at a great rate. I had the chicken coconut curry. I think it should be called a taste of heaven. It's fantastic. My daughter was entertained with the activity book provided and all staff were great with her. It's a fun place with fabulous food.

Haven't seen a White Spot in Calgary in ages. Was nice, clean and fairly quiet. Our server Sharon was awesome, and the food did not disappoint. Had the fish and chips, and I haven't had them as good as this since I was able to go to the UK. We will try and go again before we head home.

Me and my mom stopped in to grab a quick after work meal, we let the server know we were in a rush. Although they were short staffed in the kitchen they made it happen in perfect timing for us to go to our next stop. Tremendous work from the kitchen to make us great food and lovely servers to bring an overall great experience 🙏

Ordered two meals, one of the meals had a gluten free bun ordered with it. As it was an allergy it was lucky that I could see the difference, as the person that brought it out was not our server she had no clue it was the wrong bun. The other meal was a breakfast order that had the eggs a different style then ordered and missing an item. Both meals had to be remade. There was no discount offered and we were given the full bill.

First and foremost, service was amazing and food was delicious! Food was kinda pricey but it had quality. Their chocolate milk was $4.49… yea that’s a lot…. Same with a cheese slice, it was a extra $2, and it was processed. Still good food.

I took my mom here for "Mother's Day" and despite the lengthy wait, my mom and I were able to pass the time by talking and the waitress was very caring even if it meant telling us that our wait was going to be a tad bit longer. Overall I enjoyed the food and thanks to what I think was the "Manager" who gave my mom a flower to make her day feel extra bright, thank you very much!

Have eaten there a few times when visiting back in Vernon over the past few years.  Pros - The food tasted good and always looked and smelled fresh.  The front service staff were good and greeted us in fairly promptly.  All the times I was there the restaurant looked clean and organized.  Cons - The portions are small and overpriced for what you get and would often leave the restaurant hungry.  Wasn't always attended as much as I should have been by the wait staff.  Also, the food took about 25 min to get to my mom and I when we ate there a while back which is too long. The place wasn't that busy at the time either.  Also, one time I ate there, the fries and gravy were stone cold.  I'm sorry but serving cold food that is normally hot is a big no no.   2.5 stars out of 5 is what I'd give it. Average at best.

Keep in mind my family has been eating at White Spot (albeit not this location) since I was a child, so this is serious comfort food for me. In fact, this is the first restaurant I've chosen to go to since I moved back to BC from Saskatchewan less than a week ago. From the reviews, I was prepared for it to be less than stellar and perhaps not the way I remembered it. But it was actually absolutely fantastic. The service was good and fast and the food was heavenly. I enjoyed every single bite. I remember that when I lived in BC before and used to eat at White Spot, some menu items were rather mediocre, but I was pleased to see that my favourites were still on the menu and I have always found that I can never go wrong with them. So what I had today was a BC Chicken Burger, Zoo Sticks (instead of fries), extra dip for the Zoo Sticks, and then my husband and I shared a piece of The Ultimate Chocolate Cake for dessert. Everything was as good as I remembered. The breading fell off most of the Zoo Sticks as I ate them but I didn't even care, they tasted so good. And the cake, in particular, is to die for. There were times I craved this cake when I was living in Regina but due to the lack of White Spot locations in Saskatchewan I was unable to fulfill the craving. The serving of cake is too big to eat by yourself but is perfect for sharing. If you are going to share though, I recommend asking for an extra scoop of ice cream with it! My only criticism of the restaurant is that the decor in this location could seriously use an update. But other than that, awesomeness!

Went there with my daughter a while ago and her Mex. salsa sauce came in a paper cup was a whopping 1 ounce size like at A&W,. And to make it worse it was actually fermenting and bubbling away believe it or not. I had no idea that White Spots could be so sloppy. Not much need to mention that we never went back, but apparently I just did so. Piss poor quality control.

Great stop between Kelowna and Kamloops. The usual White Spot menu, and the restaurant is right beside 97 with parking in the shopping center lot. I enjoy White Spot.

Food was good, not very hot, server was good, but food took a long time, very long...<br/>If they were faster, and food was hotter, they would have gotten a five rating......<br/>Blueberry pie was amazing, we had hot turkey sandwich, and legendary burger.....

Wasn't good and wasn't really bad; service was interesting, not the greatest. Not sure if it's just a Vernon type of experience but wouldn't cut it in a larger city. <br/><br/>Burger was undercooked and the server forgot a few items ordered, we had to ask. Food tastes okay but the service wasn't great.

Garbage. First of all the server yelled at us "I will be there in a minuet!" After 5min she came back and just stood at the table and stared at us for at least 30 seconds before I said "I will have a coke I guess?......." <br/>After looking through the menus for about 20min she came back and took our order in a rude and rushed manner (no excuse at 2:30-3pm) when she brought our food to the table I looked at it (like a normal human being) and she stood there for a few second befor yelling "did I do something wrong?!!" I don't underst what her problem was but there was something definitely wrong.<br/>Our food: my burger was under cooked greasy with a soggy bun. Fries were soggy. The burger tasted like nothing and made me feel nauseous. <br/>Over all experience= thoroughly disgusted, so upset and annoyed that I contemplated throwing my food on the ground and stomping on it (probably would have made it taste better?) <br/>Will never go back!!

Greeted by a man who has no personality. Seated us like a robot. Waited over 45 minutes for our food... Waitress kept coming back to fill our waters and when I asked how much longer we have to wait... She didn't know, We were just about ready to leave when the robot came with our and snarled at us when I told him that we were just about to leave. He gave us an earful about too many people ordering the chicken pickings! No apology from him that our chicken was nearly burned. Never again. Since moving here we have never been happy with the service or the food here.

WhoA...are we understaffed ? I called for take out phone rings til it disconnects me, so i drive there, waitress sees me standing there, doesn't approach me. Ten minutes later, the manager finally approaches me and someone else behind me and helps us. I know they're busy but come on..............on the plus side, food was good. White spot in Burnaby, much better service.

Having breakfast with my kids I went by. The waitress was a total ditz, the food sucked. My children had fruit salad and the was fruit moldy. Wont come here for breakfast EVER again!!!

Always consistent with quality of food and a good choice for families. Good menu selection to please almost everyone.

Not a fan. It was fish and chips from White Spot - I shouldn't have expected much the fish was weird and my fries were soggy. The server was kind though.
