Review The Kal - Vernon

We heard the Kal had great food so we thought we would give it a try and it did not disappoint. We arrive around lunch time and the place was packed. All the food we saw being consumed at the other tables looked really good. Our waitress was great, friendly, attentive and efficient. We thought we would try the pizza as so far have not found a good one in Vernon. It was the house special minus the beef and it was delicious the large was huge for two people and reasonably price. We could only eat two pieces each as each slice loaded with toppings and a good amount of cheese. Best pizza so far we have had in Vernon and they do take out so definitely will be out place to Oder from in the future. They recently added a family section and offer a great kids menu. The Kal is a popular downtown pub and I can see why. Great atmosphere, staff, top notch cook, tasty food and good prices so give it a try.

It's my first at the kal in a couple of years. I was very pleasantly surprised given their frequent closures. We went there for dinner. Their nachos and pizza are very underrated. My girlfriend and I shared a small pizza and regular nachos after a day at the beach. It really hit the spot and was more than enough food for two hungry people. The Kal's kitchen in general is very underrated. They have hand sanitizer on every table and qr codes on every table for the menu. Our only suggestion is to list the prices for everything and list non-alcoholic drinks. This bar is usually the core of Vernon nightlife for folks in their early 20s. Darts, ufc, deer game, etc. The only time it gets a bit much is if they have a band as it gets impossible to talk inside since the venue is a bit small for a band. Overall, an excellent sports bar in Vernon. Staff was friendly too and let us move tables on the patio!

Cheap and good. Great selection of beers on tap, always have a few nice IPAs and Sours. Good service, friendly staff that are still effective when it's busy. Food is pretty decent as well. Not really anything bad to say about this place.

The staff are friendly, there is a good variety of beers including some craft beer and other drinks. Their food is pretty consistently good. It is a big space and can get loud. It's popular for lunch as well as dinner. Overall a well rounded location.

Best Pub in Town , fresh and delicious food. 99 wings sauces , you won't believe it !! Nachos are one of my favorite appetizers with real Mexican guacamole , you cant miss it. Service really warm and friendly . I feel just like home ❣️❣️😊😊

ONLY 8 wings on regular night?!! I ordered a POUND of wings on a regular night and was shocked to see only 8 wings sitting on my plate when it arrived. I mentioned this to the waitress and she said they serve 10 wings on wing night, and only 8 on regular night. Wait a minute.... I am paying full price and I get less wings? That makes no sense!!!! 8 wings is like a snack, normally you get 10-12 wings. I wasn't getting anywhere with my complaint, so I ordered a couple side tacos to compliment this so that I didn't walk out hungry. If I knew I was only going to get 8 wings for $15.99 then I would have ordered something else. This is FLAT OUT false advertising. In fact, you don't see a price anywhere for their wing prices and I guess the "pound" of wings is assumed because that is what everyone else does. Other than the huge disappointment with not getting the full pound of wings that I paid for, I would have given 4.5 stars as the food was great, and our server was great (except I think she should warn you about how few wings you get) PLEASE change your menu to say 8 wings. Don't lie to your patrons on your menu. It can really put a sour tone on the evening.

Amazing wings, fantastic drinks. Other food has been underwhelming thus far. Steak sandwich was bland and boring. Pizzas are outrageously priced at $24 for a 10cm up to $29 for a 14cm. In short? Go for the wings and beer, pass on the rest.
