Review Boa-thong Thai Restaurant - Vernon

I haven't been here in years but my partner and I decided to try it again. Really delicious, varied and piping hot Thai specialties came out of the kitchen promptly. Great flavors and all of the curries were very different. We loved the Lemon Grass Chicken! Our favourite. We talked to the chef- he is Thai. We chatted and talked with the excellent waiter about out trips to Thailand. -Great service. -Great food. -Great value.

I love coming here, the ambience is incredible. Boa-Thong is like stepping outside of Vernon and into a new place. The Staff are usually wonderful to say the least and always have a smile. I love any dish they have with Peanut sauce. The meals are more than enough for one person, so you're not left wanting more.

My favourite restaurant in all of Vernon. I like to support local as much as possible and the owners are the sweetest and the food is always delicious. My only complaint is that I don’t get to eat here as often as I would like living in lumby. Hands down the best food in town!

Amazing food and amazing waiter. Although I am not Thai, but the thai food here was definitely some of the more authentic ones. The waiter who severed us was also very fun to talk to. We arrived a bit late and they were still happy to extend the hours for us.

Food was fairly bland and 'ok' at best and the delivery charge quite high. Portions were small. I'm sure it is tough running a restaurant with costs these days, but the quality has to be better. Maybe dine in is better? Just order Indian for delivery...

Excellent service. Great food. First time I dined here was around 12 years ago. Still the same great food and service through the years. The decor is a bit a bit dated but adds to the charm. Not bad for authentic Thai in Vernon.

Worst experience ever! There was a loogie on the window that had 10 dead fruit flies in it. Should've left at that moment. The service was horrible even with 1 other customer there. The food seemed like it was reheated and not very good. The restaurant smelled like mold. I came to celebrate at what I thought was a nice place and was completely disappointed

Always very delicious & quick service. Didn’t get any photos of the food as I was too busy stuffing my face. Everything on the menu is amazing, the portions are decent sized, I always have enough to take home for leftovers. My favourite local place to grab Thai food!

I really don't like rating a restaurant this low. Especially when I know that this is a person's livelihood. However Boa-Thong was an unfortunate let down for me.<br/><br/>This is a place that I've walked past countless times to and from work, but the signage and facade looked so old and run down that it fell far on my to eat list. Today however I gave it a shot. It's a unique venue in that it's the only restaurant in Vernon (correct me if I'm wrong) that' s on the second floor, which gives a nice view of the street below.  However much like the outside, the inside is very dated, though clean. <br/><br/>For lunch I had the Pad Thai. When I go for Thai food, I expect explosions of amazing flavour. This dish however had none. The star of the dish was in fact the shrimp, and that's just because they tasted like shrimp. The rest of the dish was so lacking in flavour that I can't even describe what it tasted like. In eating the last bit on the plate, I heard echos of childhood, "Now finish your lunch or there won't be any desert!" (I did not stay for desert)<br/><br/>I would be remiss however if I did not mention the brightest star in this night sky though. The service was very prompt, courteous, and always ensured I was looked after. In summary they have wonderful people working there, but I do wish they would upgrade their unique venue and make it into something spectacular, and also not be afraid to cook with some bolder flavours and recipes.

No Good. Ordered a black bean sauce stirfry with prawns: all vegetables were raw (not anywhere near al dente), sauce was very thin and tasted like it was made from a powder where you just add water, black beans appeared to be dehydrated, prawns were badly freezer burned. Interior of restaurant is dingy, looks dirty. Friendly service though.

BEST SERVICE EVER. I came here with my best friend and we ordered a pad thai each. The food tasted delicious. the service was excellent. and the one server (tia) was really helpful. The decor was tacky though.

Tasty but dingy. This place has good curries and salads. Couldve been spicier for me, slightly bland but the interior needs revamping. Threadbare carpet and very dark interior. Its too bad because it has great potential.

My girlfriend and I attended this restaurant and the food was fabulous. We ordered a noodle dish (46) and a Muslim curry (34). Both were incrediblely delicious. We have been to countless thai restaurants across the province, this is easily top 3. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Just ask for a little less sauce in the pad Thai. Service was good... We had a boy from Thailand helping us. He was really friendly. I would go here again for sure.

Boa Thong. I used to live in Thailand, so I know good thai food. This place was fairly ok. Nice a spicy, but a little to salty. A fresh approach on the decor would be nice but other than that it was O.K I did hear rumors that the Siam orchid was looking at a new location in Vernon, would be greatly welcomed, best thai in the Okanagan.
