Review Temptasian Restaurant - Vernon

Al Noakes
My wife and I have been patrons of Temptasian since it opened. We have always enjoyed great food and service and tonight was no exception. We’ve had birthdays, casual dinners and both my parents celebration of life dinners there. The staff and owners treated each of those occasions with dignity and compassion. This restaurant and the fine folks that own it will be missed by us and our family. Best wishes to them in the future and Happy Retirement

Our group of four had never been to Temptasian before despite it being in Vernon for ten years. We had been informed the the owners want to retire so the restaurant is closing at the end of August 2021. This restaurant previously had a reputation of being the most expensive Chinese food restaurant in town. We were all pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices. I would say it's on par with all other Chinese food prices. The ice cream serving was surprisingly big given the cheap price. The Singapore noodles were unexpectedly spicy for someone else who doesn't eat spicy food. Overall, very clean restaurant and a very big venue. It's a very welcome space during the pandemic. It also was one of few restaurants open Tuesday August 3rd for dine in as most restaurants have shifted to take out only. I recommend this restaurant.

Was just here today. The food is awesome. I mistakenly ordered sea food fried rice for myself alone but it was a shareable family size. Stick with their lo mein. They tasted really good, it looks very vibrant and it will not let you down. Also try the only chinese beer they have. Its great.

We enjoyed an average meal here. The food was fresh, prices a bit high. "crisp noodles" weren't at all crispy but if you are looking for a clean comfortable restaurant, this is it. Just don't expect the wow factor.

I love the smells of Asia, Chinese food, good size portions, large facility so seating never a problem. Little pricey but still affordable for a small group or Family to enjoy without breaking the bank$ Yes! They do Take-out for hotel dewellers...

This was a very good dinner. I would call it a solid 4.5, but can't give partial stars. Temptasian was clean and had a nice decor and ambience. I had hot and sour soup (really good, very hearty) as an appetizer and then chicken fried rice, almond chicken and ginger beef. All of the dishes were fantastic. Lots of great flavour, good portions and good quality cuts. If you like western style Chinese food, you will not be disappointed here.

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with their take out. Ordered $60 worth of food and didn’t get nearly enough to feed 2 adults and one child. We called to voice our concern and the manager couldn’t care less. If you are hungry and want to eat, order from somewhere else or you’re wasting your money.
