Review Midtown Bistro - Vernon

This place is slept on. I mean not really because it has such high ratings and so many reviews. But it's a restaurant I found valuable. I definitely feel like they deserve a 5/5. Their service is friendly and prompt. They offer takeout and dine in services. I found it very convenient to order by text. You can pay by e transfer, credit, debit or cash. Their food is amazing in that it's well made and carefully created. They don't overload..their small menu reflects their commitment to serving quality dishes. Parking is street parking (paid) Caper chicken is fantastic. The vegetables were well seared, buttered and salted. Chicken breast was juicy. Mash potatoes mild and not over salted. The sauce had little tomatoes and capers in it. The picture I took doesn't show the tomatoes because they were still in the sauce cup. Hot beef sandwich was good. I liked the caramelized onions! The beef was a bit too salty for my taste. Pear and goat cheese salad was yummy. I liked the sauce and slices of fig. Everything came together well. I would recommend this place and/or come back when I'm in town. They have new owners. Keep the amazing chefs and staff!

FOOD was absolutely amazing and loved it however I work in the restaurant industry and it was a bit chaotic. The servers were trying their best but seemed a bit overwhelmed. They gentlemen who was there was very ignorant and rude. It took us half an hour to eat after recieving our food (we have children ,so it's not a quick eat and leave. ) He asked our table to hurry up and leave because other customers needed our table. I have never had that in the hospitality industry and am appalled by this service, then they tried to overcharge for drinks which we had to go over with them, charged us for an extra wrap that we didnt order so had to correct that and then the bacon jam was never put on the sliders so had to ask about that ,and was made to feel like it was an inconvenience to even ask. Once again the food was amazing but I find the staff to be lacking and need better customer service .

Great atmosphere, service, and concept - it is great to support local vendors, especially when you can serve such delicious food from them! We had a very generous portion on our charcuterie board, with a killer artichoke dip. Make a reservation to ensure you get a table - it is popular.

The best pulled pork we’ve ever had, and served on fresh, buttery, in-house-baked buns. Amazing pear and goat cheese salad. Delicious and thoughtful cocktails. Very reasonable prices. Very friendly and thoughtful server tonight. Cozy evening establishment overall - only wish they were open later to hang out with friends after work. We will definitely be back. :)

Had the most amazing meal at Midtown Bistro. Butter chicken was a 10!!! The best part is I could go eat there and not be discriminated against for my medical choices. I highly recommend for everyone in the Okanagan. Thanks Midtown for your example of inclusion and incredible food.

Just ate at Midtown bistro for the first time! Along with the great service was the amazing food. So unique and special. Also impressed with the non alcoholic section in the menu for non drinkers. Thank you Midtown Bistro you are truly amazing!!!!!

My husband and I enjoy this tiny restaurant in Vernon for a couples night out. While their menu is somewhat limited - the food is always fresh and tasty. The staff are very friendly and the service is very efficient. Chairs are comfortable and tables well spaced. I have to admit, I have a real weakness for their pot roast and their carrot cake…. Yum!!!!! At one point we will definitely try their charcuterie board.

I had a great time eating delicious food at your restaurant. Great service and very friendly. the atmosphere was awesome . most importantly, the special mix noodles cant remember the name with purple cassava hands down taste great! fried goat cheese appy amazing. highly recommended this place.

Thoughtful people and amazing food. I don't eat bacon, so on my caesar they put a little grilled cheese on it. Usually it just means I have to go without and it was so sweet they did that!! The food is always unreal. Really recommend this place!

We love the atmosphere, food, drinks and service at Midtown Bistro. The chefs and bartenders deliver top quality food and delicious beverages! Friendly, attentive service....you can tell they truly care to create a great experience for you every time. Highly recommend trying their Butter Chicken, Mojitos and their appy platter! Booked a reservation for two and the dinner was flawless! B.B. Sliders & Prawn dinner was beyond satisfying to the taste buds. Intimate atmosphere with great staff & great food, would highly recommend this place to anyone if they’re looking for some great local eats !!

Tonight was my first time here.... but it won't be my last!!! The food was sensational and the service was top notch. You can tell that everyone here truly loves providing the best for those who come through their doors. The food was delicious and the plating was beautifully done! Kelly! Today was somehow Ben's first time eating here! He was blown away by your Rueben and said it was the best one he's ever had out. Also that your salad was made with " real " lettuce... which to him means picked local. He loves the menu and said that this is how restaurants should be. (smaller menu but still bomb ass items) The veggie soup went down well in this HG Momma's stomach.. which is hard to do � THANKS BABE.

Friends recommended and o they nailed it!! Food is yummy! Coffee so good! Atmosphere is beautiful with the art! But the best thing is the staff! Genuine and tenacious such a pleasure being a patron!!! Go now! Go often! Go again and again!

Lovely atmosphere, service was friendly and quick, excellent menu options and delicious, home cooked comfort food. All local and cooked to perfection! Easy on the wallet too! Will definitely recommend and be coming back again!

Love to eat here!! I've ordered lots of different things off their menu and would eat them all again. I would love it even more if they opened at 1130 instead of 1200. Often go elsewhere because my lunch hour starts early

My favourite. Became a regular and now we're like family - they are so supportive of our community and so driven to provide good food for people. Never been disappointed with a meal, always leave feeling spoiled. Great spot for local musicians to stop in and play regularly too

Cannot say enough good things about this place. Every single time we go here it is a great experience. Top notch service & fantastic food! Most recently we ordered a 'board to go' for a work Christmas shindig. Of course it was beautifully arranged on a table leaf (it was huge!!!) & had a variety of options that satisfied everyone, without breaking the bank! Thanks

This is a favourite lunch spot of mine! Great service and fabulous menu. Lots of choice for every taste from vegan to carnivore. I now need to make an effort to go for dinner!
