We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The food was great, better than any sushi place in Kelowna. The staff was fast and friendly and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant was well maintained and clean and had good vibes.

The food is amazing! Always fresh and has so much flavor. People tell me about other places they feel has great sushi but I always respond by asking if they have tried Kawakubo. Once they have tried here then I will listen and see if they still feel other places have good sushi :) This place has the best sushi I have ever had! Their curry roll is one of my favorites! The service is always friendly and inviting too!

Kawakubo uses quality ingredients for their sushi. I was quite impressed with their rolls and the variety that they offer.
I ordered takeout and they forgot the soy sauce. Sushi without soy sauce just isn't the same, unfortunately.

When I first moved to Vernon last year, it took me no time at all to find Kawakubo, it was the name out of everyone's mouth when it came to the best sushi.
And they were right.
This is definitely one of the best spots in the Okanagan.
The sushi is SO FRESH, everytime.
The tastes are so incredible everything is always made to perfection.
I eat there weekly now, and the staff and Miriam, make me feel so welcome everytime I come in the door. Everything about this place is 10 / 10 !!!

My daughter and I are enjoying a 'carpet picnic' of the most delicious sushi rolls (Green Dragon, Rainbow and Ninja) our favourite chopped scallop cone, toro sashimi and a few more amazing items.
Oh- and th ponzu sauce is to die for with the chicken karaage.

The best sushi we've literally ever had. And in Vernon!? Almost too good to be true. We come as often as we can. The staff is incredible and the food really is the best you will find. Could not recommend it any more highly!

Thoroughly enjoyed the delicious sushi. A wide variety of healthy options with options to substitute for those with allergies/sensitivities. We have been a few times now and both the service and the attention to detail was fantastic. We highly recommend Kawakubo for great variety in roll options and quality. Finally creative rolls without the imitation crab!!

Great location in downtown Vernon, interior was very modern with a good atmosphere. Tried 7 types of rolls and of those 3 were exceptionally tasty (Volcano, Seafood Tempura and Naruto). Service was great, very helpful. Definately one of the top sushi locations in Vernon.

This restaurant left me with a mixed feeling. On the one hand, the venue is elegant and well kept. The service is very good. The food is above average, however they do use the same shredded crab that every other sushi place uses as well. The bottom line is that the food is over priced for the quality. I can get this same sushi from a lot of other places at a lower price.
