Review Fresh Lemongrass Restaurant - Vernon

I love it!! #64 beef curry omg tasty And the #4 spring rolls absolutely a yes for me. Serive is great, table clean and they serve you lemon water <3

Went to Fresh Lemongrass Vietnam on a Thursday afternoon. I read several good reviews about this restaurant so I decided to check it out with my family. This place was busy but they only have two staff working. There were times when I had to get my own utensils because it took too long for the staff to get to our table. I ordered the grilled pork chop rice and overall the dish was great. The marinate on the pork chop was amazing, they gave pickled purple cabbage, and alot of rice. They could really ease up on the rice but they probably think people won't complaint about getting too much rice. We also ordered the salad roll which was tightly wrapped and when I bite into it the fillings didn't fall out. However the roll came filled with chicken slice instead of pork slice (as advertised on the menu). When I go into a new pho restaurant I always get their special beef pho. This pho soup noodle was really disappointing as the broth was lacking ingredient flavors.

We recently had a lunch at Fresh Lemongrass. We decided to try something other than our usual orders - Pho favorites. We had a mixed seafood in a spicier sate broth and a beef stew type dish. #19 and #32 I think. Yummy! What we like about the restaurant: Passport and I'd checking♡ The food is awesome. ♡ Clean. ♡ Excellent value for prices. ♡

There is no point in ordering here. I have heard their food is good, however I have tried multiple times over the years to call and place orders. They never answer their phone. Or never change their voicemail after holiday closure hours have changed. You can leave a message and they never call back. Do not waste any time. PHO fusion is near by and has excellent food. You can actually place an order.

Good: food, price Not good: service. I was visiting Vernon for the first time. Came in there, wanted to order take out. I stood by the sign"please wait to be seated" and watched waitress and waiter walked pass me few times. Yes eye contact, but No word. I was confused, maybe I should go to the counter since I didn't want to dine in. Then I stood by the counter, after 1 min still being ignored. I said hi to one of the asian man,looks like an owner or a manager. He gave me an attitude, then sat down, asked me what do you want? Excuse me? Where's the menu? He said:oh you don't know what you want? Are you assuming everyone knows your menu in mind? 3 stars were from the avg of price 5 and service 1.

Delicious fresh food, large portions, very reasonably priced, excellent service. Definitely one of our favourite restaurants in Vernon. It gets very busy so give yourself plenty of time as you may need to wait a little bit for a table.

First time eating authentic Vietnamese and we will certainly be coming back to try more dishes! Ordered was the Lemongrass Stir Fry Vermicelli (Chicken) Spring rolls & Pho Special I'm sure we butchered assembling the Pho but it still tastes amazing 😍

Unbelievably horrible experience. To top off the awful experience, I was overcharged not one but two dishes of pho I never ordered. Would never recommend this place to anyone, even if the food was palatable.

One of the best Vietnamese restaurants I have been to. I have a friend whos favourite food is vietnamese and he travels for work and goes to many different Vietnamese restaurants and agrees this place is his favourite. The calamari is the only thing on the menu that I am not a fan of. I've tried a lot of their food to say i have only found one thing i am not a fan of. You will 100% leave with leftovers, unless you got high before and could take down the whole kitchen of food. For people who said they had a horrible experience, well i would suggest trying again, it could have been an off night, because to maybe your surprise, bad nights happen. Nobody is perfect. Mistakes happen folks, news flash for you! One time i was sittin at a table alone and was talking with this gentleman who was in Vernon for business and he said he comes to Vernon once a month for a business trip and said he has came here every single time, once a month for the last 4 years. Whenever him and his wife make a trip to the Okanagan every summer, they always stop here. Best Vietnamese food ever, and like i said, if you have had a bad experience, give it a go again.

I heard a lot of good things about this restaurant so I decided to go with my friend on April 11th in the afternoon. We ordered pick up . To my disappointment, the food was mediocre. What got us even more was how bad the customer service was . The cashier gentle man wanted nothing to do with helping us . I’m not fussy when it comes to the customer service but it wasn’t acceptable . He was rude and unprofessional . I won’t recommend nor ever going back there .

We love the vegan dish and the fresh salad roll!! Awesome!! It has been consistently very good. The staff are always very friendly and helpful!

This is the best Vietnamese restaurant that I have ever visited. The food is always so tasty, fresh and well presented. The staff are always friendly and cheerful. One does not have to wait long between placing an order and receiving the meal, even at the busiest times. It is a weekly treat that we look forward to all week.

presentation beautiful!  my husband had the grilled pork and vermicelli dish....flavor lacking.....on the other hand I ordered the pad thai which I have ordered in the past at other Vietnamese restaurants and have been very good.  I know why order pad thai dish at a Vietnamese restaurant?? At other restaurants I have enjoyed the Vietnamese twist.   Do not order the pad thai!! it had bitter saucy noodles....what a disappointment....!  I took two bites and asked to return it. We still had to pay for half the dish.  it's really too bad.  It's unfortunate.  I have never asked for a refund or have had to return a dish before at any restaurant I have been at.

Excellent Vietnamese a pleasant surprise in an unlikely place like Vernon. Compares very well with Van and California. Dozens of menu items. Pho, vermicelli, and Vietnamese rice are all very good. Service is the downside and needs to improve. Maybe Obama and Bourdain will eat there soon!

Beautiful presentation but talk about salty! Ordered the pork vermicelli with springs rolls to go. The presentation itself looked great, and for take out I wouldn't expect much. The spring rolls were good, filled with a lot of stuff. I personally didn't love the taste but I'm not deducting points for that as overall they were good but just not for me. The pork on the other hand, SALTY! So much so I only ate a few bites. Good size portions. If you like salt you will like this place and I would go back and try another type of bowl with different meat as maybe they were having an off day.

Limited seating but you can make a reservation for your return visit. Sizable well-prepared portions and decent service from this budding restaurant.

Have eaten here several times. Food is consistently good, and service is decent. I just moved here from Vancouver and the food here is right on par with the Vietnamese food in Van. One of my favourites is the house vermicelli.

Great food nice large portions!! Great service unless u get a lady the men there are awesome but the hired woman are rude and hang up the phone if u legit dont start talking as they are talking and they are not great servers either but go anyway hopefully they will fired soon all the Vietnamese staff is great.

Very good Vietnamese Food with fresh and crisp vegetables. It is by far the best compared to the other Vermicilli dishes I've had in other vietnamese restaurants. Service can improve a bit but overall very good food!

Service fail. Waited 10mins to be seated with open tables in front of us. Had to go up and get our own menus after another 10mins of sitting. Then the server showed up and told us we would have to wait at least 45mins for our food. <br/>We left.. Foods probably great but the standard of service was awful

Good enough pho me!. Pork with crystal clear broth and fresh egg noodle soup is amazing! Knowledgeable friendly service. Raising the bar for Vietnamese in Vernon.

Great food but bring a book!. The wait times are horrendous. We waited a while to get beverages they hardly cleared our small table of dirty dishes and I felt myself looking around for alot to get the servers attention. The food is great however for 2 people to have dinner we were there for 2 hours and it wasn't necessary to be there that long. They also seem to have an issue with bringing out the whole tables food at the same time or close to. I think that's strange to eat without your party or wait awhile for everyone to get there dish... However it was just us 2 and it was still a challenge! Customer service needs an update for sure.

Great food, horrible service. It took our waitress nearly thirty minutes to take our order. She knew nothing about the menu, and did not come to check on us at all throughout the whole meal. <br/>All in all, the food is wonderful, but the service is really lacking.

Fresh and full of flavour. One of the best meals I have had in Vernon. We both ordered a seafood noodle dish and it was loaded with fresh (not imitation) seafood. Very flavourful and priced right. It's our new favourite!

Indulge in awesome food!. I have been here a few times. I am a Celiac, and they have a Gluten Free Menu of over 30 items. Staff is very friendly, food has always been hot. And very speedy service. I have been here for lunch and that is quick as well. Supper is just as speedy. I highly recommend to go here for any person looking for Gluten Free options or some fantastic food. My wife eats the other food and also confirms the food is the best. I don't normally like Vietnamese food, but this takes that away. My wife ordered the pad thai, she could not finish it as the portions are huge as well. The Gluten Free options the portions are also huge and you will walk away with a full stomach. The Curry Dishes are awesome.

Bad pho. Way too much msg, the deep fried wontons were cooked for way too long, and the portions were too small.

Just ok. Four of us went Tuesday night. I found the food mediocre. Yes the serving was generous, but we ordered a curry dish, absolutely mo curry in it. Not much flavour, asked the server about it, she was not interested. Had to practically beg for her to get us our tea, no apology for forgetting to bring them. Won't be returning. The pho downtown ...way better

Best Vietnamese in Vernon. Best Vietnamese food in Vernon hands down! Went for the first time last night for take out, Portion size was big and the food was so flavourful. I will be returning and recommending to friends.

The best in town. We've been many times and always get excellent food, excellent service. Try the Vietnamese coffee....yummy!

From beginning to end, Perfect. My boyfriend and I opted for takeout this time around. Not only were the staff extremely helpful, they were extremely accommodating to any minor changes or meal modifications I wanted to make. The location is clean, fresh, and tasteful. Our meals were exquisite ( they take extreme care when packing to-go orders) I also appreciate the hours of operation being consistent across the board. 11-8 every day. We will both be back many times... Try the homemade hoisin sauce. It's to die for!

Awesome food,atmosphere and service. Just came back from a delightful meal. Staff is very welcoming and the food is superb. Portions are plentiful.

Finally a GREAT Vietnamese Restaurant in Vernon!. My guy and I ate at this restaurant tonight and I must say WONDERFUL food and EXCELLENT service!!! Such beautiful atmosphere too...<br/><br/> We were soooo happy with our meals, which were cooked to the utmost of perfection. We had the special which was duck soup - accompanied by spring rolls, curry chicken on rice and lemon grass beef on noodles. <br/><br/>Great proportions for a very reasonable price. <br/><br/> We are so used to the plentiful wonderful restaurants in the Edmonton area where we come from and have been trying to find a great Vietnamese restaurant in our new home of Vernon - and here it is! <br/><br/>Can't wait to come back and taste more of your fabulous dishes. We are so happy you opened your new place, thank you. :)

Pho lover!. I eat at a ton of pho restaurants all the way to Vancouver. Out of every Vietnamese restaurants in Vernon this is by far the best one. The owners and workers are fantastic people who've made me feel so welcome there and satisfied. Good prices. Great taste.

New Favorite Spot!. Excellent food, very friendly and personable staff. Highly recommend if you haven't tried it.

Great Pho. We used to often get Pho at the best Vietnamese restaurant in Calgary. I really could not tell the difference with the Pho here.

Good food!...Okay Service. The food is delicious, good variety. However, we came here an hour after it opened for the day and they were already out of one of their main dishes wonton soup. Disappointing wanted to try it.

Best pho in Vernon!. The pho was wonderful. The toppings were generous and fresh. Service was fast and staff were friendly.
