Review Intermezzo Restaurant - Vernon

We would love to give 6 stars if possible. Oh my God what a lovely evening. Service from all the staff was incredible, especially Sascha.. What a delight, fun, outgoing, knowledgeable and super fun. But let’s talk about food! Wow, we were a party of 8 and we were all blown away by the quality of the food. Every single item was cooked to perfection, super tasty and on point. We all enjoyed ourselves so much and we will be back for sure for more deliciousness and of course the lovely ambiance.

Cannot say enough positive things about our experience here. Every person that we came in contact with was so friendly and accomodating. It made a rough day of traveling a very positive experience. They went over and above in every way from a last minute reservation change due to a delayed flight to special help with my infant for his diaper changing needs. They had a high chair available and were very friendly from the moment we walked in the door. The food was delicious. We tried the hummus, rib eye, chicken Oscar and halibut. They even took our photo on the way out which was a very nice touch. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will absolutely be back next time we are in the area. Best customer service I've had anywhere in a long time!

I wish I could give more stars based on how lovely the hostess (I would guess she was the owner) was! When we made the reservation, the restaurant had asked us if it was a special occasion, and we had mentioned that we were staying at Sparkling Hills resort. The hostess took great care to mention that detail when she greeted us— nice personal touch. Ambiance of the interior was very dim— it would have been impossible to spot hair in my food. Jokes aside, it was perfectly average…nothing really caught my eye or made a memorable impression. On to the food. When our Mediterranean Mussels & Prawns arrived piping hot to our table in a pot, I was most excited. I could have done without the cream in the sauce— both sauce options had cream, so I chose the option that appeared to have less cream. Great flavours, however, by the time we got to the bottom of the pot, I could feel the heaviness of the cream settling in. The honey goat cheese salad was everything it promised to be! Sweet, tangy and crunchy pecans! Delightful. My dinner date and I shared everything— we split the carribean halibut for our entree, when it finally managed to make its way to the table. I would guess the wait between appetizers and entree to be 30 Minutes from the time our main was fired and arrived to our table. Plating looked promising and I was excited to dive in. Fish was nicely cooked, but lacked seasoning. The proportion of risotto was very generous— I would say too generous given the rich nature of the dish. Flavour of the risotto was nice, but the heaviness of it sat like a ton of bricks in my stomach and really left me with no memory of the fish. Unfortunately the slow down in service towards the latter half of our meal meant it cut into our spa time. May have to come back just for appies & wine on a sunny day. Maybe it was on an off night, but I am only basing my rating on the experience I had.

This restaurant goes above and beyond expectations. We went as a group of three at 6:30pm on a Sunday as we misunderstood the wait list😣 Despite our mistake, the host and hostess tried their very best to get us a table and offered their earliest open spot at 7:30pm. We agreed and came back to find that we were in the beautiful wine cellar (which is a one table private room!) To say the least, we had an amazing experience at Intermezzo thanks to the staff’s hard work. You can really see that they’re putting in the effort to make your experience the very best that it can be. The hostess even took photos for us inside the room and outside as well! I ordered the Spanish Saffron Coconut Cream (without cheese to make it vegan) and the Chocolate Decadence (also vegan) for dessert and highly recommend both. Thank you Intermezzo for such an awesome dinner!

What a great restaurant totally unexpected. We came from Kamloops and glad we picked this restaurant. The food quality is stunning and service is amazing. It’s that kinda restaurant you feel you are full but not greasy. Absolutely recommended!!!

Food was amazing but without good service it will ruin the experience, glad to say this was not the case with my experience! Server (sry I don't remember you name 😥) which I happen to know as I make her coffee was amazing, super friendly, attentive and willing to help with questions. Definitely will come again!

Great food, great service and a fancy atmosphere. It’s quite dark inside (lights dim even more around dinner) and make sure you dress up! An excellent place to celebrate any occasion.

We drove from Kelowna to eat dinner here. It was amazing. I had the saffron prawns with linguine and my spouse had the steak with Gorgonzola butter. Best steak ever! We were celebrating our 9 year anniversary and his birthday and we had to signs on the table for them. Such a thoughtful touch. Staff was amazing never felt rushed out. Will definitely be back!!

Had a fantastic meal last night! Could rave about all of it; the crab/artichoke appetizer, the Moroccan Lamb, the local wine, the Creme Brûlée, and the fantastic service! Having live music by Fernando Gonzalez was the ultimate touch for our romantic evening! Thank you to the entire staff!

We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious meal at Intermezzo this evening. Their Honey Pear salad is so refreshing and my Moroccan Half Rack of Lamb was cooked to perfection & so tasty with the Moroccan spices. Five different veggies completed the plate. My husband so enjoyed his Bolognese Gnocchi that he's already thinking that's what he'll order next time, too. And my favorite dessert of Crême Brulée & Chocolate Mousse was, as always, to die for! Service is top-notch and very friendly.

We were lucky to be seated in the private wine cellar rather than turning us away when we turned up without a reservation on a Friday night. We were served by Dustin, who recommended two excellent local BC wines and kept us well served. Food was incredible, we can recommend the halibut, the chicken cordon bleu and the veal picatta. Definitely put this restaurant first on your list when in Vernon. Ps the Black and White Creme Brulee is the perfect finish to sn excellent experience.

Unfortunately like every other tasteless bland restaurant in vernon. It caters to old people that enjoy bland unseasoned food. The atmosphere is nice and romantic the wine is great with a varied range for all pallets. And the service is cordial and top notch. Overall a 3. What it all comes down to in the end is, did the food WoW you? Have to say it was a let down � but the service was good and the company was amazing �

Our family absolutely LOVES coming to this very beautiful restaurant. These are our special nights out. The service is fantastic the food is amazing and we just love how welcoming it is each time we visit! My heart melts with how much care and attention each person has for the job to ensure the customers have the best Experience possible! Highly recommended! We always get a very warm welcome there. Plus the food is incredible and very reasonably priced. Considering Intermezzo is highly regarded for their wines, I was pleasantly surprised by the price and the taste of their House White Wine.

I recently emailed Intermezzo requesting a meal be delivered to my parents for their anniversary. Elllie the manager there told me that they don't deliver but that she would get one of the staff to deliver it for me. I don't live nearby . She not only delivered a fantastic meal, but she did it with a wrong address, no name to go by and no phone number! Intermezzo apparently has wonderful food, great wines and Ellie is a great detective! Thank you for making their 58 wedding anniversary so special!! Sincerely Linda Heft

We showed up on a saturday night, no reservation, half lost and wandering. They sat us at the bar and we were treated to the best meal ever!!! Highly recomend sitting at the bar and visiting with the staff! Such a great experience! Thank you for everything :)

Food was awesome, service was perfect, ambience was pleasant. We will definitely go back. Also, as someone with celiac disease I would recommend this restaurant to those with special eating needs... They were extremely diligent and cautious and I felt great after my meal :)

We ordered the Salmon, Halibut and Veal Oscar. Appys were crab cakes and charcuterie. Everything tasted delicious. The service was wonderful. The waiter was attentive but not pushy. This is my 3rd time in about 4 months. Don't forget to make a reservation. We reserved online and it was very easy.

I love Intermezzo! We have only dined here 3 times in the past year (I wish it was more!) and every time it has been great. Great service and beautiful food. Every time we've ordered the Escargot for a shared appetizer - done perfectly. Then last night we had the Black & White Creme Brule for dessert - EACH! It is the BEST dessert I have ever tasted - I could not stop telling people about it today at work � we definitely recommend this place and will continue dining here as we have for our past 2 anniversaries and on the night of our engagement just 3 months ago! For anyone out there wanting a little more private, book the Wine Cellar �
