Review Turtle Jack's Muskoka Grill - Vaughan

Good food, great service and nice ambiance. Standard American pub with a twist. I had the fish and chips and it was a good portion. The onion soup was good as well as the fettuccine. The staff was friendly and made sure the food came out quickly. The bar area looked sharp with plenty of screens to watch a game and enjoy a cool beer.

This is my third visit to the restaurant. I wanted to give it a few tries before placing a review. The menu has some great selections ranging from salads to burgers, fish, steaks and pasta. Being a kid friendly establishment, the kids menu also comes with a variety options for them too. All three experiences the food portions were plentiful and hot. Our servers were very polite and timed their returns to our table to check in and top up our drinks at the right time. The atmosphere is rustic but not overwhelming and many TV’s entertain the people dining there. I definitely recommend the Basa fish taco, and for dessert the “Skor” brownie.

Staff was extremely friendly and there was no wait on a Saturday (even though reservations were all booked up). The food was very good and delicious, but a little too pricey considering some of the meals I could easily make at home. We got the dip as well as hunters chicken. Overall, a good time.

This place is beautiful with great ambiance. Their turtle wings are succulent and delicious. Great place for family and friends while watching your favourite sports on wide screen TVs.

Great food! Even on a busy day like game 7 of the leafs game. Service was very good. Chicken fingers always a delicious dinner only thing would change about this place is the high prices but other then that a must stop if in Woodbridge

Well I found a new favourite restaurant that caters to the keto lifestyle! Turtle Jacks offers Burger SALADS! So you pick the burger you would normally get and it's served on a bed of dressed salad. Honestly it's unfortunate that I didn't even get to snap a picture because I ate the whole thing. I was almost tempted to take a picture of my empty bowl but that wouldn't really do it justice. It's always difficult going out because I never want to over eat so I tend not to finish my meal. Well let me tell you that there was nothing left in this bowl. My burger was the bacon and cheese topped with fried string onions... I'm really counting down the days my kids say that want to go back.

Went with my husband and we were extremely pleased. The service was prompt, the decor was aesthetically pleasing, and the restrooms were clean and tidy. The food was excellent, and the fish tacos were absolutely delicious! My husband said they were the best fish tacos he had ever had, and he's usually a rather picky eater. He said it was the best restaurant experience he's had all year!

Good menu selection with most items at a reasonable price (nachos were pretty expensive given what you're actually getting - wouldn't order that again). Great kids meals with big portions. Servers were very pleasant and helpful. Booth was also a good size for a group of 6. Wasn't too busy - got a table with no wait at 5:30 on a Saturday night, and even later there was no significant lineup. Would definitely go here again. Careful - desserts are very sweet!

Took my fiancé here for dinner on the night I was throwing him a surprise party. The staff was wonderful! I had to tell the staff to slow down the ordering and delivering of food to time us with the surprise and they were so accommodating. The food was also excellent. We had fish tacos, charred chicken and ribs. Everything was delicious.

The staff are so nice and the food is really good, better than I expected. The fried calamari was quite fresh and wasn't rubbery at all, which is rare, because calamari goes rubbery fast. The staff were super nice, told them my dad just graduated and they were congratulating them. Place was way above my expectations, I'd go again.

I usually go for the chicken wings, pretty consistent and tasty. Well maintained for a casual restaurant. I've been to this location several times and never had a bad experience. On a side note, I'm not a fan of the new paper-based straws. I believe it changes the taste of the beverage and as the liquid soaks into the fabric of the paper-based straw it starts to soften and come apart. I realize it is part of the green initiative to get rid of plastic straws so I simply ask for no straw and drink out of the cup.

Our party of nine had made a reservation and it was well handled. Were greeted and seated immediately. Orders were taken in a timely basis and all appetizers and entrees were served quickly but not rushed. The Vegetable Nachos Extravaganza was an absolute great surprise for portion size, taste and value. Actually everyone was pleased with their orders of 8oz sirloin,Big Wing Dinner,Buffalo Chicken Wrap,Classic burgers,Basa Fish Taco Meal, Chicken Fingers and Salads. Not a single person was disappointed. Our server Amanda was friendly, professional and very pleasant.

They have a great selection of food. My server was great for the most part, our food arrived at a reasonable time. I went with a girlfriend and our 2 pasta dishes were flavourful and so was our 3 cheese appetizer but nothing amazing. Only 4 stars because when we needed our server or a server there seemed to be no one in sight.

I would give it five, but I have yet to experience something that wows me. The food is great, and I've tried a lot of it. The drinks are good, the atmosphere is also. Never had a bad waitress, the bathrooms are clean as well. My boyfriend and I have come many times and even brought out friends here when we first checked it out and "fell in love". This is the type of place where you could wear "heels" but casually with some jeans and a nice top, nothing too fancy! Would highly recommend!

Food was good. Servings were quite ample. Service was great. I had included a note in reservation that it was my daughter's birthday and they brought her a treat. We were a party of 3, ordered food for 2, and we're stuffed.

I had bison burger my fiance had chicken tenders For dessert i had fire and ice (deep fried icecream) and my fiance had the molten skor brownie Everything was delicious and the dessert portion size was huge! Recommended!

Turtle Jack's by far have the best wings in our city. There is no comparison with the size and quality of good meat on them. Make sure you bring an appetite and order the wings Roasters and Dusted. You won't be disappointed.

Love their wings (roasters, not breaded, mild). Can't go wrong with guac and chips. Fresh salad was pretty good too. Only complaint I would have would be that the wings we received were drumsticks only.

We went here for casual drinks and we became a fan of their mocktails along with that the starters were also absolutely up to the mark with pocket friendly prices.

I went out on a dinner date with my girlfriend to Turtle Jack's and it was a horrible experience. First, as I arrived there and there was no hostess to seat us and took about 10 mins before one appeared. Second, after being seated it took an additional 10 mins before I was even assigned a server. So now that we had a server I was expecting things to get better, but they didn't. We wait over 30 Mins to find out that the Kitchen forgot to put our order in. The manager comes out and apologizes and says she is giving us a free dessert and our food will be out there shortly. We get our food after an hour of being there. As the waiter brings the dessert menu she forgets to come back to ask us what we want. I have to approach the bar and ask where our server is. Finally, we get our dessert I'm upset and ready to leave but, the server has brought us our bill. As the bartender sees us put on our jacket the server rushes with the bill.<br/><br/>I will never step foot back in Turtle Jack's in Vaughan. Their service is very disappointing and food not that great. If I could I would give a half point on being neglected and apologized just to be disappointed again. What a way to spend a birthday.

I've been eating at Turtle Jack's for years and I've always had a great experience. It's a staple in Vaughan. Really good comfort food.  They've changed their décor and I have to say it's an upgrade. I recommend the Big Wing sandwich. It's like a huge battered boneless chicken wing in a sandwich. You can pick out of multiple sauces for the chicken. I recommend the Apple Butter sauce. They have a new-ish salad called the Watermelon feta salad. It was very refreshing and reminded me of summer.

Went to meet friends on a Friday night for drinks and dessert! We went with a gluten free turtles cake that was delicious and the tarts! The two desserts were more than enough for 4 people! The service was a bit slow, but I would definitely go back!

Took my friend for his birthday. The place was very busy. We had calamari, potatoe skins and wings. Excellent food and great service. Will definetly go back.

I tried this place out for lunch. Staff very friendly and attentive, good job. Food, not well prepared, greasy wings that could have been found anywhere for way less than the price. Also, someone needs to flush the beer lines because all you could taste was the old stale beer taste. They have a good staff, but need to work on the food and drink quite a bit, especially when charging the prices they do.

My co-workers recommended the wings here, and OMG were they delicious...but complicated...the experience was comparable to ordering a starbucks coffee, except with options like large, roasted, dusted, hot...:) I was also educated on flavours, and that there actually exists a BUTTER flavour! (their most popular apparently) I enjoyed the creole and hot options. My actual entree was nothing spectacular (~13) Peppercorn Burger, but portion sizes were huge (especially since I ordered my fries loaded). Unfortunately wings + burger + loaded fries = food baby for the rest of day. Great place to induldge in pub-like grub (again I push the wings) with your friends!

Vaughn location. The worst dining experience took place tonight at Turtle Jack's at Rutherford and Weston Roads in Vaughn, Ontario. We arrived and waited 20 minutes before a waiter came to our table. (The waiter came to our table after we asked the hostess for a waiter!) The floor manager showed up a couple of times to make sure everything was okay. The wait continued after the waiter took our drink orders. After 15 minutes we received our drinks and were asked if we wanted to order any appetizers. We ordered a few. We then waited for our appetizers to arrive. The waiter came by to ask for our dinner orders. We ordered and waited for the appetizers to arrive. They arrived shortly after we had ordered our dinners. We then waited 45 minutes for our dinners to arrive. We were at Turtle Jack's for approximately two hours. We had to ask for the bill and then waited too long for it to arrive. Everything took too long. This was unacceptable. We asked to speak to the manager. The "floor manager" came by. I told him this was the worst dining experience I had ever had. He asked "why" We told him about not having a waiter show up at our table, etc. and that the wait for everything took too long! He said, "Well, I'm the floor manager. Thank you for letting me know." He didn't even apologize for the horrendous service!" Incredible! I told him I occasionally mystery shop at restaurants and give ratings to the dining experience. I told him his restaurant would fail big time and get a horrible rating! What is wrong with your training program? The "floor manager" did not even apologize for the horrible service we received. We noticed that a lot of tables were full of people waiting for their food. I will never go back to a Turtle Jack's restaurant.

Very poor food for my first visit in Vaughan. Just another Caseys, Kelseys etc but much higher prices along with terrible food. Called Ceo Clark Lishman after eating at the Vaughan location and he didn't bother to address my complaint at all. Left a couple messages.
