Review Mezza Notte Tratoria - Vaughan

My boyfriend and I came in to have dinner. We’ve ordered 2 appetizers and 2 making dishes. The waiter was polite, friendly and utterly attentive. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name. However, the main thing that we’ve noticed is that all food that was served was frozen! We’ve ordered fried calamari that was soggy and not crispy and all. The second appetizer was grilled calamari that was rather pan-fried, bland, tasteless and cold. By the texture and its taste, you can tell that it’s frozen and not fresh. As for the main course, we thought that now maybe there’s some better experience coming. Therefore, the lamb chops for my boyfriend were so bad that he had a stomach ache as soon as we left the place. I ordered mushroom risotto and as soon as the waiter brought the dish, I could tell that it was all overcooked and soggy. Mushrooms were definitely frozen and the water came out all over the risotto. I look rather like a soup than a classic Italian dish. We left with a bitter feeling of regret that we spent $110 for the food I could cook at home from the fresh products and it’d have tasted so much better. Overall, I can tell that this was the last time I came in for the dinner at this place.

Amazing place to have great food and get great service. Everyone is super friendly and always ready to make the extra effort to make their costumers have the best time ever. Kudos to Kevin that always manages to put a smile on our face . Thank you Kevin for the yummy treat 😊

I really liked the Ceasar salad, thought it was bright and fresh tasting and the large portion was a generous size. The pizza and pastas were good, but I felt like the quality of the meat in for example the lamb in the Pappardelle pasta could have been more tender than it was. Pizza was very tasty and they have a current upsize promo going on where you pay for a certain size and get the next size up. Everything about it was good but the centre of it was a bit soft making it messy to eat which isn't the end of the world. It was hard to truly judge the calamari properly because we had it for take out and it was a bit soggy after the drive, but it was tasty even though it didn't taste as fresh as I'd liked. All in all it was a good meal, I think I'd give it another shot eating on the patio so the food is hot right out of the kitchen.

Wow everything here was prepared very well with nice portions for everyone. We were a party of 5 and it was perfect with only a little remaining for take home. Salmon cooked well Beef was nice Pizza was surprisingly very good as I’m not too adventurous with pizza (picture a four cheese pizza as my favorite) Muscle and squid all well cooked to perfection Thanks so much for a delicious evening

I decided to book our reservation online which worked out wonderfully. The service was excellent and the food was also spectacular. From mussels to escargot, pizza, inked pasta, followed by dessert and lattes. All was wonderful. Only reason for the 4 stars was the latte cups did have an odour to them, sort of like a wet sponge left out all night. We brought this to the attention of our server which happily exchanged our beverages for new ones which we really appreciated. I'd definitely return to eat at this restaurant. Overall it was a great.

We went there for the first time! Everything was AMAZING! We ordered soup, caprese salad, penne salmon, steak with mushrooms and wine sauce, some wine, and tiramisu. Everything was so delicious! Kevin, our waiter, was super nice, so we had good time, and will definitely come back!!

The salad I ordered was really slimy and smelled bad. The chicken was overcooked. I'm pretty sure the salad I was served was spoiled. The server became confrontational when I didn't tip for the meal. The outdoor patio looked nice, but the Center St. construction causes a lot of dust. Regardless, I'm not going there again.

Celebrated my grandfather's 80th birthday here, with a party of 12, and we were more than taken care of. Patrick our server was incredible, atmosphere was beautiful, and food was delicious and served promptly. Compliments to the chef! Couldn't be more happy how the night turned out.

We were on our way home from a busy Sunday, and we stopped In at Mezza Notte for dinner. The restaurant wasn't too busy and we were seated promptly. Our server was tied up, but another server took our order for drinks and food. <br/><br/>We started by sharing a Caesar Salad. Flavour was there, but I found the dressing just a touch too dry. <br/><br/>SWMBO chose Pollo Parmigiana. A generous portion of breaded chicken arrived, topped with cheese and sauce, as well as penne and sauce. SWMBO commented that she liked the sauce, which is high praise from her, given her part Italian heritage. <br/><br/>I opted for the Pizza Cosentina, which was topped with grilled eggplant, grilled zucchini, grilled potato slices, roasted red peppers, mozzarella cheese, extra virgin olive oil, and fresh herbs. I liked the flavours, but I think they drizzled just a bit too much EVOO on the pizza.

Not the same standard @ Yonge location. More mordern environment compared to Yonge location.<br/>Service is as attentive.<br/><br/>Selections: Chicken Parm, Blackened Atlantic Salmon<br/>Dishes were not bad, but were noticeably not as tasty as the Yonge location.<br/>I got swiss chard instead of rapini with my salmon, but that's ok as I enjoy both.

Very disappointed , the food was bland and this place is overpriced. Cost was 100 dollars for two people paid 11.00 for a drink and 8.00 for a dry piece of cake. Save your money, there are a lot better places to eat and for a more reasonable price!

Beyond expectations. This Resturant is amazing!!! The atmosphere is warming and eclectic, the customer service is exceptional and the food is AMAZING!!!!! I would recommend this Resturant to anyone and everyone!!! Enjoyed the fried calamari, chicken and vegetables. They also make an amazing pizza with toppings of your choice!!! This is now a Friday night fav hot spot!!!!

Like it! Even though the place was packed we got a table without waiting. The waiters wasnt very friendly but she was coming frequent to ask if we where ok. I had the pizza caprichosa and it was very good! Wine good. Nice atmosphere very nice and chic place.<br/><br/><br/>Must know that not everything on the menu is good.

Good service, but the food is mediocre and overpriced.

Very good food. Tried many items on the menu and everything was delicious. My personal favorite dish is the veal medallions in wine sauce with veg of the day. Staff are polite, friendly and very accommodating. The atmosphere is great and the design is beautiful. If you have not been, give it a try - you will not be disappointed.

Each bite of orecchiette when combined with a bit of the sausage and spinach was perfectly balanced in flavour: a little chewy, crunchy, and salty. It was very good. The portion was huge too.
