Great food and friendly owner! We went to Anna Maria Trattoria for my brothers 30th birthday. The service was fast, everything tasted delicious and the owner came over several times to make sure we were enjoying our meals and to wish my brother a happy birthday. He even gave him a free drink! We had the fried and grilled calamari, both were excellent. A couple of us ordered the gnocchi which were to die for and came in 3 different sauces to choose from; tomato, meat and alla vodka. Several people in our party ordered the salmon with various sides and they all enjoyed it. The buccatini and tilapia were also ordered and they were great too! Only area i would say needs improvement is the napkins , cutlery and glasses could be a bit cleaner. Not really a big deal though! As i said the food was amazing! We will definitely be back!
Derrrriciois. First time coming here. Thumbs up! Sooo delicious. Typing this as I'm eating leftovers from last night. The portions are huge, the chef, Frank, came out and thanked us. So sweet. This place really is a hidden gem. Feels like you're eating dinner at your Italian friend's house. Will be back for sure!
Super delicious.. When Mama is in the kitchen, you know the food will be great. Large portion of delicious food, definitely worth future visits.
Very impressed.. My husband and I recently had dinner here for the first time. We made a reservation for Saturday night, which is a good idea since the restaurant was full when we arrived at 8pm. The service was absolutely amazing, our waitress was very helpful and not pushy. The food was fantastic, very flavorful and large portions.
We will make this one of our regulars spots for a date night.!
Amazing experience. 1st timers in this restaurant and was surprised by this hidden gem. The food was amazing,live Italian music was a total surprise and the customer service you would not see in any large scale places. Our sons 25,21 and our daughter in law 25 and us middle age non Italian family loved it. 100% will be back. Wonderful place for a great food and amazing atmosphere.
Loved the "truly Italian" feel + food. My bf and I were on a food-venture and were craving italian when we came across this cozy restaurant! The staff were so friendly and welcoming! There was live italian music, older couples were dancing, it was a delightful evening topped with good food. Their homemade spicy sauce was tasty with a bit of kick, and as my bf said "tasted very italian". All of our dishes were incredibly tasty, as follows: Smoke Salmon Starter, Orecchiette alla corsentina, Fusilli alla nonna folemena? It has my stamp of approval and will definitely be back for another visit =)

Best authentic italian food i have ever eaten. reasonable cost, but 500% worth it. i would go back every day if i had the $!
AMAZING just simply amazing. I have been here a few times with my girlfriend and every time the food has been splendid and the service excellent. The quality of the restaurant is simply amazing and i would encourage everyone who loves Italian food to eat here at least once. The only bad thing i can say is the food, service and atmosphere is so good the restaurant can be extremely packed, make a reservation, it is just that good.

I went to Annamaria for a birthday party and I'm Italian so I thought great a Italian restaurant that I'm going to be stuck eating gross food but boys was I wrong it felt like I was at my moms house eating Sunday dinner the food was amazing I ate the chicken Marsala with penne vodka it was amazing I will be going back for sure
Great Italian Food. Anna Maria and Lucio used to own a restarant and catering business here in Calgary, wonderful people and their food was always the best. Used them for #1 grandsons baptism and what a great job they did. Something not to be forgotten. Their food is to die for and the best Italian food ever from a restarant, just like mamma makes. So if you want good Italian cooking go visit Anna Maria's Trattoria, sure wish you had a restarant here in Calgary as well again.

Lovely evening at Anna Maria Trattoria. I wanted to try something new in Italian dining so came to urbanspoon for reviews. I have dined in many Italian restaurants over the years as Toronto and GTA have some truly fine Italian restaurants and it happens to be my favourite cuisine. There were four of us dining including my teenage daughters. The atmosphere was very warm, service was great, and the food was good. Serving portions were very generous and value for your money was certainly there. I am always fussy on the bread served with an Italian meal, and liked the Calabrese style bread and warm peppers served with the meal along with dipping sauce. Nice touch. The restaurant was full on a Thursday night and given that it is located in an industrial area thought this was a very good sign. I prefer a tomato sauce that is a little less thick, but it certainly was tasty. The Caprese salad my daughter ordered had the largest pieces of bocconcini cheese I had ever seen on very large tomatoes. She enjoyed it along with the Pasta & Fagioli soup. Definitely large portions. We were all very full when we left. We all had an appetizer and an entree, glass of wine, one beer and two drinks and with tip came to $120.00 - so fairly reasonable. We didn't have room for coffee or dessert. Do not believe the naysayer review that is posted. It appears from how busy it was tonight that others are paying no attention either. I am glad I didn't as we all agreed that it we had a lovely evening and would recommend it . (p.s. This is my first review on urbanspoon and posted it for others who might want to try something new but are skeptical because of accusations made that the reviews aren't real. I am sure now those comments are just sour grapes over the success this little restaurant is enjoying)
From: Calgary. At my stay in Toronto, I was craving Italian food and was looking on Urbanspoon and found this amazing restaurant. Coming from a Italian back round Its hard to find Italian food that measures up but at Anna Maria Trattoria you wont be disappointed the food and service was 5 star. I highly recommend this cozy Italian Spot for anyone who wants a taste of Italy.
Simply the best.. I discovered Anna Maria's within the first couple of weeks of her opening. Since then I have returned so many times that I have actually lost count.
From the very first moment I walked into Anna Maria's I felt like I was in a true Italian Trattoria, Its warm and inviting and is a perfect place to enjoy your night.
The food is AMAZING, always fresh, made from scratch and full of true Italian flavor.

Divine Dining Experience. This restaurant will not only become one of your favourites, but anyone who has eaten there knows along with your home style meal, you get the home style feel. It is a very intimate and friendly restaurant where the people that work there are not only passionate about the food they make, but the people that walk through their doors. Anna (or her husband Lucio) always makes her way out of the kitchen to talk to her guests and make sure that everyone is happy. It is family run and everyone there makes you feel like a part of their family. Everything is made from scratch (one of the highlights is the homemade gnocchi, the pizza dough and the hot oil that is an in house staple). Definitely something that they should sell!
I highly recommend trying to keep some room for Anna's tiramisu as well. It is absolutely divine and makes the dessert worthy of its name.
The portions are very generous and to be honest we have rarely left without bringing the remainder of our dinner home. (Best lunches for the next day!)
For great atmosphere, bang for your buck, old school Italian cooking and great family or intimate dining, head to Anna Maria Trattoria...you will be planning your next visit and who to bring with you as you are enjoying your first meal.
We make the trek from downtown Toronto to this place. It is the best Italian food we've had inthe GTA. Hands down. I know, it's a big statement, but go there and give it a shot.
What's New..... Toronto let alone Woodbridge doesn't need another Italian restaurant, however Anna Maria is the exception. The atmosphere is inviting romantic quaint and at home all at the same time. The food is fresh flavourful and affordable. The service is professional yet friendly which made my experiences very comfortable and relaxing. Yes this is a new business but Anna's work ethic is old school, she is working hard to build her reputation based on hard work good food and personal interaction with both back and front of the house. It is a wonderful establishment and I wish them continued sucess. On a final note remembering that there is plenty of business to go around for dedicated restaurant owners who cook from the heart and for those who put their customers first.
2 Nights In A Row. We ate there 2 nights in a row. That should say something. This is amazing food. Anna Maria and Lucio used to restaurant in Calgary. They were amazing there too. Now just a few blocks from Vaughan Mills Mall, they are a treat that should not be missed. On my next trip to Toronto, no matter where I am in the city, I will drive for another meal of handmade pasta, gnocchi and some of the most outstanding sauces I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. As a former chef, I tip my hat to Anna Maria.
Amazing Food, Incredible Staff, and Awesome Prices!!. I was recommended by a friend to try out this new restaurant. She had attended a work function and was raving that this restaurant was one of the best she had been to so I decided to try it... and I'm sooo glad I did!
The staff were very friendly and customer service oriented. The owner Anna Maria actually came out and introduced herself to us and thanked us for coming. I felt so at home. When my dinner came out there was no fancy presentation but the quantity and quality were superb! The location of this restaurant is in an industrial area but don't judge a book by its cover... when you walk in you will be blown away and feel like you're in Italy!
Great Place To Eat. Ate here for my Aunts 60th birthday and I must say I was so happy to go to an Italian restaurant and actually get Italian food! The portion size was amazing and the flavors delicious! With a picky daughter who wont eat pasta because she never likes the sauce we were worried she wouldn't eat, but she absolutely LOVED the Penne with Alfredo sauce!!! We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area. Its definitely worth the hour drive for us!!!
Wow Wow Wow. This is the best Italian food ever. Portions are huge, prices are great and atomosphere fantastic. Friendly service and had to take home leftovers. They even gave us complimentary fruit for dessert . When was the last time someone gave you something free. Will go back soon and bring friends for sure/

Located well off the beaten path on Langstaff just west of Jane Street lies Anna Maria's Trattoria. This is another great family restaurant that is one of Vaughan's best secrets. Reservations are recommended before you head out since it is small venue, and they do fill up fast. But once you get here you will see why it has become such a popular restaurant. The Italian menu has something for everyone and provides lots of options. Starting with the appetizers, you have the Italian classic of fried or grilled calamari, along with other dishes like shrimps, mussels, and assorted antipasto dishes of cured meats and grilled veggies. There are also numerous salads including a caprese, caesar, radicchio and arugola to get your going. Anna Maria's also has a great variety of pizza's and pastas. They range from a simple Margarita pizza (sauce and cheese) and Spaghetti alla chitarra (tomato basil sauce) to favourites like penne ala vodka, and meat lovers pizzas with everything in between. If you are not already stuffed from the apps and pasta and pizza, you have a great selection of entrees. There are both Meat and Fish selections, including Salmon and Tilapia, and a Zuppe de Pesce. (Fish Soup, but it's not a typical soup, its more like a big bowl of seafood goodness with assorted fish like mussels, clams, shrimp, crab, calamari and more, served with bread to dip in the sauce after) As for the meat dishes, they offer a new york strip loin, veal and chicken, made in your choice of marsala or parmigiano sauce. If you are looking for something lighter, they have veal or chicken cooked on the grill. All entree's are served with veggies, salad or pasta. If you have any room left, they have some nice dessert options, just ask your server for what they have in stock. So come on down and try one of Vaughan's hidden gems, and say 'Ciao' to Anna Maria and her Trattoria!
First time here. Surprise how GOOD and authentic the food is. Very filling, and will definitely come again.

Tasty food, reasonable price and very generous portion size; a family run Italian restaurant in Vaughan.
The risotto el funghi that I had was perfectly cooked. The risotto rice was soft and a bit chewy, exactly the way I like it and the mushroom aroma permeating from the risotto was just wonderful.
To finish, our party ordered two cheese cakes and a tiramisu. The tiramisu had a strong coffee taste which contrasted the sweetness of the cream, it was one of the best tiramisu I had in a long while. An order of cheese cake had six shot glass size of miniature cakes of about 2 to 3 small bites worth, perfect for sharing, although the cheeses were not outstanding.
We were there on a Wednesday night and it was not busy at all, but I heard the wait can be long on weekend nights.
Very pleasant experience. Authentic atmosphere and great food! We ordered fettuccine Mare Mondo and they were so good! Perfect balance of flavors and portions is good for 2 people. We also had pizza but the pasta beats it!
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere! We tried the Cosentina pizza (tomato sauce base topped with tasty bocconcini and slightly thick lean prosciutto) which was amazing. The Spaghetti Chittarra is made with a tomato basil sauce that is extremely authentic and just about the best you can expect to find at a restaurant. Last but not least, the prices are very reasonable. This place is a must-try!
First time patron at Anna Maria Trattoria. Visited on a Tuesday for lunch with a group of 6. Made reservations and when we arrived we were greeted and given a choice of tables. Starter with antipasto and calamari. Very generous portions and came out quickly. Both were delicious, I was a big fan of the calamari. I personally ordered the gnocchi with meat sauce and I was pleasantly surprised with the flavour and taste, just like Nonna's! I was more surprised by the massive amount of Gnocchi in the dish! I could not finish the serving, barely made a dent. All in all great place, delicious food and very good service. Will go back for sure

Good food and huge portions. We got fried calamari, pizza, seafood pasta and chicken parm.
I went to the restaurant again yesterday with my husband for dinner. My husband had the Alla Calabrese pizza and it was absolutely amazing cooked to perfection! I had the gnocchi with rose sauce and it was beyond delicious! I would highly recommend that you go and eat there. You definitely won't be disappointed!! Can't wait till Friday to go back:)
