Your basic cheap slice place. As a slice spot, Pizza Guys isn't bad, just undistinguished. The crusts are white-flour, not much flavour, slightly cardboardish texture, minimal oil soak-through onto the paper plate. They seem like those pre-made types where the staff adds sauce and toppings. The sauce is on the sweet side, adequate ratio of it to the cheese and toppings (which are on the thin side, but not too skimpy.) My pepperoni slice was good because it had just come out of the oven, and the Hawaiian was ho-hum because it had been sitting under the warming lamp for a while. At $4.50 for two slices and a pop (including tax), which seems to be the current average price for that deal in Vancouver, Pizza Guys is just that, average. If you're hungry and on that part of Howe Street it's OK, but if I had to choose between Pizza Guys vs. Wood Fire, Uncle Fatih's or several other slice places I frequent, it would be the latter choices.
