The Robson Business Improvement Association and I have collaborated to bring you some of my recommendations for where to eat on Robson Street. As someone who frequents Robson Street a lot for great eats, it was definitely a challenge picking my favourites!. Korean food is one of my go-to comfort cuisines, and there’s nothing better than enjoying a cold beer with some crispy fried Korean chicken after a long work week. One of the best places to do that is at Olé Wings & Tapas. It’s located on the second floor of a building, so it can be easy to miss.
I came here on a Friday night for a coworkers going away party. It was early evening so we managed to get seating for about 10 people. Great place to get together, share some tapa style dishes, and of course drink some soju. Staff are friendly and accommodating.
I saw a bunch of reviews on this place, and it was right across the street from our hotel. This was the best and most tasty fried chicken we have ever had. We order the blueberry soju ( after reading the reviews) and it was better than I ever thought, the Korean sweet and spicy boneless chicken and the garlic soy bone in chicken. The texture of the chicken had a great crunch and the flavors was really good. I think next time we might get salt and pepper just for the batter. we got a med order of the boneless to go for later and it was still very yummy the next day. If you are in the area.. I strongly suggest you try it :)
Best Korean Chicken I have had in Vancouver. I was in Seoul last year and specifically went for chicken while there... òle Korean Chicken was better than Korean Chicken in Korea .
It is a beer and chicken place so it gets loud. The only thing I would change is for them to show the Canucks when they play rather than annoying K-POP.
November 21, 2015 · by ThatShanghaiGirl · Korean Fried Chicken!!! Literally one of my favourite things to eat, fried, crispy, goodness! I’ve pretty much have made it my mission to try every chicken place near me, so the past Friday I decided to try out Olé, and I’ll definitely be back. Service was great, and I love how their on the second level it makes the place feel more private!

Overall, I was quite satisfied with Ole Wings and Tapas. A good choice among the Korean restaurants in this stretch if you want chicken and beer. Pitchers run at around $15 which is around the same as most restaurants, but I found that the value of the chicken was pretty good since we only needed to order one plate for the three of us. You also get free pickled daikon since it pairs well with spicy food. Service was also quite friendly and attentive even though we were probably the only non-Koreans dining there.
Loved it. Great food, great service. Atmosphere is nice too. I will definitely come back some day.
Best place for chicken. An Ole Wings and Tap was in Lonsdale too but they have seemed to have changed it into a burger place! Anyways, they have amazing food. The chicken is simply delicious and the service is great! It's a must try!!
I am so shocked to find that no one has every blogged about this place! This restaurant is all upstairs and their sign kind of just blends in with everything else. I can confidently say that I've NEVER taken a second look at this place having walked on Robson Street billions of times. What I instantly noticed was how busy it was and how most of the customers are Korean. There was even a line up when we got there at 8pm. Ole is clearly a much loved hidden gem for Korean locals. Some of their menu items are written in Korean only. But essentially, you get to choose from Whole Chicken (with bones) or Boneless Chicken . After choosing that, you select your sauce. It ranges from salt and pepper to honey garlic to spicy sweet sauce. We were ready for a night of drinking so we ordered a pitcher of Sapporo ($15) and a bottle of Soju ($11.99) to make... Somaek! *Sigh*... I remember buying Soju for a
