It’s a pretty small, no frills hole in the wall Vietnamese restaurant. However, there was always a healthy amount of customers so you knew it was not sketchy!House pho, large: We were pleasantly surprised at how cheap the pho was! My parents both ordered the house pho which came with all the usual meat. Normally, my dad complains that there’s not enough noodles and he is still hungry… But this time, he was really full.
They have House Special Large Pho (all meats) with 1pc spring roll for $9.50 + tax. Huge portion. Spring roll was really crunchy and tasty. I liked their pho as they don't seem to use much MSG.
This little unassuming Vietnamese restaurant tucked away on Nanaimo Street next to TD Canada is hands down my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Vancouver. It’s definitely a no frills location but it is clean enough and the service is always friendly. I really appreciate that this restaurant doesn’t use MSG (or at least very little) because I hate the thirsty after taste I usually get at Vietnamese restaurants.

What I ate: Green Papaya Salad.
I always order this no matter what time of year - I even order this when its negative ten degrees outside!
The portion is generous and very fresh. I love the sauce they use because it's perfectly balanced between savory, salty and sweet.
Also good: Bún bò Huế and Vermicelli bowls
This place is right nearby. I enjoy picking up a good inexpensive meal here pretty regularly. The house sauce is great. Get spring rolls for sure!
Look at the spring rolls and chicken wings! Obviously they make their own spring rolls unlike other restrants finger size spring rolls.
Next time, I will try their sate soup for sure. We were randomly stopped by for snack before dinner time. But at least we found a good local Viet in Van.
FAST / GOOD PRICE / TASTY!!
The Pho here is great, the broth is excellent. We ordered the dry vermicelli dishes the other day, the portions were very good, and the meats were full of flavour. The salad roll was very fresh, and the fried rolls were crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. The service is good, the waitress was very friendly. It's a great place to go if you have a Pho craving.
Really good pho! Great portion size. I ordered #10 Pho and spring rolls. My pho came with two pieces of tendon and some tripe dust (no discernible chunks). The beef was delicious and very tender with no chewy bits. Broth was nice, a bit salty but not undrinkable. The spring rolls were a bit greasy and not cut all the way through so it was hard to eat and dip into the fish sauce but they tasted pretty good. Service was mediocre (didn't get a refill on my drink at all even though I sat after I was done for a good 15 minutes). Total tab was 13.5. You always get what you pay for so for that price and with the food being as good as it was, service was bound to give. Still worth a visit... Just lower your service standards a bit.
The peanut satay soup is one of the best I've ever tasted
Best Pho around. I've been to a TON of Pho places in the lower mainland, and without question this is the best in my opinion. Mainly, I admit, because of their chili satay sauce that they make. As opposed to the generic chili oil you'll find in most Pho places, this one is very rich in flavour, not nearly as oily (at least it doesn't seem to be; compare the wonderfully thick sauce here with the container 1/2 full of just oil in most places), and deliciously spicy. You can even buy a jar of it here, which is great so I have it at home for the many times I do take-out from here.
In addition, their pho is just great. You'll find the usual suspects compared with most Pho, but my go-to dish is Seafood and Pork with egg noodles. I've ordered this same dish at many, many Pho places, and Got Pho is again, the best. They pack in more meat than most, with a lot more variety and some really great pieces (some kind of fish cake thing that is AMAZING and a friend shrimp thing) that I haven't gotten anywhere else.
