Randomly walked by after fireworks and they were still open so we went in! Surprisingly good gelato and generous portions as well. The pistachio flavour was one of the best I've ever had!
Napoletana is going to have to thank The Italian for being a bit of a pizza snob. You see, we play board game fairly regularly (big surprise, I know…) and since it’s right around dinner time we often find ourselves looking to order delivery while we play. The obvious choice is pizza, but Domino’s and Panago are off the table because he refuses to do order from the big franchises. Enter Napoletana, a small little pizza shop a short walk away from my home. They’re a little out of the way from the main Broadway strip on Arbutus and 10th but I’ve seen their flyers enough times that I’ve always wondered about them. I suggested it to The Italian in my best Italian accent impression, he was annoyed but agreed since these were his people. Over the past month the two of us have ordered from them 4 times now, though if I’m being honest I didn’t really like them after the first order but I’m glad we decided to give them another shot. I think the pizza selection was more to blame for our issues the first time since I enjoyed the pizza quality and texture itself, it was more the toppings that didn’t work for me. For our first order we were in the middle of a game and couldn’t be bothered to look at the menu, so I decided to trust the person on the phone with a couple recommendations. I asked for a basic pepperoni type pizza and so she suggested the Extreme Pepperoni Pizza (mushrooms, extra pepperoni, green peppers & mozzarella) which sounded fine by me. The Italian wanted a Chicken Pesto Pizza (feta cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, baby spinach leaves, chicken, black olives & mozzarella) and they had exactly that on the menu already, so we stuck with those two. The lady said it would take upwards of 45 minutes for the delivery but on all 4 orders delivery time was 30 minutes or below. The pizzas arrived and right away I could tell based solely on the weight of the boxes that t
Best Pizza in Vancouver. Just visited Napoletana pizza. A while back with my wife. It looked very classy and elegant and it was our first time. My wife has a major allergy with gluten. And they had so many choices for her. They also had exquisite coffee from umbria. Which was excellent. Over all everything was amazing hoping to come again. Especially for the gelato.
The "BEST" pizza spot in town.. Recently drove by this place with my wife and thought we'd check it out. A polite young lady suggested a couple different pizzas so we went with the chicken pesto and wow was it the best chicken pizza we've ever had. And after we couldn't walk away without the Gelato looking so tasty so that really topped it. Would definitely recommend this place polite staff delicious food!!
DELICIOUS PIZZA. Had a coupon for two mediums for $21.99 so I decided to order for pickup. Both pizzas we tried were piled high with TONS of fresh toppings and cheese on a delightful thin crust. I've tried many of the pizza places around kits, both independent and chain and I have to say this is one of the BEST if not THE best in Kits. Since this was my first time ordering I didn't try the Wings, Pasta or Salads so I can't comment on those. However, I will definitely be ordering again to try some of their other mouthwatering selections.
BEST KEPT PIZZA SECRET IN VANCOUVER!. I was having my windshield replaced and was looking for a place to have a bite to eat while waiting. So it was with great joy that I accidentally walked into Napoletana Pizza!
The service was very friendly, but of course as it was the owner himself! When I asked what was popular, he suggested their "Napoletana Favorite" pizza. I asked for black olives instead of green and to add mushrooms and feta cheese (I chose a small on thin crust) and this was no problem, he was very accommodating. He told me that the customer being satisfied is the most important thing!
The dough was hand-tossed and pressed out right in front of me and 10 minutes later I had my pizza at the table!
All I could say when I took my first bite was WOW! This was no "pizza chain" pizza: no one ingredient overpowered the other; it was all perfectly balanced and unbelievably delicious!
The owner told me that the scratch-made Napoletana tomato sauce (well-balanced, not too sweet and not too tangy) is a secret recipe. The crust, made from dough that is also home-made was amazing (developed over years of trial and error to get it just perfect) and also a secret recipe.
The cheeses are of the highest quality, no fillers as at most pizza chains, so they melt in your mouth perfectly and are easily digestible.
The other secret to Napoletana's great pizzas are that the ingredients are all fresh and authentic. Many ingredients are imported from Italy and the fresh vegetables come from the local market the same day.
Their philosophy is ENJOY FRESH (it's featured on the front of their beautiful take-out menu, and also the name of their slick website), and this you certainly will...the bottom line is it is quite simply the best pizza I have ever had, and a true labour of love from an owner who really prides himself on serving a top-quality quality product to make customers happy - what a concept! You will miss out big time if you don't try it for yourself. And there are a wide variety of choices; it looks like there is something for everyone.
By the way, I was told they will only deliver locally within a small radius so the quality of the pizza is not diminished and retains its high standard of taste and texture. It's best to order for pick-up! Thanks again Napoletana, I will be back soon, and so will my friends! Terry S. - Vancouver, BC.
Top of the list for delivery so far. Been sampling Kits delivered pizza for a while and these guys are now the top of our list.
Good ingredients, good size, good taste, good value. They have a 2 medium pizzas for $20.99 offer that is high on the value list.
We will be calling again.
Ok, I'm going to let you in on a little secret: Napoletana Pizza in Kitsilano has some of the best pizza in the city! Located right on the corner of Arbutus & West 10th, (across the street from La Petite France), their pizza pies include the best toppings such as...
