Hidden Gem. I know this place has been around for a few years but I thought it's just another frozen yogurt place. I was early for my dinner so I decided to walk around. They have in-house made mochi, waffles, and HK style milk tea. OMG and it opens until 10pm! The owner gave me a sample in a paper condiment cup with a SPOON! What kind of service is that?!! He also gave me a sample of their famous in-house made mochi. I decided to bring some home. Too bad I was too full after dinner. I will definitely come back. I like the original mochi better than the lychee coz it was less sweet. Very soft. I want more! The next thing they should add to the menu is HK style egg waffles. I hope Rain or Shine is not hurting their business. Even if so, I'm sure they can add bbt and snacks to their menu.
Love the yogurt and toppings here. My favorite combination is the original yogurt with red bean topping. Great little place. I highly recommend it!
Such a cute neighborhood hangout. You order a size & froyo flavor at the counter, then toppings (~20 available each day) and sauces are self-serve. The original flavor frozen yogurt is more tangy, less sweet, and not as smooth as some froyo chains- it won't pass for ice cream (a good thing!). Toppings (crushed cookies, chopped fruit, chocolate, lovely home made mochi) are fresh & in small bowls that ensure frequent refreshment. And there are loads of sauces- including dulce de leche & hot fudge. Love it. The board games are a bonus too- I can see why this is a popular spot!!!
I had the matcha green tea shake and it wasn't good. I would come back for the board games and fun atmosphere though! Really great hangout place with friends: )
Mochi!!. I really like this place, especially because they have mochi!! It's one of the softest mochi I've ever had! (I've only had a few, but still). The yogurt has a perfect amount of tartness and sweetness. I like their variety of toppings as well (i.e. gummy bears, fruits [mango, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, kiwi], butterfinger, fudge-o cookies, granola, chocolate chips, whoopers, and all sorts of sauces). Yummy!
Cute little hang out.. I wish I grew up in this area, because this would have been the perfect place to hang out while underage. Board games, and welcoming bright atmosphere makes this place attractive, especially to females.
The yogurt is yummy, I had the raspberry, and my bf had chocolate with toppings, you defiantly taste yogurt.
However, I was a bit disappointed in the fixings selection. Crushed up no-name cookies and cinnamon toast crunch seemed a bit odd (and cheap) to me. Considering the price, I think it would attract more customers if they include more candy toppings, like nerds, chopped up sour gummies etc.
Better than expected. Their green tea flavour fro-yo is very rich in green tea flavour, which is really good. And their original flavour has the right tanginess and firmness.
The bad thing is they don't offer many kinds of toppings (but I don't really bother given that quality of yoghurt).
Scoop also provides different board games. It's surely a nice place for people to hang out :)
Looking for an after lunch, sweet palette cleanser, MissVancouverPiggy and I, still on our blogger’s date; headed back to “Scoop!”, a small frozen yogurt shop we originally passed on our way to “Indian Gate”. I don’t know about you, but I always need to end my meal in sweetness. I find it provides a more pleasant after taste if you are unable to brush your teeth shortly after your meal, or worse, anytime soon. From the exterior it was eye catching with its pink bubble font and catchy name. Walking in felt like walking into a friend’s basement. Quaint, homey, with all the makings of a mom and pop operation. A point most notable by the assortment of random decor elements and mismatched furniture. A bouquet of fake sunflowers were pinned up on an empty wall, a lucky Hello Kitty cat stood by the register; and hung around the room were canvases of landscapes, flowers, and portraits. No two sets of tables and chairs matched one another. An assembly that looked like it was picked up at variou
Sometimes what you (read: I) really need is some dessssssert up in this bitch stomach, and it was that exact yearning that brought me to Scoop! recently. Twice...
Scoop is located on 4th Ave and Arbutus. This is my go to place for FROYO and friends. It’s the best in town, in my opinion! I am in love with their Mochi, which is homemade. They have different flavors every time I visit. I think I’ve tried most of them by now. The mochi is soft, chewy, and sweet. I love all their flavors! Their original yogurt tastes amazing too, its the perfect tartness and its not watery like other places. Although the variety of toppings is minimal compared to other yogurt places, all I need is mochi! Their fruit toppings are usually pretty fresh too! My favorite other than the Mochi would be their raspberry syrup! The yogurt here is priced by the size of the yogurt and the weight of the toppings. A Small is priced at ($3.29) and it’s .90 cents per 50g of toppings. What I love most about this place is their foosball table, I could play it all day. They also have a variety of board games to choose from. Overall Scoop is a great place to hang out with friends while
