Good pizza cool atmosphere
Lunch here today. Been awhile since I have been. Tighter menu for weekend lunch. Roast lamb sandwich was so good!! Moist full of flavour! SL had burger, she raved over chargrill taste and toasted bun. We will go back
People Watching on Main. I was a little bit surprised. When I walked in, I was a little skeptical and not sure what I had gotten myself into But I was pleasant suprised by the their Roast Lamb Sandwich, which was pretty incredible. Apparently, it hit the spot quite well.
I had the chicken quesadilla. I wasn't as heavy as most that I have had. A lot of avacado, so it was really good.
Service was quick good. We had a window seat, so looking out the window in the early afternoon on a sunny day was quick refreshing.
Love the food and atmosphere. Great service always. I've been there many times and will continue to return. Really good Lamb Chops too.
My boyfriend and I stopped in for dinner here on a Thursday night after an acquiantance recommended the Roast Lamb. We have a great Greek restaurant that we love and wanted to see if the Main was as good! The place was busy and we stood waiting at the door for 5 minutes before deciding to seat ourselves. Once a server noticed us the night greatly improved...she was friendly and attentive even though she was run off her feet busy. We ordered the saganaki appy and it was incredible and very well priced. We both ordered the Roast Lamb dinner and it was served with Greek salad and roast potato. It didn't come with rice or tzatziki, which i was disappointed by but I ordered a small side of each and It was fairly inexpensive. The dinner was Incredible, and the portions were big. Overall i was very impressed and will definitely be back!!
Calamari was quick and delicious. It didn't taste overly greasy or heavy like most calamaris. Got the chicken pita, very good but there's not much to say- it's just a good chicken pita! Waiter was attentive and welcoming and wasn't over done which can get aggrivating.
A lovely atmosphere during a storm. This place is perfect for dinner during a rainstorm of the kind all too frequent in Vancouver--the lighting and colors are so warm, and it's lovely to look out the window at the rain beating down on Main St. The food is reasonably priced family fare. I had the pulled lamb pasta and the only thing I didn't like about it was that it was merely warm, not hot, as if perhaps it had sat for a few minutes waiting for my companion's meal to be ready. It certainly wasn't cold, but I like my pasta a little hotter than it was. Attentive but low-key service fit my mood to a T.
If you’re looking for your prototypical hipster joint, you only have to hit up The Main – appropriately located on Main Street. Open since 1997, the place has got high ceilings, a purple velvet bench seating, and a laid back atmosphere with a small stage where they sometimes host Canadian musicians.
With dim lighting and live music, it's easy to understand if you've mistaken The Main for a lounge or a pub. Rest assured though, it's not. This local South Main restaurant is a mainstay of this neighbourhood and will continue to be for years. View Larger
Today's food blog posting is about an institution on Main St. The Main. This place has been around forever and over the last couple of years has gotten a dramatic facelift and possibly a change of ownership. This was my first time at The Main and it will
