Wow. Are the reviews here on Zomato for Broadway Chinese ever bad. Like consistently terrible. But all I wanted was a taste of Vancouver and I don't know what it is about Vancouver and Beef Brisket Wonton Noodles: even in a restaurant with bad reviews, they're good. Sure, the noodles were overcooked and a little soft, and really lacked the bouncy bite of better made or cooked noodles. And the wonton were a little too solid, not made delicate with enough shrimp bits. But the beef was perfectly tender and the broth was rich and meaty. A few stray bits of cabbage were not unwelcome. And though international comparisons may not be welcome, dinner cost me $12.50, including tax and a tip, and for the same dish in Australia, I think it would be at least $15 or $16, maybe more.
