A tasty favourite. We asked Grand View to deliver food for 25, for a gathering of out-of-town wedding guests. We paid $5 per person, got five huge dishes, everyone ate well, and there was even a bit left over. Of course, we knew the food would be great because we eat at the restaurant regularly.
Yumm, went for lunch. Got soup, a yummy dish and rice for 6:95. Good value. Fresh veggies.
Ordered pick up and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very welcoming and super nice. My food was ready upon my arrival and cleanly packed. Once home we found that it was exactly what we expected. Everything was nice and hot. We ordered the beef and black bean sauce, chicken fried rice and shrimp chowmein with crispy noodles. The portion was generous and the food tasted great. The price was very reasonable for the cheap and cheerful chinese take out we were craving. I would definitely order again for good take out in the neighborhood.
This is absolutely my favourite local restaurant. Seriously delicious, generous portions, super friendly, warm and cosy decor, long and varied menu. They cater creatively to allergies. I stop in after work and enjoy the atmosphere, and the doggy bag is plenty for a meal next day... I have hosted many family parties there too. Don't miss it!
Best bang for the buck in Vancouver. I've been a regular customer since 1988, going back to their previous location on Broadway and Columbia. For me, it's the best Chinese restaurant in its price range in Vancouver and one of the top two in the Lower Mainland.
Although I now live in Maple Ridge, I still try and get there every month or two. The deep fried spicy (boneless) spareribs is my favourite dish, but all the Szechuan dishes are very good.
