My friend went here and showed the pics so I had to try it out. This place is delicious and definitely something you should try if you’re in Vancouver. I had the cumin lamb with noodles and house vegetables which was delicious bok choy. The food was so flavorful and cumin wasn’t overpowering. If you don’t like the taste of cumin, I wouldn’t get it. I would love to come back and try more things. It’s also affordable.
great pita bread in stewed lamb soup! the soup is thick, tasty and very authentic. and you know there’s lots of time to put into their soup base. their “burgers” are also tasty and juicy and you will know they put efforts into their stews. their price are very competitive. highly recommended & will come again.
Best Xian style noodles I have had outside of China. They have a lot of vegetarian/vegan options.
Highly recommended. Really good food. Authentic and generous portion size. I like their fast service too.
The cumin lamb biangbiang noodles were perfect
I always end up ordering the same few things, and crave it when I haven’t had it in while. 😋😋😋 love the fresh “biang biang” noodles, it’s just too difficult to get this to-go, best eaten fresh.
During my recent visit to Old Xian's in Crystal Mall, I was excited to try their famous Spicy Cumin Lamb Burger, a take on the traditional Rou Jia Mo sandwich from Shanxi province in China. The handmade bun was filled with spicy cumin lamb that was cooked to perfection with a blend of garlic, chili, and other spices. The flavors were well-balanced, and the lamb was succulent and tender.
I was impressed with the quality of the burger, which was evident from the first bite. The bun was light and fluffy, and the meat was fresh and aromatic. The spot was busy, with a fair lineup, but the wait time was reasonable, and I received my order within 10 minutes.
The service at Old Xian's was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a unique dining experience, I highly recommend Old Xian's Food. The Spicy Cumin Lamb Burger is a must-try and is a perfect representation of the restaurant's dedication to quality ingredients and excellent service. Even with a fair lineup, the wait time was only around 10 minutes, making it a great option for those who are short on time. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Old Xian's and would gladly return.
So far the best xi’an noodle I’ve tried in Vancouver. The meat was slightly dry
My favourite spot in Crystal Mall. Hand pulled noodles are the best around. Tried them once and haven’t looked back since.
I tried there biang biang noodles with cumen and beef. The consistency of the noodles was just right, soft and chewy. The flavours with complex but all blended well together. I would definitely recommend this place for cheap but amazing, authentic and good quality noodles. A must try when in East Van!
Good enough for my Liang Pi craving! Will go again, but prefer other Xian restaurants. Satisfied
Perfect food and service.especially handmade noodles.we love this restaurant so much.
Ordered with ubereats. Great flavor and the baggy noodle is fun to eat.
Cold noodles are awesome! I'll be back to try other noodle dishes. They take debit or cash only.
