Great hamburger joint at the airport. Airport prices although food quality is very good. Great onion rings. Would recommend
The only good part about going back to school is getting to eat out again!! I have a 4 hour lunch break this term hehehe. Eating burgers is such a struggle when you're allergic to raw veggies ~ I get the most confused looks when I ask for "no lettuce, tomato, cheese, raw onions, and pickles." My burgers always end up looking empty :( So I always get 2 patties (if it's an option) to compensate. The guy actually messed up my order and gave me a burger with cheese in it, but he remade it when I pointed it out to him...no questions asked!
There's actually a handful of burger restaurants at UBC! There's Triple O's, The Pit, Flipside, Koerner's, Mahoney's, A&W, McDonald's (to name a few.) Vera's is located in the Village, beside Pearl Fever!
The burger was good, but dangg, was it ever pricey!! I paid about $18 for my burger and fries - but hey, quality comes at a price right? A few bites later my $18 was gone and I was still hungry..
Burger-o-rama!. One of the best burger joints in town although somehow sloppy the last year under new ownership.
I went to Vera's UBC yesterday on Monday the 6th. My G money was as good as any other Vera's, cooked to perfection and staff were super friendly. I will be back

A Friend I Can Trust. Vera's Burger Shack has three obvious characterists:
1) It has an amazing environement including a flat screen to watch all the ESPN you want, a great view for the times you need to sit alone, and friendly (rather good looking) "chefs"..
2) A variety of burgers that are made in front of you with fresh vegeables and good meat. Excellent sauces in any variety you would like whether it be hot sauce or mayo that bring the burger to perfection.
3) A price that goes for whoever wants a little more than a crumy fast food burger. Yes it may be a few dollars more but all the worth it.
I like Vera's not only because of their excellent food, environment or hot wairtresses but also because of that one time when I was given a complimentary side of fries and a good conversation with an employee after he made a small and unimportant mistake. I came to find that instead of worrying about the content of the food or the loyalty of the workers, i started just trusting Vera... and trust is something that you don't come along that much anymore.
