Someone brought me here for my birthday treat. They know I love Matcha. I like the variety of the desserts and also have the option of toppings. I'm not a fan of Matcha green tea and red bean combination in general. It's great that the server confirmed and corrected the order. Staff are friendly.

Heard a lot of good things about Nana’s so we had to try. We came for dessert so we ordered ice cream. The matcha ice cream is so good, we recommend it for sure. The red bean and mochi are a nice touch. We would recommend and repeat.

Nana’s Green Tea is a Japanese franchise for matcha desserts. I lined up for 45 minutes when they first opened in Kerrisdale. About a year has past, I came here today and there was no line up. Perhaps there are too many other matcha specialty restaurants opened afterward. Nana’s Green Tea is located on 41st Avenue, near Arbutus Street, Vancouver.

Such a delectable parfait with matcha pudding + jelly on the bottom, then layered with whipped cream, corn flakes, warabi-mochi parfait, red bean paste, chiffon cake, green tea ice cream AND syrup. Whew - what a mouthful, both figuratively and literally.

Seriously though, probably the best parfait I’ve ever had in Vancouver. If you haven’t had warabi-mochi before, it’s traditional Japanese dessert that’s jelly-like and powdered with sweet toasted soybean flour on the outside. It’s a little different than mochi as it’s made from bracken starch instead of glutinous rice, yet as deliciously chewy. It’s an absolute treat and definitely the highlight of this dessert. Pairs extremely well with all the other ingredients
