We ordered delivery - great driver! Sushi was amazing ! We ordered gyoza, spicy tuna , Spicey tofu , miso, and special rolls. Some feedback : the yam in the yam roll tasted a little unfresh- we didn’t finish that. We will definitely order again. Thank you
Heard about this place on Becki and Chris(Youtube) had to try it out for myself i ordered the Roll Combo little bit surprised it doesn't include Miso Soup the food was excellent and very delicious the service was friendly and attentive i would highly recommend this place
I haven't been to the actual restaurant itself, but I've recently gotten their takeout for lunch. On that occassion, I ordered their Ranbow Roll ($11.95), Spider Dragon Roll ($12.95), and Dragon Roll ($13.95). Everything was quite tasty and fresh; the favourite was the Spider Dragon Roll, which contained deep-fried soft shell crab that lent a nice crunch. Overall, while I cannot comment on the service, the food is solid and the prices are reasonable. This is a decent place for sushi.
Ordered using Door Dash.
The tempura eel roll was so tiny, save to say the sushi was small.
The tempura prawn were very crunchy. Additional dipping sauce gave it the saltiness. The batter was light & cooked just right for that all important crunch. The tempura vegetables were average.
I ordered one of their super rolls the Ichi Roll. The cream cheese & avocado combo in the roll was delightful.
My recommendation- tempura prawns all the way.
First time here today, had the Deep-Fried California roll (good-average), the Ichiban roll and the Aburi Salmon Sushi. The Ichiban roll was pretty good, the fish on top (tuna, I would guess) was soft and slightly seared, and for some reason their imitation crab was extra yummy! But the Aburi salmon was definitely the best of the three. Super tender and generously sized. Will come back to try the toro version next time.
Food is good for the price. Definitely a plus for affordability and portion sizes. Great for takeout. Excellent lunch and dinner deals. Friendly staff!
The food is fresh and cheap delicious I like it。
They are the only Japanese restaurants i have been to that serves avocado tempura, which i enjoyed very much. The 3-item dinner special is a good deal.
First sushi of 2015. I was in the area on business when I had a craving for sushi, and limited time. I ordered a Hawaii roll and spicy salmon roll. I eat a lot of sushi, and love trying out a new place. I was not disappointed that I did!
The rice was very good, and there wasn't too much of it. Everything tasted very fresh, and the Hawaii roll was very light with just the right amount of mango. The sauce was good in both, but the spicy salmon could use more spice. All in all it was beautifully presented for a Styrofoam container (I do love the planet but sometimes it can't be helped) and hit the spot.
Vancouver is a hot location for good food, and you would be hard pressed to find a block in the downtown "ish" area that doesn't have at least one sushi joint. If your around Cambie for sushi, and you would usually go to sushi bang, I recommend this place instead.
