I like the crispy fried chicken but it could use more varied flavoring. They only provided hot sauce with it. The price is steeper for the portion and there are no side dishes. I am interested to try their AYCE.
If you’re “following” Daily Hive, or maybe have a friend that’s shared the link, you’ll probably have heard of Damso. Boasting All you can eat Pork Belly and All you can eat Chicken Wings (later in the evening), this post was to gauge what the hype was all about!. So the deal for the all you can eat pork belly is that your whole table has to be in on it, or it’s no deal at all…probably to prevent one person from ordering AYCE and everybody else ordering entrees and picking off that person’s plate. It goes for $18.00 per person. Here’s the first order of pork belly that we received. The pork was very juicy, tender and had some delicious fatty pieces with it that made it oh so rich.
Yes you read the title correctly. ALL YOU CAN EAT CHICKEN WINGS, every day starting at 9pm. $14.99 per person with a drink order. 3 flavours available, honey garlic, sweet and spicy, and suicide hot. We tried the first 2 and enjoyed it, we didn't want to risk the $1.50 penalty for not finishing a wing.
Video review on my youtube channel: vancity food crew mr. Osmad souffle cheesecake

This was my first time trying Japanese cheesecake. Next to Damso is a place just for dessert, japanese cheesecake. We got a fresh one right out of the oven. It tastes light and fluffy, like an egg tart but in cake form. My friend and I think it would taste great with vanilla ice cream.
It is unheard of that a restaurant gives me a reason to visit them two times (almost 3) within a month. But here we are, and this is “Damso”. My original visit was actually to “Mr. Osmad”. My guest and I were looking for for an after lunch dessert, and found ourselves here; only due to its proximity to our original destination. But it is during this snack did we find another reason to come back.
What happened to the Seafood Waffles?!!?? Used to be the best thing about Damso, so disappointed. Brind them back and you'll get 5 stars from me. Otherwise the best boneless KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) in town. The blueberry infused soju is sheer genius. Everybody should eat here.
Enjoyed a private dinner party for a girlfriend's birthday.
From the menu, we had the "matang" (candied sweet potato fries), spicy pork bulgogi and bbq pork belly lettuce wrap. Off the menu, we had lobster! As it was a large group, this was a set menu for us. All the food got devoured! It was delicious!
We also drank a lot of soju with our meal. =) A nice experience at Damso.
I had previously had some positive dining experiences at Damso Modern Korean Cuisine on Denman (my rating = 4/5). So when the line up at Cafe Medina was estimated at two hours long, my husband and another couple decided to go for Korean. I recommended giving Damso’s second location on Bute a try and we headed there for brunch one Saturday afternoon.
Possibly the best Korean food I've ever had. Being a chef I truly appreciate the work and thought put through every dish. Everything came out beautiful and tasting even better that I had to go to this place two days in a row and they have their consistency on lock. Definitely a must recommended place. Chef Eric you are a talented man! Much love and wish all the best to this restaurant!

Overall, I enjoyed my two visits to Damso on Bute. The fried chicken was great. The meat was seasoned well, still very juicy and encased in crunchy batter. I loved the pickled daikon and beans we got.
The soft tofu soup is pretty simple consisting of a spicy soup bathing soft tofu, beef, mushrooms and onions. The tofu had a perfect silken texture. It’s a hearty meal that goes well with a bowl of rice, which is provided.
My favorites are the 「Slow Cooked Pork Back Rib」 & 「Kalbee Osso Buco」! The meat are tender and falls right off the bone when you pick them up. 😍 Their Sweet potato fries with red wine glaze on top & chili mayo on the side, 「Matang」 is a must!
Damso Modern Korean Cuisine on Bute near Robson started this “All-You-Can-Eat Korean Fried Chicken Wings Happy Hour Special” back in mid-July but I only noticed the sign for it this week. I took on the challenge… Last time I was here, I had some so-so Korean-style ramen and haven’t been back since. But it’s so close to my work and I think I can eat $11 worth of wings in one sitting! So I winged it.
Damso is so damn good.
Not a bad way to end a long work week. Opted for a low maintenance dinner at Damso, ordering the hot tofu soup (beef on the side), taro chips and chicken wings. Normally the Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) is a popular choice but it's a whole chicken and given there's just us two we went for the wings, which wasn't too bad because it gave us some variety with 3 different flavours - spicy sweet, garlic sweet and dry fry rub. All were delish but the dry was my fave.
All that for $35 and I was stuffed, plus very attentive service. Money and time well spent.
Will be back again, and with more friends to feast on that KFC.
Really delicious!. I haven't been to the Denman location before, but this one on bute is closer to me. Pass by all the time, but decided on a whim to try it. Had the braised pork ribs, beef tongue, and tripe, all very tasty, will come back!
Try the Beef. The Beef Dish is just out of this World, very tasty and tender, have to try the Ribs next yummy yummy, be back soon Guys, what you need to do is get more comfortable Chairs ....keep up the good work Guys and please don't raise the Price to high.....
Because taco is what Damso does well. In fact, taco is what Damso does best.
