Location: 99 B-line bus to Sasamat (Vancouver )
Ambience : Tiny place with very welcoming servers.
Food : yes yes they serve vegetables soy based sushi! Are you a Sushi lover but vegetarian, this is ur place then !
Veggie gyoza is also delicious ( warning- served piping hot , allow it to cool down a bit and njoyyy😉).
Price is decent . Neither cheap nor expensive.
Really delicious sushi. The fish is really fresh and their combinations are different, fruity. They also serve a variety of ramen and udon bowls, but I would say that their specialty is the sushi.
The specialty rolls were on the smaller side for the price, and there was such a small accompaniment of noodles with the teriyaki beef that it almost looked like they forgot it altogether. All in, the quality was decent, but nothing overly memorable.
Good service and there's a wide variety of sushi as well. Have pretty good prices for lunch combos! The food arrived fairly quick even though there's quite a lot of people at the time.
Above average Japanese food with average pricing. They have some interesting fusion rolls, Fire Dragon Roll was yummy! Not sure if this is owned by the same group as the Point Grey location, but the menu is definitely different. I prefer the Point Grey location.
Favourite sushi place in the area. Top quality food and amazing service. The rolls are much better than Sushiyama but a bit of a higher cost. Always fresh! Never had something bad here!
Great sushi, great service. I've been going here for 5 years. Sometimes one per month, sometimes as many as 5 times per month. Get there before noon as the place is not huge and can fill up fast. Try it, you'll like it.
Great spot!. What a great little restaurant. I've always had a great experience - quick service and good food. The staff are extremely pleasant!
Very fresh. What a great find in the neighbour hood ! Spotless & fresh ! My new fav ,had tempera ,crab salad ,some great rolls .well be back !
Really great sushi!!!!. I REALLY thought the sushi was AWESOME!! I ordered the teriyaki roll and it was great! has a few vegetables but could only taste the chicken. I also ordered the tamago and it was really good but i asked for no wasabi but they brought it anyway...
Unique Sushi. Hime has some unique sushi items that you don't see at other places. Food quality is good, price is decent. Definitely going to my routine sushi place!
Favourite Japanese Restaurant. I've been consistently coming back to Hime for its cozy, pleasant atmosphere and excellent food!
Tried the House Vegetarian Roll yesterday because my company was vegetarian and she loved it!
Love the tuna tataki, ankake tofu, miso tofu and the specialty rolls - best tuna tataki i've had so far.
I'd highly recommend Hime to anyone except I think it's better to make a reservation for a larger company since the place is quite small and occupied during dinner time.
Food well worth the price! :D
Nice place!. Comfortable atmosphere inside, appetizing menu with great 1/2 portion options, and good prices! Beef udon was pretty good! just a tad heavy on the mushrooms for me. Tuna Nigiri was great, super tasty, fresh cut of tuna. I will have to come back for a more thorough tasting of the sushi here!
Misosoup, sunshine roll and Toro nigiri on Brown and black rice were amazing! the tuna sashimi was huge chunks and not so great. Service was excellent. Highly recommended! :)
Fast service and good eats. Came when it opened and service was fast and friendly.
Had the Asari Pasta which tasted kinda like italian pasta with udon plus also ate some Okonomiyaki which is quite excellent.
Definitely coming back to try more of the menu.
My "go to" sushi spot. Hime has great quality sushi that doesn't break the bank, which is surprisingly hard to find in Vancouver. They are so delicious and consistent that I continually go back for more as opposed to trying new places and so often feeling like I have wasted my money. Yes, its a touch more pricey than the average hole in the wall, but thats because its so much more delicious! Great chef's specials and interesting selection of rolls - I am addicted to the house sauce!
Fresh fish, good service.. I was debating between Hime and Sushiyama one day and decided to go to Hime on a whim. We got there close to the lunch closing time so it was quiet. The people were rather attentive and service was quick. I decided to get a lunch box for the variety while my friend got the tempura. Everything was pretty well-done, with the tempura being crisp and the sashimi tasting fresh. The portion sizes aren't what Sushiyama has (the chicken teriyaki tasted good but was small), so this isn't a place to get stuffed. Still, between the good service and the reasonable prices for what I got, I'll return.
We go a few times a month.. A little more expensive than a lot of sushi restaurants in Vancouver, but it is well worth it.
Great place. sushi was good. service was ok. the other Hime sushi at point grey village is much better though!
Sushi Jewel. Hime is the under-rated sushi restaurant of Mount Pleasant. The food is always so good and the service is excellent as well. I especially like their daily special: udon, chicken teriyaki bowl, assorted tempura. Everything is high in quality and very tasty. I can't understand why Sushiyama one block down always has a line up when Hime is just right next door and always has lots of seats! Oh well, more for me!
Really great. Awesome service too. I'm a vegetarian and I can safely say that their veggie rolls are great. Tempura is nice and light and the tuna don was super fresh (says my partner). Highly recommend.
Good, good, good. Good udon, good okonomiyaki, good lunch boxes, good service, good atmosphere, good prices
Clean nicely decorated small place with about 10 tables and bar to sit at and watch the food preparation. Staff was friendly, service was fast. The Paradise roll tasted as good as it looked. I was tempted to ask the patrons on both sides of us if I could take photos of their sushi rolls as they too were pieces of art. Sushi rolls are available in brown and black rice. Chicken katsu don was delicious and plentiful. Highly recommended for price ,taste and food presentation.
I’m glad we went because Hime Sushi serves up some really fresh and delicious sashimi, as well as other dishes. I noticed their slices of sashimi were a bit smaller than usual, but the freshness of the sashimi made up for it.
I always drive by this place on my way home from work and had always wanted to try it out. So we finally decided to go and check it out. Being near the busy streets of Kingsway, and being right on Broadway, parking can be a bit of a challenge if you’re coming by car. Park a few blocks away, and you’ll be able to find some free spaces. It’s a small restaurant with Korean staff. We were greeted right away as we walked in. Since all the tables were full, we waited as we looked at the menu. I ordered the Mexican roll $4.95, Negitoro roll $3.50 and Yaki Ebi $5.50. My company ordered the Hime Sushi Combo $10.50 Cute cat/sushi tshirt! The food came fairly quickly, and they were very good. The Negitoro was very fresh, with lots of negi – which I like The Mexican roll was surprisingly good. Since I was tired of the regular California rolls everywhere, it was nice to have a spicy version. When the Ebi Yaki arrived, I was a bit shocked to see how small it was. The photo in the menu seemed so muc
The gentrification of my area (Mount Pleasant) has concerned me for a while now (admittedly, the Kingsway and Fraser area and from 16th and Fraser to King Edward is getting nicer and highly touted to become " the new Main "). So, when I saw that a new sus
