My boyfriend and I stopped by this restaurant for a late night stopover after an event that finished at 10:30pm. Located near Kits Beach, it’s a little restaurant that offers fast service, affordable small dishes that is perfect for midnight snacking. The price seemed affordable and was pretty pleased with the service and the variety of Mexican tacos dishes.
3.6/5 I didn't expect the cod taco can be this good. I guess the fish taco is one of the best I have tried so far in Vancouver. Flavourful! The crispy prawn is average I would say. They also have fried chicken taco. To eat the chicken alone is better than eat with all other ingredients ( personal option). Overall, Cod Taco is the best.
So a new thing I’m really into has been trying out restaurants on my own and just getting some work done as I grab a bite to eat and a drink in my hand. All the better if it’s sunny outside and I get to sit on a patio. I ended up rolling down to Kits to try out Lucky Taco, which replaced the relatively new Supermarine (which replaced Abigail’s Party….). Apparently the owners are still the same but they decided to change the restaurant into more of an “affordable cantina” type of place, that’s close to the beach and people can just drop in and out to grab some food. Supermarine (which I actually quite liked!), was apparently too mid-range priced for people to come frequently – but to be honest, I find Lucky Taco still pretty pricey and wouldn’t consider going there often if I lived in the neighborhood. (I also get sort of weirded out/annoyed that their website and instagram account only posts in Spanish…which while I love the authenticity – it’s not very helpful because I have no idea what the posts say. How can I figure out what to eat when I can’t read the captions of your IG posts??)
