Lunch time special is a whole meal with salad and spring roll for $10:45. Delightful staff. Genuine Thai chef.
Definately ask for the Tom kha Kai ($5:95) - unbelievably good coconut soup.
Best Gluten free option on Davie street / West end
When my hubby and I visit Vancouver we like to try out different food restaurants. Here was one where the food was much to our liking. The service could have been a bit more friendly but when your a mom and pop business and working all day I guess you can get pretty tired. We will return though.
Love thida thai! It has authentic thai curries with a nice flavour. I enjoy their lunch specials which offers a good variety of flavours. Their spring rolls are really tasty as well.
One of the longstanding Thai restaurants on Davie is Thida Thai which opened in 2004. Over the years, I have dined at and had takeout from Thida Thai. I was first introduced to Thida Thai in 2009 by some friends who had dined there previously. A group of us decided to together one weekday night to try out their food for dinner.
One-liner: It’s across the street from Mango Thai, but the pad thai here is so much better
Highlight: Pad Thai
Recommended for: Answering confusion of which Thai place you should be visiting when standing at the corner of Davie and Bute
Would I go back? Yes.

Thida Thai offers an excellent selection for both carnivores and vegetarians. Their portions are large and generous (you'll have leftovers for later).
If you're a lover of spicy foods, as I am, this restaurant offers mild to hot choices: and the hot option will leave you in tears in the best way! Try the Massaman Curry; it's delicious.
This is one of my favourite go-to Thai restaurants in Vancouver. I've been a regular for many years now. The portions are decent, the owner Wendy and staff are friendly and attentive, the prices are reasonable, AND the food is fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. My faves are the papaya salad, beef salad, chicken satay, coconut rice, and the curries. I now live on the Sunshine Coast, but always put in an order to go whenever I'm day-tripping in Vancouver. Great little spot👍
Gotta love the green curry. With so many good options at area, you definitely get a great meal with an authentic atmosphere. Doesn't hurt just being up the street from home.
Atmosphere 1/1
This is a medium sized family owned type of restaurant on Davie street. One side of the restaurant has large windows that open to the street, creating a patio feeling for those sitting near the window. The decorations consist of Thai styled banners and it's all quite quaint. I went there for lunch and it was peaceful.
Service 1/1
Very friendly and on top of things. The waitresses took our order in a timely manner - didn't feel rushed nor impatient. They always made sure my water was full, and collected finished plates quickly
Food 0.5/1
It's probably not the best Thai food in Vancouver but definitely was better than I expected! I ended up polishing off all my green curry despite not feeling very hungry prior.
Price 1/1
Honestly I've only had their lunch special price, it was $9 for green curry, rice, and a spring roll. Pretty good. Not sure what price would be for other items
Personal opinion 0.5/1
Pretty good for lunch if you live or work in the area. Classic taste and cost for this level of restaurant. Won't be craving the food but hey if I'm in need of lunch I'll do this again
Delicious. Very good Pad Thai, super flavorful with ample amounts of chicken and peanuts! Green Curry was very good too. The prices are awesome as well! This spot is a contender for my go to thai food.
Excellent Food Authentic and Clean. Food in here is great!!..Menu items are authentic, service is good, restaurant is at a good location, and very clean. They are not very busy, hope that people read this and give them a visit. Tom Yum soup is very good , red curry is wonderful as well
Yum!!!!. This is one of my favourite places for Thai food. It's not too pricey, the service is pleasant, and the food is very fresh and tasty. My two favorites are the papaya salad, and the red chicken curry. They have a mussels dish served with Thai style hot sauce that I plan on trying. (btw Hot is Hot) Lots to choose, I haven't been disappointed yet, and takeout too.
It was a nice beautiful summer afternoon around 3 o’clock. We went to Thida Thai for a very late brunch. A small but nicely decorated and well kept restaurant on busy Davie street. It was half empty for a weekend, but I guess it wasn’t peak hours for eating. The windows separating the restaurant and the street was wide open letting ample of natural sunlight and breeze in. Great for summer, watching street passersby and relaxing in the afternoon. The server was very friendly, and served alone. However, the service was prompt and efficient. I ordered the Thai Yellow Curry with chicken (you have a choice of chicken, beef or pork) $7.95. It had sliced chicken in coconut milk, Thai yellow curry with potato and onion with rice, salad and one small spring roll. Thai curry!!! MMmmmmmm~ The food was really good. The dressing on the salad was just mayo which I wasn’t a fan of. But otherwise, everything else was delicious. The spring roll was hot and although the dish may seem a bit small, it
