My friends and I love coming to your kerrisdale location. It is definitely our go to meeting place. The staff is always so welcoming, and we love seeing them. The smell of the oven, baking the delicious pastries and bread, the delicious sandwiches made on mini baguettes, my mouth waters just thinking about it. It is truly our happy place!!!!!❤️
The macaron-making class was incredible and surpassed my expectations. Ricardo clearly explained and demonstrated the process, and then allowed the participants to try each step ourselves. He also patiently answered all of our questions, and made us feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend this class to anyone who is curious about how macarons are made and is looking for a fun activity in Vancouver.

Je suis francaise and this is my absolute favorite croissant place in Vancouver, a smidgeon ahead of Thomas Haas and Plaisir Sucre. Le Faubourg was started by a Parisian patissier and it's all amazing, but the Pistachio Croissants are to die for!!!
They have the best quality and flavor mix of macaroons ...that melt in your mouth.. Yum..try thier exallant coffee drinks.and great selection of teas......

It's one of my happy places in Vancouver - good coffee, freshly baked delish breads and pastries, excellent service
Best place in Vancouver! Go to all 3 locations and love them all!
Never disappoints.......perfect location for quick and delicious city centre lunch in Downtown Vancouver !
By far the best Croissants and Coffee we had in Vancouver. Feels like Paris. Great job!
I love love love this place. Every thing about it is fantastic.
Living in the lower mainland exposes one to many things.

Did i say bad drivers?
There is also the constant rain and dark cloud dance over us during the winters. It’s almost as if God is punishing people. All you weekend sinners, i’m looking at you.
This weekend was a chance to step away from the dull skies. An abundance of sunshine, almost enough to make the brave among us shed those coats and jackets.
Determined not to spurn this opportunity, we head out to Kerrisdale for a nice stroll and an even nicer cup of coffee, eventually ending up at Faubourg.
If you’ve been to Thierry on Alberni Street in downtown, think of Faubourg as it’s less fashionable sister.
Smaller and quiter, but carrying almost the same quality of desserts and coffee to satisfy your taste buds.
A Green tea passion fruit mousse, along with a Cappucino and a fresh brewed cup of coffee - pretty much a perfect late
afternoon refresher.
A little on the pricey side though, but the quality is good enough to not make you feel guilty.

Faubourg at Kerrisdale is located right on 41st Avenue and Yew Street.
Pastry and coffee are incredible. We tried a Pumpkin Spice Macaron Tart which made in sweet vanilla sable breton with spiced pumpkin bavarian cream topped with macaron cookie. Yummy!
It is definitely one of good pastries in Kerrisdale area.

• Coffee & croissant for breakfast, perfect combination! Best of all, they have a discounted deal for this
• My ham and egg croissant actually had a piece of hair strand on it, I told one of the girls in the counter and she gave me a new one.
• apparently their baked goods are not made in store, its delivered to them as stated by one of the workers
• otherwise, its a good place to hang out, chat and just spend part of your day
Cute french store. Their pastries never disappoint: they're always crispy and fresh. Their breads are also really good and they have a really wide variety of types and seasonal flavors (this is the chausson aux pommes)
Went on another afternoon tea adventure with my friends! We got the Pink Afternoon tea which costs $28.55 (tax included). Food wasn't amazing, howver my favourite was the lemon tart - it was sooo good!!
After the dim sum at Neptune Seafood Restaurant in Surrey, Polly and I went over to Burnaby as Polly had to run an errand there. On the way back to Richmond from Burnaby, Polly decided to go to Faubourg for tea break as she still had some time to kill before picking her daughters up from tuition after school.
Fantastic coffee, the best in the neighbourhood. And high quality French baking; the pain au chocolat is flaky and tender, just the right amount of chocolate. My son is passionate about the macaroons.
Faubourg is a very cute cafe for a nice coffee or to buy some dessert, the macarons taste good and the baguettes aren't bad either. Their "Pain chocolat" are excellent and have the perfect amount of chocolate, I like it to be not much but not too little. Even though the food tastes satisfying, the interior is a bit small. maybe a bit more seating would be favorable. But otherwise, Faubourg is a marvelous place to grab a snack!
I love nothing more than good pastries. And Faubourg satisfied every craving. We had the tiramisu and the Mille feuille - both were delicious!! I really liked how they presented our food as well.
Pastries are so adorably designed. I had their green tea lychee pastry. The flavour is really unique but it was overly sweet to me. Can't really taste the green tea flavour because it was too sweet. Their bakery items like croissant looks delish though. Would giv another try.
I never would have known that Faubourg offered afternoon tea until I was invited there by my Vancouver afternoon tea specialist.Yes, you can enjoy an afternoon tea at more places in this city than one would guess.I have tried many of them. Mostly, they are good but all vary in format, ambiance, offering and price.Faubourg afternoon tea is best described as pleasant and generous.
Why I love this place: they have really delicious and perfectly done macarons, although a bit smaller and expensive than other places.
Would I come back: yes
Would I recommend it to others: yes
Great croissants for great price. Their bakery items are definitely worth a try and worth the price. I have never tried their cakes but they appear delicious. The place is always quite full and somewhat loud. Not a great place to work.
Their macarons are adorably-sized and well done. Definitely one of the best in Vancouver. They also have a large variety of pastries to try. Ham & cheese croissant was buttery and flaky and satisfying. Enjoyable experience.
Duck with Fig Sauce Roasted Veg and Potatoes. Now that's a Duck Confit ! Tender and juicy with a lovely crunch of the skin. It has a melt in your mouth, fall off the bone tenderness. And the sweet figs add another layer of flavour.
I'll stick to their pastries..... Went there for brunch and had the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on brioche. It was alright. The eggs by themselves were bland and tasteless as if they were not seasoned at all. It only tasted ok with the salty smoked salmon.
The brioche was good. A bit stale but tasted very buttery and eggy like a good brioche should.
The smoked salmon was good. Standard, but good nonetheless.
Salad was alright. Just mixed greens, some red onion and a couple pieces of tomato.
Service was alright. Our water glasses were refilled without hesitation but the server was a bit careless and didn't provide proper knives (we were given the really tiny butter knives that barely worked for its intended purpose in the first place) unless we asked.
For $14 I found brunch really expensive and it's something I can easily replicate at home.
I like Faubourg for their delicious pastries and amazing macarons, but probably won't venture into their cafe any time soon.. Overall a bit disappointed by this visit.

Love, Love Love Never meet.... Love, Love Love
Never meet a pastry at Faubourg I didnt like. But I really love the lemon tart. The staff are professional and friendly.
Kinda pricey, but I think it's worth it. Had a lemon tart, which was great. I also had 3 macarons: pistachio, hazelnut praline, and lavender earl grey. The lavender and hazelnut were great, but the pistachio was a little stale. I'd like to come again just to try the pistachio once more (I hope it won't stale)
Great Coffee & Pastry. Simply one of the best in Greater Vancouver!
Good hot food items. We tried their pastries a year ago and didn't really enjoy our experience. We were invited by a couple of friends to try their brunch last weekend, and were pleasantly surprised by the prompt service and delicious food. Their coffee was very good too, we couldn't resist to keep refilling our cups.
Best Crossiant In Town. Well it does take a bit effort to drive from downtown to kerridale for this busy french cafe/bakery. It offers various type of bakery, from colorful bite size macaron to cake heaven along with fresh baked breads and pastry. This place made my day! We went in on a late raining morning the smell of delicious bake goods smoothed my whole body instantly. It's such a busy place with a typical european ambience. We got regular crossiant and pain au chocolat. I had my first bite once we sat outside. It's crispy, tasty, not too buttery. The chocolate is silky smooth perfectly blended within. My bf finished his in no time. We had to try so hard not to get another one or two. once a while it's luxurious to just eat what you want.
Best Croissants in Vancouver. I am always on the hunt for croissants that are wonderful, and here I have found them. Consistently fresh, with the perfect crunch and flavour, I go several times a week. The pain au chocolat and pistachio are also perfect.
Good experience. We walked in to Faubourg wanting to get one of their croissants which is supposed to be the best in Vancouver and it was delicious as always i got the plain while my friend got the pistachio and almond. when we were about to leave we saw a bistro in the back so we decided to try it out. i got the duck and it was really good the duck leg was so tender it was falling of the bone and the skin was nice and crispy, there is a fig sauce which is served on the side i was so good that i finished all of it . my friend ordered the chicken consomme with herb crepes and a warm chicken salad on the side which was really good too. the consomme was just the right flavor. the service was friendly as usual and i really enjoyed it. i will go back for sure
Typically French. This place is TOTALLY French, even the waiters are as nice as in Paris... That's the negative point, but the food is awesome!
SUPER!. Baguette fabulous. Pain Au Chocolat as good as any I have had in France (and I have had MANY!). Brought the weekend selection of mini pastries/desserts to a dinner party. They were a huge hit with everyone! Doesnt have the ambiance of a Parisian cafe but the food takes you there so take it with you somewhere special.
High Tea for Two. High tea with a french twist! a totally civilized and chic experience at faubourg. Much different than a traditional English High Tea. Loved the sweets in particular (the lemon tart is a winner)
AFTERNOON TEA. This is the second time I visit, because I saw they server afternoon tea so I thought I would give it a try. I went with a friend this time around 4pm, we ordered the pink afternoon tea sets and I always enjoy afternoon tea because I can try out many different types at once. For tea we got Marco Polo and Vert Provence, I loved the Marco Polo - it is a fruity black tea and tastes great with or without milk.
The pink tea set included the following:
- Cucumber, roast beef. coriander cream - like the sesames on the bun, but it is a little dry
- Smoked salmon and wasabi cream - wasabi and salmon just cannot go wrong
- Chicken, apple. country ranch dressing - apple added crunch and freshness to the richness
- Scones served with cream and jam - simple apricot jam
- Raspberry Soufflé - tastes more like blueberry to me
- Mini Lemon Tart - tried this before and still like it lots
- Mini Opéra - I had this at Ganache before, Ganache is better
- Chocolate mousse - this would is really nothing special
- Parfait - plain yogurt with fresh fruit
- Pastry chef's suggestion: Apicot Cinnamon Brownie? (brownie without the chocolate)
If you have a smaller appetite I would suggest going early (2pm) for the purple afternoon tea where you can choose 2 items from each category. The decor and environment is great for afternoon tea, though not all items were outstanding. If I go back next time it would be tea with friend or maybe trying out their bistro menu. :9
Just like a Woody Allen movie. By far the best bakery in town. my goodness !!! the breakfast is just like a Woody Allen movie ... perfection !
Beautiful!. That's all I can say: beautiful tastes for a an equally beautiful presentation. All for a price.
Nice place. Went for the mini-tea on a Sunday with a girlfriend. I liked that they bring out the tea selections so you get a chance to smell each one before making your choice - got the Moroccan and it was fantastic. There are not very many choices of teas though, so if you're a fan of variety this might not be the place for you. The tea sandwiches were good as were the desserts and scones - I wasn't blown away by anything, but certainly well prepared. There is a separate section you sit at if you reserve for tea, but even this area is quite noisy and makes conversation a little difficult.
Outstanding bakery and great breakfast. Had breakfast there this morning (last week too), they do a superb job. They take great pride in their work, bakery is second to none, the quality of their product is superb! Chocolate croissants - yum! Breakfast is a good deal, you get a pastry, baguette, 2 eggs, orange juice, fruite bowl and salad for $15, everything is delicious. This is a little gem, highly recommended!
OMG!! They have marriage freres teas! No need to go to Paris to stock up.....
Best french breads in town. Fauborg is the best source of French bread in town, all the baked goods are excellent but the breads, croissants and pain au chocolat are wonderful.
Great pastry shop. Love their pastries and how they bake multiple times per day.
Their croissants are top in Vancouver in my book. Right up there if not better than thomas haas.
Welcome addition to the neighborhood and the staff is super friendly!
A new kind of cafe for the neighbourhood. As a cafe, I find Faubourg to be refreshing amongst the cozy-centric, wifi-chain, or espresso bar types of Vancouver. It's well lit, interior is on the elegant side, emphasize on branding, and they operate as a bakery/high tea (and apparently bistro?) store. No saran-wrapped cookies o'er here.
Croissant - buttery, slightly chewy, and flaky. Definitely makes me wanna go back to buy a demi-baguette.
Lemon tart- maybe I haven't had a lot of tarts before but it was REALLY hard to cut through. I nearly flipped the darn thing off my plate trying to get a piece of it. There's a big dome of lemon filling and a fluffy vanilla foam at the bottom which was quite tasty.
British fog- pretty basic. Hard to mess up steamed milk, earl grey and vanilla syrup. Their coffee beans are by Musetti in Italy and tea is Mariage Frere, yet to try.
Overall friendly service and beautiful store.
Just... Perfect. Food, Decor, service. A+
Truly a Wonderful little slice of Paris!. Having heard about Faubourg from a friend, we drove all the way from downtown to check out what we were told was a "Wonderful slice of Paris". Our expectations were not just met but exceeded.
The staff was friendly and charming, exceptionally polite and accommodating.
My Cappuccino was rich and delicious. My friends London Fog and Americano were also done to perfection.
The owners were kind enough to take a few minutes to stop and chat with us and share with us a little of their background, she coming from Taiwan and he, naturally, from France. Both were exceptionally friendly and genuine, and even treated us to some of the most exquisite chocolate croissants we have had the pleasure of eating.
The place was bustling with customers, and after our experience there, we now understand why :)
I don't often write reviews like this but felt compelled after having such a nice visit to Faubourg. We encourage anyone else to stop in and see what all the buzz is about :)

A delightful and welcome addition to the assortment of Kerrisdale cafes, Faubourg serves coffee and pastries all day in the main space, with breakfast, lunch, dinner, brunch, and afternoon tea featured during certain times in the bistro section at the back.
Having taken over the Payless Shoes store space over the summer, Faubourg combines what we can't seem to get enough of in this neighborhood (coffee) with high-quality French bread and pastries (sorry, Cobbs Breads) in an elegant but bustling and energetic setting. The space exudes charm and potential: passersby stand gawking through the large glass windows; 90% of them go through the doors.
We were part of that majority the other day; since it was already quite late, Faubourg had sold all of their bread (good sign). We opted for a LEMON TART to go. The all-butter crust was superb and the lemon cream nicely balanced. Personally, I prefer a tarter tart filling, but this was still better than most.
I'm eager to see how this place moves forward. Right now, the window displays are rather impoverished; either they sell out of items as soon as they're displayed, or I've always walked by too late. I wish Faubourg the best success, because we need more quality spots in Kerrisdale. Not quality of the once-per-year variety, but precisely the kind which you can frequent on a regular basis: affordable, intimate, authentic, convenient; the kind which makes you feel lucky to live where you live, at this point in time, with the loved ones around you.
Afternoon tea with my friends. Their style is more towards... modern - like the way they plate. Certain items were better than others, but overall it was still good!
This was my afternoon tea set. We all got the pink afternoon tea set which was 28.55( with tax) which is a decent price for high tea. You get to pick 4 sweet items and 4 savory items and it also comes with a scone and souffle. At first glance it looks like it would not be enough to fill one up, however by the end my friends and I were extremely full and stuffed. I do also have to warn you that the pictures make the foods look bigger then they actually seem....
Famous for their girly and scrumptious macarons. Ordered some mixed variety of macarons and it was absolutely yummy. The hot chocolate drink that has a beautiful design on it was very rich. If only I could take home the tower of macarons :) Place was clean but there’s not enough space for everyone. Located at Kerrisdale.
Each macaron is a sensory experience. It's almost impossible to describe each macaron in terms of taste, as one must experience it for oneself. Texture wise, the macarons at Faubourg are not as soft, but that did not distract from the macaron itself. In terms of size the macarons at Faubourg are smaller than other places such as Thierry's. Left to Right: Cassis, Salted Caramel, Pistachio, Strawberry Black Pepper, Raspberry Rose, Pistachio, Lemon, Cassis Cassis 4/5 stars This tasted like a higher end grape jelly. This was definitely one of the sweeter macarons in the box. Salted Caramel 4.5/5 stars Definitely one of my favourites. The saltiness was well balanced with the caramel. Pistachio N/A I'm allergic to pistachios, so I didn't get to try this one :( Strawberry Black Pepper 4.5
A coffee shop and bistro Monday to Friday, sharing one space, each with its own set of operating hours. And serving high tea and brunch on the weekends. How confusing? Nope, just another day at "Faubroug" "Faubroug" is a French bakery located in the heart of Kerrisdale. It is the perfect location for students after school and locals after work to enjoy a mid day snack. A tower of colored macarons entices you to their shop's front window, for a better look. Below it is an array of petite fours, little desserts that look as artful as they do delicious. Their chocolate glaze glistens in the sun, and all of a sudden you find yourself walking through their door and standing in their threshold, wanting to drool over more. At 3pm on a Wednesday afternoon the cafe was half full. Friends sit sharing chocolate cakes. Children with their parents enjoy sandwiches and sip hot chocolate. The decor is simple and purposeful. Light weight chairs and tables face the large front windows, giving ease to p
Unlike our usual meetings, I received a surprise treat from a friend. A little treasure box of delicate macarons from the famous Faubourg Café in Kerrisdale. I was overjoyed with this simple act of kindness that made my day. Need to find the moment to repay that kindness – with my angelic holy presence. MOVING ON, the packaging itself blew me away. Although made simply out of paper, the overall look of the packaging made the box feel luxurious just to hold. The window gives a sneak preview of what’s to come. The colour palette of the box design give an authentic Parisian feel. Colour, font, shape and design – perfect. I recently audited a class on Interactive Arts and Technology about graphic design and the topic of the day was font. The importance of font will make or break a product. I might wish to pursue a minor in IAT but that is still in the midst of my decisions. Finally on to actually trying the macarons. The 9 aligned together like a work of art – individually representing it
Faubourg’s French Bread and desserts are very well known but what about its new brunch menu? The quality of Faubourg’s bread is superb. Very warm, fresh, fluffy and crunchy. Confit Duck Legs & fig sauce....
I have been wanting to give Faubourg a try for quite a while. Conveniently, it is located on my way to and from UBC so I just need to hop off the bus and hop back on, whereas many of the more upscale bakeries offering macarons and other goodies are in or near downtown Vancouver. I fell in love with macarons after trying them out, despite the fact the first few I ever ate had horrible texture. I love anything sugary and sweet, though, so I was willing to give them one more chance and Sugar Philly really sealed the deal. I was content with a few others and not so much with some. Now, it is Faubourg’s turn. They had thirteen flavours and I picked five, thinking thirteen is way too many for one day. First on the plate is the Cappuccino Macaron. The Espresso flavoured ganache has very strong and lovely coffee flavour. I love that nice coffee aroma in almost e
We would definitely come back to try more delicious desserts! Service was good, they answered all the questions we had on the desserts and everything they made was up to our expectations! They're also located near us so we'll definitely come back for more goodies!
The chocolate was partially melted and gooey with the caramel layer underneath at the bottom of the tart. The tart itself wasn’t really flaky or anything since it had to hold all the filling but the filling was really sweet if you eat the whole thing!
The customer service is excellent as well. I changed my mind half way between taking out or eating in the lemon tart, and the lady didn’t mind. I also asked a cup of hot water and they were so pleasant! Although I never been to Paris, I felt like I was truly in the midst of a French experience. For all those living in Vancouver, this place is a must-stop-by to taste some delicious treats!
The macarons burst with flavour – there was no need to guess what flavour you are eating – it was deliciously clear. They were also quite pretty to look at, too – uniform in shape and size, and good filling to cookie ratio. The texture was true to form – I like my macarons a little more chewy, but I believe these are what they’re traditionally meant to be like.Overall, these macarons would definitely rank up there among the best in Vancouver – Soirette and Thomas Haas would probably be the main competition (although my personal favourite is still probably the more dense/chewy ones found at Thierry).
The Final Verdict: If you love high tea, you must try Faubourg. I don’t get why people complain about the price, for $25, it’s well worth the price for the quality of food you get. Only complaint? How come there are no macarons? :P
Chocolate Caramel Tart - I normally don't like caramel but Faubourg has got me rethinking it! First it was the macaron and now it's this tart. Rich dark chocolate ganache and then a rich caramel centre that doesn't ooze but just kinda peeks out and goes "hello, I'm awesome". Top that with some unsweetened dark chocolate bits on top for that extra crunch... I've converted to the church of caramel!
The decor and environment is great for afternoon tea, though not all items were outstanding. If I go back next time it would be tea with friend or maybe trying out their bistro menu.
I would come back to Faubourg to try out other pastries. They also have a high tea menu which I am interested in!
The Operette ($4.50) dessert was made with layers of a spongey almond cake and dark chocolate ganache and was topped with a light orange mousse. I'm really glad I listened to her recommendation because this was delicious!
Faubourg French Patisserie specializes in authentic Parisian baked goods, pastries and desserts. Located on West 41st Avenue in the heart of Kerrisdale , Vancouver, Faubourg has interwoven the concept of tea house, café, bakery and bistro into one cute little package. Chocolaty exterior; bright and chic interior, this place is constantly busy. With the tea craze in Vancouver, high-tea experience is never dull! Faubourg poses a stiff competition to the beloved Fairmont Hotel Vancouver (click), Thierry Chocolaterie Patisserie Café ( click ) Urban Tea Merchant (click), Secret Garden and the like. http://www.faubourg.com Cuisine: French, Bakery, Pastry, Dessert Price/Entrée: $5-20
What impressed me most about Faubourg was the variety and intricacy of their desserts. Their apricot souffle was my favourite, the waiter even suggested eating that first.
If you’re in the area and are looking for a touch of indulgence to get you the afternoon, I would certainly recommend you enter this quaint little patisserie and grab a pastry or two.
French pastries, where the staff actually have thick French accents? Yes, please. Both times I went though, they were nearly sold out of everything. I think this calls for a trip to Faubourg in the morning.
The Lemon Tart was calling for us, "Pick me! Pick me!" and we couldn't refuse. It reminded me of a minature version of the brilliant sun that was shining outside that day.
My new Love was found at Faubourg. Trust me – a bite of this croissant will send you to Cloud 9 – a fluffy one.

They do not slice the bread until they serve the sandwich to you, which is good.
Poppyseed lemon scones served with clotted cream and a little jar of preserves. Delicious, tender and the sugar crust was crunchy-sweet.
...patrons were eating gorgeous baguette, munching on burnished flaky croissants, tucking into artful sandwiches and sipping foamy lattes. Get this: there were just as many men dining here as women. It is no Secret Garden.
Faubourg was pretty packed when we arrived. There was quite a lineup in the front of the store. We had to weave our way past everyone and got to the back of the place where the Afternoon tea is situated. We were delightfully surprised when the server brought over loose leaf tea samples. This made it easier to choose which tea
My sister and I checked in at Faubourg right away after she picked me up from YVR. Located in Kerrisdale, it is surprising that a cafe that has only been opened for 6 weeks was that busy already. The window display, also a refrigerator, showcases beautiful, daily made decadents Faubourg has to offer. We met up with 2 other friends, Alex and MaynaMerh , and thus, our quality afternoon tea-jam sesh commenced. We visited Adonia Tea House , also located in the same area, not too long ago and were excited to see what Faubourg has to offer. The atmosphere was casual with warm and welcoming services. I noticed that some of the staff were French. The decor of the coffee shop seating area was lovely. It was simple, yet elegant with high ceiling, a gigantic Victorian portrait, chandeliers, and an old fashion clock. There was a tray of tea selections and, since I'm not a huge tea fanatic, I just let P take a pick. I couldn't remember what she chose but I definitely liked what Miss Merh had chosen
Faubourg is a cafe offering Parisian baked goods and other delicious goodies in the Kerrisdale area. I've heard they had some amazing desserts and bread, so FoodQueen and I headed off to Kerrisdale to try it out. It wasn't a quick drive for either of us since we both live so far. Oh the things we do to try delicious food. The interior looks really nice and has a good amount of seating. They even have another area too. All of their items are baker fresh daily and I hear their croissants are really crispy and delicious. Since it was nearing the end of the day, there wasn't too much to choose from. Best to go early! If you don't have a sweet tooth, they also have a few savory items too. Cafe Latte (Grande $3.85) was good and compliments well with some of their pastries. Individual St. Honoré has a base of puff pastry with tiny pastry cream puffs covered in chocolate and whipped cream on top. I loved this dessert since I am a huge from of profiteroles-type of desserts. Overall, good place
A return visit to Faubourg, this time for lunch. Tucked away in the back of the bustling coffee and bakery area is a serene bistro, where you can imagine yourself having stepped off rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris.
In my previous entry about Faubourg, I talked about how much I love the interior design and ambiance of the place. I came back a year later with no exceptions, I am still in LOVE with Faubourg.
I've had quite an afternoon tea weekend, one home made with friends and one at Faubourg in Kerrisdale. Faubourg bakery is super busy on weekends. When we tried to make a reservation for high tea, we were instructed to leave a voicemail to make the reservation. We didn't get any phone calls back, but we went anyway. We ended up waiting for an hour and a half for a table for high tea. Normally, waiting for over an hour for a restaurant is pretty awful, not let alone for tea. We waited because this place seemed really promising. Aside for a little section for high tea, they also have a retail section for pastries, breads, and coffees. We ended up getting a chocolate croissant , strawberry tart and a chocolate twist while we waited. I listed them in the order of my favorites. The chocolate croissant was really amazing. It was fluffy, buttery, and it had a lot of soft dark chocolates. I could eat 3 of these at a time. The strawberry tar t had fresh stra
Faubourg now sells Parisian macarons! But how do they fare compared to the others in Vancouver? Take a look...
Faubourg puts care in the presentation of their desserts, which we appreciated.
Although taste is subject, but I have yet to find a girl who didn't love some sort of dessert. So when a friend told me about this new dessert shop in Kerrisdale, I was all too excited. In fact, I dragged R out on a week night to try it.
Faubourg Paris sets itself apart from cookie-cutter contemporaries with handcrafted, authentic Parisian delicacies created using artisanal techniques passed down through generations of expert pâtissiers. Faubourg’s decadent High Tea is a culinary adventure fit for the most deserving of mothers, filled with gourmet treats such as delectable macarons, delicate fruit soufflés and savoury canapés. This past weekend, Modern Mix Vancouver had the opportunity to experience High Tea at Faubourg’s Kerrisdale location. Opened in 2010 by Franck and Linda Point, the front of the Kerrisdale location features a glass case full of ready-to-order cakes, desserts and savoury sandwiches. Meanwhile, the back is reserved for a high tea experience, which offers miniature versions of the pastries up front, served on a two-tier platter. High tea always seems like such a girly experience and with Mother’s Day just around the corner, my mom was th
