Lovely location for lunch. It was windy outside so sat in. Food was good but could be better. Quiche was watery. Desserts were acceptable but not great, however appealing they looked. You have to pick up your own cutlery, and I had to wipe the table. Paying with a credit card, you are required to add a tip even if you don't want to. Most of all though, who wants to listen to loud music by Elvis Presley and Gerry Lee Lewis. Seriously. Will come back to the garden, but not here for anything more than coffee.
Great place to grab a bite and sit down for a cup of tea. Their high tea is very good. Definitely recommend trying the soups and macaroons!!
Rec for Afternoon Tea!. $35 for 2 is pretty filling stuff. although the atmosphere is a little more boisterous, the scenery is quite lovely.

Fine , Friendly Service. Lovely artisan coffee, before a stroll through the botanical gardens. Chocolate scones were more like pastries, a little dry. Nice buttery croissants, chocolatey filled pain at chocolate. Morning tea was promising so we returned for lunch. Beef sandwich au jus was filing, israeli style cous cous salad was delicious but the portion was a little small. Prompt service, good food, reasonable price.

Unlike the places listed above, Truffles offers a more casual high tea experience and for a considerably lower price at (now) $35/2 people. When I went, it was priced at $28/2 people, but I think the new price was is still definitely not to bad. Truffles in located in the heart of VanDusen gardens so when it’s nice and sunny outside, I’d recommend taking an outside spot so you can dine while taking advantage of the scenery this location offers. Served again on a three-tiered platter with a choice of tea, you can get:
