We came in for Mother's Day. The service was friendly, fast and informative. The food was amazing. Huge portions, beautifuly displayed for a good price. I liked the decore, it was relaxing. They have a great sake menu and desert was a perfect way to wrap up the meal.
We left with three to go containers lol

Kokoro Ramen is located right on the northwest corner of Victoria and 41st Ave. Similar to other ramen establishments, they offer their own unique broth and pairings. Their recipes are house-made, hand-crafted with no MSG added. To my surprise, for every new addition to their menu, they take up to three months to curate the perfect pairings and ingredients. Price are slightly above their competitors and one thing that is disappointing is that all their ramen bowls do not include egg .
The very veggie ramen was creamy and slightly sweet due to the pumpkin (a bit too sweet for me). I added an egg to my ramen and it was delicious! I would definitely come back and try more of the lighter ramen bowls.
Great and quick service. Food was really good especially after studying for midterms. Oh and their lollipops you get with your bill are yummy too .
I came here with my husband and some friends for a late dinner because they wanted ramen, but we didn't want to line up in downtown. I read an article about this place and suggested it, and we were pleasantly surprised. Our friend from Tokyo and I tried their signature Tonkotsu ramen—it's the best way to judge a ramen shop; to try their signature dish. My husband and other friend ordered the miso ramen. The broth was very rich and creamy without actually having cream in it—most likely from cooking the pork broth for so long. The noodles were lovely and bouncy and not at all over cooked, and the chāshū practically melted in my mouth as I gently bit into it. The only complaint I really had was that I wanted more menma than the measly four or five pieces we got each, but we came in just before closing, so maybe they ran out? We also ordered the chicken karaage, which was hands down, some of the best karaage I've had. Perfectly crisp and seasoned. The chāshū croquette thing that came free with a drink though, that was not a pleasant bite. I wouldn't order that again, there was something very unpleasant about it. But otherwise, we quite enjoyed our experience there.
Bottom line: My friend Cam has been telling me about Kokoro Ramen for awhile and I finally had a chance to try it with my cousin Ron. Their menu is simple yet informative. For example, it really helped me decide to know which broths had dairy and also which bowl colours indicated a healthier choice.

Nicely decorated place. No complaints. Miso ramen in white bowl was tasty. Chicken karaage was very good also. Just like mom used to make. It was a lot of food.Service was good. I will return.
I love this location. It gets so much natural light and the staff were so lovely which did not surprise me. Their Facebook page is so friendly and has shared the story of their restaurant as it was opening and now, as it adds new elements to its menu.
This was my first "real ramen" in a ramen restaurant so I got the Kokoro Tonkotsu Shoyu which is pork broth, cashu, bamboo shoots, seaweed, green onion and onion. My friend got the Creamy Deluxe Chicken Ramen which I was excited to see added to the menu! It comes with chicken broth, bamboo shoots, cashu, pumpkin, broccoli, seaweed, corn and green peas. They had a promotion for their flavoured beverages so I got the lychee fruit pop and a free cats.
My Kokoro Tonkotsu Shoyu was beautiful! Oh my goodness, look at that seaweed heart! If you have not had a soft poached egg in your soup, you have no lived. Divine. The broth was so earthy and heart-warming. It reminded me of miso but also had the extreme super power to feed your soul. I instantly felt better. Amazing!
My friend's Creamy Deluxe Chicken Ramen came I thought they also brought the free katsu. Little did I realize that I had stolen a piece of his fried chicken for his soup! How mortifying I did such a thing but we laughed about it. My friend also found his soup quite delightful.
Then the ACTUAL free katsu arrived. Traditionally made with chicken, this cutlet was made with pork and served with a sriracha aioli. Delicious! I wrote to Kokoro Ramen directly about their noodles. They do not currently make them in-house but they do get them from a Japanese ramen noodle company. I can attest to their eggy deliciousness! They want to make their own noodles in the future which is very exciting.
I hope Kokoro Ramen has a long and healthy foodie life at 5695 Victoria Drive. Now that I have been in there, tasted the fantastic food and been served by the lovely staff I can not wait to go back. The golden lights that hang in the window make this quite eating oasis in South Vancouver. See full review on my site Suzie the Foodie.
Just found out about this place last week. We decided to come try this place today and boy was it a great experience. Food was delicious, service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant seems to be in very good shape- it has a very oriental Japanese feel to it with a slight modern touch. Our bill came to around $40, which is reasonable considering that we also ordered dessert. Will definitely come back here again!
There is a new ramen place in town! Kokoro Ramen is a relatively new restaurant on Victoria Drive and 41st. With its awning all around the restaurant occupying the corner spot, it’s hard to miss it. As you can see, they stress authenticity and healthy choices! Healthy ramen?! Let’s see about that….
