Quaint local hangout with a great mountain view I'd you get a seat by the windows. One of the more impressive murals in the city adorns the side of this five year-old haunt converted by the owner's son from a tailor shop dating back to the early 50s. Nice selection of teas and friendly staff. A Sat. afternoon wasn't too overcrowded like some other places downtown.

Best coffee in Vancouver and there's no comparison. The person who runs this cafe is passionate about his craft and it shows. Bar none, this cafe serves the best coffee in Vancouver. The coffee is strong enough with the right amount of crema on top, just the way I like it. Reminds me of the coffee I've had in Europe and Australia. Been to many cafes in Vancouver always looking for one that deserves my long-term loyalty. Renzo has won my heart. So until a new cafe comes to town that's better than Renzo's, not looking to leave.
Probably the best cafe on the drive (except for the hot chocolate). Amazing view, a well placed big-screen TV that's great for watching important games ( it's turned off, otherwise), and yes, excellent coffee - my machiatto was just right, flavourful with no bitter aftertaste. There are numerous nice little touches that make this cafe really stand out, such as the modern minimalist design, real flowers at each table, fresh-fruit water (free), and the simple menu. There's a cool back story to the cafe, as well. The place used to be a tailor's shop, and the tailor's son turned it into the current cafe. The son works most of the time, and the father (an adorable little old man) also helps out occasionally. Do not, however, order the hot chocolate, which is very bland. And the chairs are actually quite uncomfortable because the steel backs jut forward.
Perfect chilled out coffee shop. Great coffee and very chilled atmosphere. Not at all cliquey and always welcoming; you'll be hard-pressed to find a nicer proprietor on the drive as well. Skip the Starbucks and try this place instead.
