The staff were extremely efficient behind the bar and the servers were on point. My food came out right on time and the place was very busy. Place is very friendly and I had a very good experience.
Great service great food come on a 4.95 menu you can't go wrong had the burger with poutine and well dynamite
Had a great time at the dime (on a Monday night)! Staff served us immediately, got the food and drinks promptly, ...it was great. Only downside is that it’s very hot in there in the summer time. Highly recommended.

Good food, good service. Awesome. Great price. I had my birthday party there. The staff did a great job overall. I had a wonderful time.
I had the southwest salad and I know I'm going to be chasing that salad dragon for a long time. Seriously awesome food and all for 5 bucks you can't go wrong!
Amazing ladies, great service even when crazy busy. Naomi is a star! 👌🏻
Awesome food, great staff, great prices. Nothing bad to say about this place, its all good.
I always like the dime.
Waitresses are always sweet and stunning and love the food. Music was AWESOME.
Yesterday I had teo thibgs at the dime and it was amazing. The waitresses were great as usual. Good food and service
Service was great..food was great. Can't beat the price.
Interesting spot on Commercial Drive. Being on a budget we stopped by to check out the $5.95 menu. Great range and decent sizes. We got the burger and the tacos. Would recommend a stop in for a cheap, yet tasty meal. Service was friendly but a little unorganised.
THE DIME is a local PUB on Robson St. Downtown Vancouver, which is the busiest street in downtown Vancouver. It is one of the restaurants in The Warehouse Group. It called the Factory a few years ago. It has been changed the name to The Dime in 2~3 years. It serves very cheap and delicious food. My boyfriend and I had a quick lunch when we were in Vancouver two weeks ago. We arrived the DIME around 11:00 am when it just opened. We quickly got a table and began ordering the food. Both of us ordered Burger dish. It was very cheap at only $ 5.95. We only waited for few minutes, our burgers came out off the kitchen. The Burger was very tasty. The meat platter was very fresh and well cooked. All the burgers came with a side dish. I had house green salad and my boyfriend ordered Yam fries. The house green salad was my favourite, very fresh and delicious. In summary, We had a great experience eating at The Dime. Definitely, we should come back to this place again.
It's a cheap food and bar and the items were great. I got a veggie burger as well as a flatbread. The menu on shown here (as of today) is outdated since the place does not offer nachos anymore. The service was average and food took a long time to come.
Food - 4/5
Service - 3.5/5
Ambiance - 3.5/5
Value for money - 4.5/5
The place is worth going at least once.
It's cheap food so you can't really expect too much here. It's decent for what your paying for though. They no longer have their cheaper house wine so beware of that. Your bill will probably be under $20 still though so can't complain.
This place is awesome. How can you argue with a $5 dollar meal? Service can be a little slow during rush hours but that's to be expected anywhere you go. The burger was great, I'll get two next time.
Food was definitely worth the whopping price of only $5!!! Not a huge location but I assume it must be busy during peak hours since we were free to seat ourselves at around 2. Fast service also. The fried eggplant sandwich was stellar. The bun and everything in between was bomb. There should be more $5 restaurants out there because I'm loving The Dime and Warehouse.
I come here almost every month. Service at the bar is great. I always get the burger and fries. Drinks are always on point. Menu changes here and there and the new stuff is always good. Highly advise coming here. Goodnight!
The deals are insane, all food for only $4.95! The service staff are quite attentive but the only downside is the noise level here is over the top. Don't plan to stay long when you are dining here, it's more of an in and out as it's so hard to hear the person sitting next to you let alone your own voice. Aside from the noise level, I would give the food at this place a 5/5. Everything including the desserts were on par. We ordered the seasonal specials including the fish tacos, honey wings, house made nachos, perogies and the deep fried waffle with ice cream drizzled over blueberries in a sauce. This dessert was amazing, the crispiness and warm waffle with the icecream is the ultimate combo!
Decent food. But great price. Bar isnt that comfortable to sit at though. But the bartenders are great and friendly. .99c Taco Tuesdays. Need i say more??
For the price you pay, I give this place two thumbs up.
I don't expect gourmet food or anything like that when I pay $4.95, but when my food did arrive I was fairly impressed. (it's a bang for your buck)
I ordered the pesto chicken and shared the perogies with a friend. She had the Dime burger with fries. All of our food came out in around 15min. Presentation wise, my plate was clean and simple, while my friends was more rustic.
The pesto I had was pretty standard. Nothing really out of the ordinary but what makes my review positive are the portions and the chicken. Portions were big (you'd think my meal cost $12) and the chicken was well seasoned, moist and came in a good quantity.
Perogies were everything good perogies should be. They were crispy on the outside, the shell wasn't too hard or too soft, the filling was creamy and had a good taste and texture. They were topped with (roasted?) bell peppers, bacon and a side cream cheese. The bacon was extra but I really recommend ordering the perogies with bacon for the extra kick of taste.
Really bomb place to eat and drink. LOVE this place! Looks a little intimidating at first because of the decor, but the service is awesome and friendly. Every single thing on the menu to eat costs 4.95... Yes FIVE dollars for any food item on the menu. Had some nachos and they were awesome, another family member had the braised beef lasagne which was equally as amazing! It's a pretty hard core looking little bar, but worth it if you're looking for cheap, good eats to go with your beer!
Old faithful. Price, service, drinks ... always good. yes bring your ID !! they will seriously not serve you if you don't bring it.. even if you look old ! I'm pretty sure they have been burned/fined in the past, they were even shut down for some time because of it so yes, they are not taking any chances. Annoying at times but we are used to it now. The drink menu is solid and for 5 bucks a plate you can't go wrong !!
Pesto and chicken so delicious!! I love it ;)
I don't mind the food $4.95and pretty good!. We have been there twice. Both times the food is fine. Its even good. DID NOT like the carrot soup. WAY TO THICK. They need to work on that and master it like the rest of the food.
Re the wine I ordered. I asked for a house Chardonnay. I was shocked at the bill at 8.50 per glass. Even high end restaurants offer you glasses at a lower cost. I had NO IDEA as the pricing was NOT on the menu , and I asked for a house, so you'd assume it was less. Just be aware of that.
For $5 the food was pretty good! My husband and I shared the nachos, hot wings and the spicy Mac and cheese. There were about 10 of us and we all got our food at different times, but other than that we all really liked it. I'd go again if I'm in the area as its not your typical commercial drive hipster vegan hotspot!
Phew. I was nervous about picking this place but my pals gave it the thumbs up. my salad was fine, like so many salads around, but at 1/3 of the price. i don't do wings, but they seemed to be a hit.
it's got a hard rock vibe which many wouldn't take to, but it was very friendly and for a rock & roll bar/restaurant it wasnt too dark, loud or dirty as one might expect.
looking at the other plates passing by our table i'm impressed they can do this for 5.
take a chance & check it out
Really Good Food,GREAT LITTLE SPOT. Really good food, burgers are large juicy, shrimp with garlic sauce, great salads, all for under $6.00, unreal!it,s true my friend and I were there today, and we both will be back and bring more and new people as well, great little spot1
What's the big problem? It's a $5 plate. The servers are friendly enough, drinks are average, music was ok. So it's a fine place to go. Nothing amazing or special, but certainly not a place to be put down. If you want constant attention (seek help) and eat at a more service based establishment, and shut the hell up!
Be back, Be back. My son, his friend and I went for a late lunch.
About 3 weeks ago, I saw my friend's picture after her visit and loved what I saw -- Quinoa Salad, Burger and Fries, mini donuts with coffee cream, when she mentioned the price -- that everything is $4.95 a plate -- I couldn't believe it, I had to try it.
The reviews I read were mixed. Considering the price, I didn't have huge expectations but wished the salad and burger would be as good as they looked -- AND THEY DID!
The burger was very good for the price, incomparable to McDonald's.
My son was saying 'You'd pay a lot more for not much better at the White Spot or Earl's'
We shared the Quinoa salad with nice sesame tasting dressing.
My son had a burger with mac and cheese patti on it and loved it.
Mini donuts we shared were also hot and delicious.
I didn't go there for super service or ambience but for affordable and tasty burger in my neighbourhood.
The server was happy and prompt in bringing water and drinks. Since the menu wasn't long we didn't need explanations, she didn't need to fuss over us either.
The fries were not full in the cup but for $4.95 a plate, you can't ask for more when the burger's so good.
My son works at the one of Vancouver's best restaurants, and he evaluated the salad to be very good for the price.
The noise didn't seem to bother the two young men as much as it did me but it is a pub after all, and I managed to read a book waiting for the food when the two young men did what young people do these days when they get together -- texting!
All the pleasant time and good burgers, and my share of the salad and dessert, came to $13.00 with tip!
We all sang, 'We'll be back, we'll be back'.
All good...but the music. Really liked the menu and the meals we had were awesome. The mix and match concept at such an affordable price is perfect. The server was crisp but efficient and although we waited almost 20 minutes we were diigging the new pub vibe. Only complaint was the rotating headbanger tracks at a headbanging volume. My friend refused a return invite just on that basis, so it was pretty bad. I hope they stick around for a while cause I will definately go back when the music thing is fixed.
Bar food.... Today, I decided to come to The Dime because I've passed by many time and wondered what $4.95 can offer. The Dime used to be La Rocca Ristorante Italiano and I figured that opening a Italian restaurant next to another Italian restaurant in the heart of Little Italy wasn't going well. My friend said there has been some dramatic changes to the interior with a new bar, new walls and new seating. What stayed the same is the ugly floor, but you're not going too eat off of them so why care?
The first thing I noticed when I arrived was how dark it was. A few dimmed light bulbs and the dark wood, I had trouble seeing where I was going. I was greeted by a single server with a friendly smile. She plopped two menus on the table and walked away. She came back pacing back and forth wondering if I was going to order or if I was just going to drink my water. My friend has arrived yet.
At first glance at the menu, everything was bar food. A lot of mini bites, salads and a few 'burgers'. I ordered the Mama T's mac n cheese and the veggie burger with fries. When my friend arrived, she ordered the maple bacon gnocchi and the beet and goat cheese salad. We shared.
Food arrived within 15 minutes of being ordered. I suspected everything is prep early and made quick. My Mama T's mac n cheese were okay. Bit size balls of mac n cheese fried and bedded on some sauce. I thought they were bland and not cheesy. My friend suggested they should have used cheddar instead of just Parmesan. My veggie burger didn't arrive and the pulled pork came instead. I called the server over and she acknowledge it wasn't what I ordered and sent it back. My friend's gnocchi was nicely made and creamy, but lacked bacon. Disappointing. Her beet and goat cheese salad wasn't the best. The beet was a bit under down and the leaves of the salad were wittered. My veggie burger came and it was massive. Nicely topped with avocado, onions, tomatoes and corn on top a veggie patty with melted cheddar. I also question whether the patty was cooked on the same grill as the beef burger. It did have a hint of beefy flavors.
Ultimately, I doubt I will return. The bar feeling isn't my style and for the quality of food and service received, it is not worth it.
The menu was bar fare with seasonal selections. And what makes “The Dime” such a destination is their pricing. Both the drink and food options are $4.99 a pop, with the possibility of add ons for a few more bucks. For example add shrimp and pepperoni to your Caesar for $1 or maple bacon on your potatoes for $1.50.
