Dragon Ball Tea House is an institution where if you like bubble tea, you probably have had it before. I recently did a bubble tea run for Lillian and her friends and she suggested I try the jackfruit slushy. . First off, there's going to be a line at around 9PM because a lot of people have bubble tea cravings. I waited about 15 minutes before I put in my order of 15 bubbles teas (sorry to the people behind me). The server wrote down my order and nailed it. They also accommodated my freezer bag which was great. ALSO CASH ONLY!
Great bubble tea, wish the place was bigger! I got fresh cranberry slush with milk and pearls (left) and my friend got fresh strawberry with milk and pearls (right) I went to this place as this was rated #1 in Vancouver and they truly deserve the title! It's not the most aesthetically pleasing place though. Nonetheless it's reallt good quality bbt! Get the fresh ver if you're getting fruit. My friend got fresh strawberry bbt despite not being under the fresh menu. Wayy more natural and healty and obviously doesn't taste artificial! Really really good bbt! I will for sure come back!
I’m not a huge bubble tea drinker, but I’ve found that the best ones come from the most divey, off the beaten path, places! That said, some of these divey ones really do suck though, so it can be a very hit and miss approach towards finding your favourite bubble tea joint. In any case, the subject of today’s visit is Dragon Ball Tea House. Located about 5-6 blocks from King Edward Station, if you weren’t thirsty for their bubble tea before, the walk will surely make you thirsty afterwards!
My family seems to really like the texture other pearls, but I found them not too great. The consistency of the bubble tea here is perfect and their flavours are great. Would recommend jackfruit slush with milk!!! The most heavenly drink in the world. My sister was weird enough to order fresh apple slush the first time we came here... which was just applesauce so kind of disgusting to drink. Also the pearls were still warm so our drink was got a little watery right on top of the pearls. The shop itself smells like pearls pretty much all the time, a sweet sickening smell, but they've got to keep up with their orders!!
I've heard many good things about dragon ball tea house. My girlfriend loves fresh fruit bubble tea with pearls. Since I didn't get a reply back from a foodie, I decided to check it out myself, and be the test Guinea pig :(
Parking sucks around this corner. However when I stepped inside there was a sign that said there's 3 slots for parking behind the building. I'll keep that in mind. First impressions? It is tiny up in this place LOL. No wonder I see line ups all the time. Upon arriving, I saw a asian media staff broadcasting and filming. One of their staff pets my husky pup on his butt LOL. Menu is straight forward. Prices are very reasonable, especially for fresh fruit. I asked the gentlemen at the counter what's their recommended fruit slush. He said mango is nice. Alright mango it is! $5.25 not too shabby. So how did it taste?
Oh shizzle... My eye brows went up and my puppy's nose goes crazy. It tastes reaaaaaaaaal good ya'll. The tapioca pearls, whoa... It is soft and so supple. It's so fresh... Man that's killer. Now I'm a believer of their brand and product. And to have their buisness in the shaunessy area is killer too. I'll be back for more, possibly tonight. I wanna try the oreo and green tea ice cream drinks.
This place is pretty good, although I'll warn that it's cash only. My favorite section of the menu is the fresh fruit section, and I love the pearls here; they taste super fresh and chewy. There's a lot to choose from, like avocado, Oreo shake, kumquat etc. For durian lovers, unfortunately they don't have durian lol, sorry.
Best bubble tea in Vancouver. The fact that they've been around for over a decade and still draw lineups serves as a testament to their greatness. Although there are waits, the end result is well worth it. What's even more surprising is that they aren't located in Richmond. On this occasion I got the red bean mixed with taro. You are able to mix two flavours without incurring an extra charge. The pearls have the perfect consistently and serve to raise the beverage to a whole new level.
Been here years before. Pretty decent bbt option. Lots of fresh fruit/ingredient options. As well as some snack items. Gets busy and not the fastest so have some patience. Had the fresh avocado slush, it was excellent creamy like ice cream in a cup.
Dragon Ball Tea House is the best place for bubble tea. Always tasty and very reasonable prices. The only negative is there is limited parking which can be a pain in the butt.
With the quirky name, it was hard for us NOT to try this place.
The place smelled delicious!! From the moment we walked in, we knew the pearls here would be DELISH.
The selections were a bit limited for me since I was looking for fresh fruit. Menu consisted of a lot of powdered or caffeinated drinks. We settled for wintermelon and guava drinks.
Over saturated with syrup imo, but if you get it half sweetened or water it down a bit, it is def addicting!
Beware the washrooms though... I felt like I was walking through a saw trap. Would be great laugh if they had dolls of jigsaw in the hallways.
If you like bubble tea and/or green tea, the green tea ice cream is a MUST try. I haven't had a lot of different flavors from this place but the ones I have had were really really good. I live in surrey and when I get a bubble tea craving I come here. This is the best bubble tea joint I've ever been to and I've had a lot of really good bubble tea. I take all my friends here and they all love it.
Their lychee bubble tea actually has bits of lychee in it. That alone had me driving from across town. Can get awful busy though, but I find the wait is worth it.
Their taro slush is definitely one of the best I've had! Very flavorful :). I had this delivered to me so I'm unsure of the wait time to get it but I've been told their bubbleteas are quite popular!
Post Ed Sheeran concert, we decided to get Bubble Tea. Surprisingly, they were still open around 11:30pm! I got the Matcha icecream slush with bubbles which was absolutely delicious and super sweet. Their pearls are perfection. This place is super busy and there is a line pretty much the entire time we were there. The service was as quick as they could churn out drinks and I really enjoyed it. Would definitely go back ^^. I wish they had better seats but on the other hand, the hole in the wall kind of added to it's character.
Love taro. Taro bubble tea is a must try
They have the best fresh fruit honeydew ive ever had. Id go here often but its too far and inconvienant to come here.
Perfect tapioca pearls. Their tapioca pearls are what makes the bubble tea so good here. I like the degree of chewiness and sweetness in them. They also have the option of choosing fresh fruit in your drinks, and seriously fresh fruit is so much better than the powder stuff. Remember to get their stamp card to collect drinks for a free drink! My only question is that, why don’t they expand? Expand the current location so that more people can actually sit or have a second location? Most of the time I don’t end up coming here with friends is because they are too crowded.
DUrp. Yummy but the lines are too long at times and the place is too crowded :3 and small and yummy again
Consistently good bubble tea here. good slushees too. i always get mine 1/2 sweet + coconut jelly sans pearls. bad seating area though....always stuffed to capacity...hate the lineups in the summer with no air con inside....wouldn't hurt for them to invest in central air con...cheap much? lol.
The fresh mango slush was creamy. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and texture. I had this weird feeling that they used powder instead of real fruit though. Maybe it was a combination of both because when I was sucking the air from the bottom I found some mushy stuff so I suppose it was the real deal. Still not sure I'll give it a try today again. Best slush I've had so far nonetheless.
Ordered 6 drinks to go and they made it super quick! Enjoyed my fresh mango slush with pearl. Yum!
Fresh lychee slush with bubbles and coconut jelly. Second only to the classic pearl milk tea, my favourite is the lychee slush with pearls, coconut jelly and mango stars ! the best bubbles and yummiest fresh slushes in metro!
My favourite bubble tea house in Vancouver. This is definitely the best. I have never been disappointed. They are able to create all of their drinks equally well. Prices are average, but for the quality you get, I consider it cheap. Their icecream bubbleteas are great.
The place is small and not comfortable to sit in, so take it out and go for a stroll. Totally worth the sacrifice.
Unsure yet. This place has been on my list to try for a very long time, so tonight, I finally had the opportunity. I was pretty excited to see that they have the green lotus bbtea with pearls since I had that in Taiwan and I quite like it. So I ordered that. Unfortunately, it was not what I expected at all. It was quite different from the one in Taiwan, so I had to confirm with them that it is the right one. Apparently that's how it is, so I'm kinda confused. So it's hard to judge whether this place is good or not since the drink was very unexpected. The only thing I can say is that the pearls are good. So I have to give this place another run before I can decide. Beware that this place opens at 2pm daily.
Fresh Taro Milk Tea. My friend introduced me to this place and the fresh taro milk tea was amazing. Note, that they open at 2pm and they get very, very busy.
An awesome place to fullfill a bubble tea craving. Consistantly great, definitely recommended!
Small little shop, the price is reasonable. The service is slow. Several times I find the pearls not soft enough. But with not much competition around the a 3 km radius, dragon ball tea house will have to do.
Consistent!. Bubble tea is always a good treat to have all year round!
Good BBT. Dragon Ball is a small place, so everytime I've been, it was just take out. There's just a few chairs and tables, but its noisy and hot, so I wouldn't recommend staying to enjoy the atmosphere. The bbt however, is good. Honestly, I can't really tell the difference from here or other bbt places, I just think its good.
Not Sure What The Fuss Is About. Realize this place is one of the most popular and well known bubble tea joint in Vancouver, but I didn't feel like it was anything special. Sure the freshness of the juices and variety is played up, but frankly the Lychee drink I had didn't blow me away. Interior is busy, but design does not make you want to stick around. Definitely a "to-go" kind of place.
I absolutely love their Mango Milk Tea Slush with Pearls, the flavour is very rich and strong. The pearls here are sweetened and chewy...my favourite! Be prepared to wait in line though...
Second time hitting up Dragon Ball Tea House and it’s just as good as I remember! My buddy and I dropped by after our sushi dinner for some late night BBT. The place was still relatively busy, especially for a Sunday evening. I guess everything is just busier in Vancouver. MUST move here soon, someone adopt me.
We each got our own BBT. Man oh man, there are way too many flavours to choose from. But that’s a good problem to have.
bubble tea, my old friend. i had heard a lot about dragon ball tea house as some of the best in vancouver so my mom and i popped by and it lives up to the hype. honey green milk tea (hot ~ $4.00): my mom loved this. she said it was the right amount of sweetness and creaminess that milk tea should have! 4.5/5 oreo cookie slush pearls (~$5.00): again this was delicious. the oreo cookie flavours and bits were blended into the drink amazingly but the best was the PEARLS. chewy, not hard or mushy and just a tiny bit warm. just thinking about them....some of the best pearls around. 5/5 overall: delicious bubble tea, tiny shop, AMAZING PEARLS
Blog contains mostly photos.
I ordered a fresh lychee slush with pearls. I loved that they used fresh lychee in this drink and not just a flavoured syrup. The drink had a fragrant and mildly sweet taste. The consistency of the drink was well executed. It wasn’t too icy, and it had a spot on slushy texture. This drink was very refreshing and thirst quenching. Normally pearls are pretty standard, but I was blown away by these ones. They were the best pearls I’ve ever tasted. They had a perfect soft and chewy texture with not a single hard one in the batch. I wonder what their secret is to make them so good? After visiting Dragon Ball Tea House I can see why they have the great reputation they do. Their fresh fruit slushes and pearls are ama
...the watermelon tasting very fresh, but the pearls were the real winner. The pearls are usually the defining factor for me when drinking bubble tea.
My absolute favourite bubble tea in the Vancouver area is definitely Dragon Ball Teahouse.
Fresh Watermelon slush with bubbles. Rating: 6/6
My brother, Andy, is a self-proclaimed bubble tea expert and he used to drink two or three bubble teas a day, driving hours just to try out new places. Bubble tea flows in his veins... He believes Dragon Ball Teahouse has the best bubble tea in town and m
i ordered the iced milk tea with grass jelly and was not disappointed. the milk tea tastes different than all the other bbt stores i've had in the city. the flavor of the tea is stronger than most, like a combination of taiwanese milk tea and the HK style milk tea. the grass jelly was just average. i have yet to find a bbt store here that sells soft grass jelly that is as silky and smooth like tofu! nevertheless, dragon ball tea is one of the better milk tea places in vancouver. dragon ball tea house (604)738-3198 shaughnessy 1007 w. king edward ave vancouver, BC
I had my staple of mango slush with milk (sans pearls). It was smooth, fruity, and good. Janice had strawberry slush with milk and pearls. I thought the strawberry was better, fruitier, and tastier in general. It had a lot of flavour and great consistency.
Dragon Ball Tea House is a popular bubble tea place in Vancouver. They serve milky teas, slushes, real fruit, powder, and many other types of customizable bubble teas. If you are an indecisive person, you will be totally confused when they ask you if you want your drink as a milk or slush, or with pearls. They throw so many options at you, so I totally got lost. The interior is not very big, so during busy times its hard to fit a large group of people. Most of the drinks range from $3 - $3.50. If you add p
i first came to dragon ball when my dad’s friend brought us there back in 2006. i had the tofu bubble tea and it tasted awesome but i was so bloated having korean cuisine by then, i felt like throwing up. the second time i went there with nad. it was at n
Dragon Ball Tea House offers the best bubble tea in the city. Why? There are a number of reasons: Firstly, their tapioca pearls are the freshest "bubbles" you'll experience. Their pearls are always slightly lukewarm, making them a little softer than the hard plasticy balls you get at other inferior bubble tea joints. And having been pre-soaked in honey, they retain a lovely sweetness - a bonus since some pearls at other places have completely zero taste, so you feel like you're chewing on balls of nothingness. Dragon Ball's probably most famous for their real fruit beverages, and their slush drinks are also uber popular. I adore their fresh mango slush, and fresh watermelon juice, as they're both consistently fresh and delicious. Also, their real ice cream milkshakes are thick, decadent delights. Dragon Ball uses real milk , instead of Carnation powder or Coffee-Mate. But for those who enjoy the regular powdered flavours, they offer those as well. You can customize your drink to whatev
I was in the mood for some bubble tea one evening after dinner so Jenkins and I made a quick stop at Dragonball Tea House. As mentioned before, it is one of my favourite bubble tea places in Vancouver.
First up is going to be my long-time favorite, Dragon Ball, but I’m open to suggestions for the rest of the week. What’s your favorite? I’ve already reviewed Sammi’s, so I’ll skip it this time. Dragon Ball is a crowded little place at Oak and King Ed. It
After our visit to Beefy Beef Noodle House, we decided to rush over to the bubble tea house named Dragon Ball (Z!!!!) Here’s a nice pic of the place and our shadows during a late fall day in Vancouver. What surprised me most was that the parking was quite
Rating / 4 out of 5 stars There's nothing like a good, ice-cold bubble tea to help quench that summer thirst. So, Tre and I headed on to Dragon Ball Tea House in South Vancouver. Dragon Ball Tea House is an extremely popular, tiny hole in a wall that attr
