TAKO has been on my to-try list for a long time now! I suggested it to Latte for dinner, who has been a couple of times already and enjoyed it!. TAKO is quite unique in that they serve Korean Mexican fusion food- burritos and tacos with kimchi fried rice, beef bulgolgi, etc. It is located across from Rogers Arena and is pretty small.

TAKO is a Korean-Mexican fusion restaurant serving up delicious Korean food with Mexican influences. They are located right next to Rogers Arena, so it makes it a great stop for some quick and delicious eats. They have a variety of dishes that have a lot of Mexican flair like burritos, tacos, and quesadillas and more traditional dishes like fried dumplings, Korean fried chicken and bibimbap.

YUM! We didn’t sit in for dinner but ordered a bunch of stuff off the menu. Delicious, fresh and lots of flavours. The chicken was tasty and whatever sauce was in the burrito was so good. Will definitely try this place again to check out the tacos.

I’ve never heard of Korean-Mexican fusion food before that fateful day where I discovered Tako. Tucked away under Stadium-Chinatown Station, you would almost pass it by without so much as a glance ….and that would be quite a loss. I recalled that many colleagues had come to get takeout from here during lunch and to drop by during their “happy hour” for marked down tacos and burritos. Nothing but rave reviews had come from that place, and everyone can’t be wrong right?

TAKO creates a Korean Mexican fusion restaurant with their TA(cos) with KO(rean) fillings such as bulgogi and fried chicken.  I kinda enjoyed their play on words with the restaurant name too - it could also be Tako just because of the way it is pronounced (aka Taco).  I stopped by this place a couple times on a recent trip out to Vancouver and found the concept unique, but overall fairly average.  I got their Seoul and Jeju tacos.  The tacos are somewhat small, which is justifiable considering their price.  The tacos were flavourful and definitely did not skimp on ingredients.  I also really enjoyed their tiny boxes they use to store the tacos!

The service was friendly and definitely gave it much more of a personal locally owned restaurant than a big chain company.  The decor of the building was bright and friendly, which can provide a stark contrast on rainy Vancouver days.  I was honestly put off by seeing a rat near their front entrance though.  He scurried away into a little hole near their front door.  Ugh.  But the place seemed pretty clean from the outside, so I would probably treat it as an isolated incident.

All in all, I really enjoyed TAKO but at the same time it wasn't amazing.  The rat didn't help either.  Recommended.

I like to endorse the places that I find that offer good deals, good food and great service. Well I have found my new favorite Korean BBQ place. If you are ever downtown near Stadium station check out TAKO, Korean / Mexican Fusion place. This was the second time I visited here. I had the Bulgogi Beef Burrito and I would say that it was the best Burrito I have ever had, bulgogi beef, veggies and kimchi rice in a grilled wrap. I swear, I was making animal noises while eating this. With a beer, your meal will be about $16. I'm going to hit this place up every time I go to a Canucks or Lions game. Soooo Goood!

Great Korean-Mexican fusion food, just a bit overpriced for my taste. I've been here a few times and I can say that the burritos are the most worth it. Try the short rib burrito - you won't go wrong with it. Tender and well marinated grilled short rib is hard to find done right, but you'll definitely find it here, for an okay price.

came here during a weekday lunch and i thought it's quite a mix with taco/bread wrapping and inside is galbi meat i thought it will be decent, true enough the food is decent, although a little bit more oily as well, but that's the good part of the food as well, over all i was able to enjoy the food, but definitely not something will crave for around the area.

Cool fusion Korean and Mexican fusion place that I'd recommend to anyone who loves either of the two. I ordered the bulgogi, pork belly and the spicy chicken tacos, with the ladder of the three being my favourite. The spicy chicken had a great kick to it, but the other two left something to be desired. Prices here aren't bad and are comparable to other great taco places like La Taqueria. Can't wait to comeback and try their other menu items.

TAKO is a Korean taco shop at the Stadium/Chinatown Skytrain station across from Rogers Arena on Expo Boulevard. There you will find Mexican food with a Korean twist including Korean-flavoured tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and poutines. For the uninitiated, a Korean taco is a flour tortilla filled with Korean BBQ.

I love this place more than anything. Every bite was flavourful. The sweetness in each dish complimented the meat really well. I don't think I've ever been so full from just a poutine!

I’ve previously tried Korean-Mexican fusion food before at the Disco Cheetah food truck and it was pretty good so I was interested in trying a similar concept at TAKO or Taqueria Koreano. They are just outside the Stadium Chinatown skytrain station which is extremely convenient! I work close to Waterfront station so I just hop on the train for a few stops to get here for a quick lunch.

Tako is a korean-mexican fusion restaurant located in the Chinatown area offering tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and bowls with a korean twist. Its conveniently located outside the Stadium-Chinatown stadium which makes it easy for us to skytrain down from work at lunch to grab a bite and get back to the office. Customers walk in, order and pay at the counter. Grab a seat to eat in, they'll deliver your order to you. They also have happy hour specials on the weekday from 2-5 PM for any of their 3-tacos, bibimbap, burrito, and quesadilla for $8.

This place has delicious food that's really convenient. It is just outside the stadium-Chinatown skytrain station. For a small space, it actually has a decent amount of seating in there. The way it works, you order and pay for your food first. I tried the tako taco (grilled beef belly) and the Gangnam taco (BBQ short rib). Presentation of the tacos were also pretty cute. Both of them had great flavour and the meat was tender. I also tried their rice cake skewers. When I first got them, they were really red and looked super spicy. But it actually wasn't as bad as I expected. Still spicy but not overdoing it. The rice cakes had interesting textures of the outside being saucy and a little bit crunchy and then the chewy inside. I really liked the food and concept here. It's convenient and prices are pretty good. I'd come back to try out more.

Not too long ago, Meta Knight brought me to a place right across from Roger’s Arena to eat before the Canucks game. It’s called TAKO and I believe it’s relatively new to the food scene. TAKO aka Taqueria Koreano is a little taco/burrito shop that is unlike any taco/burrito shop you’ve seen before. It combines the distinctive flavours and cuisine of Korean food, with the interesting concept of Mexican tacos and burritos.

Update: portion sizes for their tacos have gotten significantly smaller, like half the size they were 2 months ago. Still delicious, especially the sauce they put on the fried chicken but I'm not happy about spending over $3 for a 3 bite taco....

Am I ever glad to have found this place after the game on Saturday, just what I needed after a few afternoon beers. The "takos" are loaded with toppings and big on flavour, my favourite being the spicy pork. Perfect balance of sweetness, acidity, and heat. The fried chicken was a close second I could have easily devoured a few of them alone. Also tried the spicy pork poutine, which was alright. Next time I would probably skip it and try the burritos or get an extra taco or 2. They have pretty decent prices for beer aswell ($5.75) for shocktop. All in all the food came out fast it was hot, delicious and the girl taking orders was quite friendly. Can't wait to come back for more!

Tacqueria Koreano, aka TAKO is a new fusion Korean and Mexican Taco shop right by Stadium Skytrain Station. One of my favourite fusion cuisines is Korean and Mexican, the flavours meld pretty good together. There have been other food trucks out in Vancouver that have done something similar. I was invited along with a few foodies to give a few items on their menu a try.
