Great sushi, friendly service and yes, they have brown rice (80% mix)!
Great variety and fresh!
Only draw back is the street parking on Main or the side streets.
Everything on their menu is good; from the Sashimi to the Yabi Naki Udon.
Rice proportions on the hosomaki to the temaki are good - no loading up on the rice filler like many other places.
I really like dream's fish – it is always good quality and fresh. I would recommend getting the snowwhite roll from their house specialties. Their deep fried gyoza and tempura are also really good. Some places you go you always get these soggy, but they do a really awesome job of crisp flavor. My only negative is that because the restaurant is small you often have to wait for a table. That being said, when they say 15 minutes until pickup or delivery, they are always on time.
Not too Bad. Ive been to this place a number of times, and although the service isnt always the most friendly or efficient, I've always been more or less pleased with the quality of the food, especially considering the price. Their lunch and dinner specials are a bargain, and I'm also fond of the sauce they put on their spicy tuna and salmon rolls. Just went for lunch today and I'm sure I'll be back in the future
Ordered some take out here last week. Prices were reasonable. We ordered a few of the special rolls, they were okay, nothign spectacular but the normal rolls tasted good and fresh! Sashimi was good too. The only thing i didnt like was the yakisoba, it tasted dry and there wasnt enough "stuff".
If you pay cash its 5% discount.
Overall, would go back.

Definitely outside the traditional style but still quite tasty
Unique rolls with a brown rice option!. Advice: try this place -- it's not the same old same old. The menu has things you won't find anywhere else -- especially with the veggie rolls. There's so many options -- and not with tempura either!
The service is very polite and informed, and the rolls are fresh and tasty. One clever thing they do is to put the wasabi and ginger in separate containers for take-out. Very "clean."
Also, you can have brown rice with flax seeds instead of white rice, which I enjoyed on my avocado asparagus roll. Delicious :)
I'll go back, but probably just for take-out.

Trouble in the hen house?. After a nice grueling walk uphill to Queen Elizabeth Park, I decided that I need a reward. Dream Sushi was on my 'to-eat list' and it was a good opportunity to try them today.
Very friendly service and colourful place. A lot of 'excuse me' and 'thank yous' from the waitress. The restaurant is decorated in notes that were left from previous customers. Cool.
My friend had the lunch special (with the option of brown rice) while I went for the Chef's Special. I ordered the Main Street Roll and Ocean Dragon Roll. His order came first and I waited and waited. If I were to count the minutes on the clock, I think I waited for 15 minutes after my friend go his meal. The brown rice sushi wasn't as sticky as regular white sushi rice, but it was more warm and wet than usual.
Service is friendly, but lack speed when sushi is being made. While I was waiting, I did get to see a show. It was a Chinese/Mandarin/some Japanese 'war of happy words' between the sushi chef and the waitress. Being Chinese, I understand the Chinese and Mandarin part, but wish I knew Japanese.
LOVE. Crunch roll and Yammy roll are to die for- perfect combination of flavour and textures. Excellent quality and freshness of seafood. Can't speak for the service as I always order delivery; lil skimpy on the soy sauce packets though, even when I ask for extra.
Dreamy veg combos. The super efficient server took my take-out order even though I arrived 15 mins after the official closing, hurrah. (Why do Vancouver restaurants close so early anyway?) The veggie combo 1 was delicious and tasted fresh, and a large enough portion to keep over for the next day. Tasty miso too. I'd definitely go back, especially considering my bill was under $10, including tax & tip!

Very good. Have heard that it was 'amazing' and I would likely downgrade that to 'really good' but a solid spot for sure.
Good selection of specialty rolls. Kids loved the deep fried banana with ice cream for dessert. Consistent service and food.
We just got home from a great evening at Dream Sushi. Relaxing in a simple but comfortable room, we ordered what we thought was a reasonable amount of food. The portions, however, were quite generous, and we had our fill. The service was way better than average, and the food was delicious. By the time we departed, we were already planning our return visit.
DREAM SUSHI. I appreciate the natural ginger that has not been dyed with artificial colouring. I also appreciate the generous portions of avocado in the avocado roll and the fact that they give you eight large pieces, whereas most restaurants only give six pieces. I enjoyed the spinach roll, too. I especially appreciate the new healthy, nutritious, brown rice option! Everything was delicious, the prices are reasonable, the staff warm, attentive, courteous, friendly and the service excellent. Thank you, Dream Sushi. I'll be back soon!
This was the paparazzi roll ($8.95), which was comprised of spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado, fried yam crisps (? I think, not too sure but it was crispy) with seared tuna tataki, spicy mayo, onions, and sesame on top.
I am hard pressed to think of a time that I was more relieved to order takeout than during my visit to Dream Sushi. It’s not that the restaurant was unsightly, or that the staff was uninviting. Neither did it have anything to do with an ugly bathroom, or a televised event taking place during my visit. It had to do with copious amounts of children. As I waited for the chefs to prepare the order for Melanie and myself I did a brief headcount, which was difficult given the amount of screaming going on. At 12 toddlers to 19 adults, the ratio of caretakers to children was teetering on the edge of what I consider to be a social hazard. With tiny bodies racing about and incessant hollering in my ears I waited inside the restaurant while Melanie stayed outside, keeping company with a dog she found. The waiting area was too small to be of practical use, so I stood awkwardly in the middle of the room, which was densely packed with tables and chair

Dream sushi has been on our list of places to try for a while now, but we've never had the opportunity tountil today. SW wanted to eat somewhere closeby before heading to class, and Dream sushi was an obvious choice and a breath of fresh air from our usual Vancouver eats. Along with our friend AB, we headed down to this little sushi joint on Main and E 28th for a late lunch on a sunny Thursday afternoon. tastyvancity ordered: Lunch Box Special - $6.50 Miso Soup The complementary miso soup had just the right amount of flavour, neither too salty, nor too watery. It was fairly uniform in texture, kind of like chicken broth almost. When i say uniform in texture, I mean there isn't a gritty miso texture like you would find at some restaurants, and the soup didn't separate (miso did not float up top). I downed this very quickly. 5/5 Chicken Teriyaki A very scarce portion, which is to be expected of the $6.50 price tag. It was roughly four slices of chicken on a bed of bean sprouts, broccoli
