Took my wife here for breakfast this morning and it was a really good experience. There is only metered street parking but it’s a small place and this likely serves to keep the crowds to a controlled level. We were seated with no wait and a server offered us a beverage right away while we looked over the menu.
I ordered the house special omelette and my wife ordered the Chorizo breakfast. The omelette was loaded with onions, bell peppers, and breakfast sausage. The cheddar was melted to stringy goodness and filled it edge to edge. The eggs were fluffy and a perfect even shade of yellow. Both breakfasts came with whole wheat toast and hash browned potatoes, both were browned perfectly without being overdone. My wife gave me part of her sausage and it was excellent quality, perfectly cooked and was a delight.
The space is cozy and well laid out, even as busy as they were it didn’t feel overly crowded but it was a bit loud from the overlapping discussions happening at every table. The service was prompt and the server always had a smile and was polite.
I will absolutely return in the future.
I can't say enough good things about this place. It has been a breakfast staple in my family and we love going there. The good is always consistent with taste and it's soo good. I would highly recommend their crepes or their pancakes; my favorite thing to order is the banana pancakes because no matter how hard I try I can never make them as good as this place. But overall, I think my favorite part is how interactive and kind the workers are as they truly make you feel a home.
I first experience with Corned Beef Hash was back in Maui. After realizing how tantalizing a dish it was, I made it my goal to try and seek local takes on it once I got home. I’ve heard through the grapevine that Joe’s Grill apparently does a wonderful take on it, so off I went! Joe’s Grill is located on that really trendy stretch of Main St., and their kind of fare definitely matches the general feel of the area.
Came here on a long weekend morning and there was a line up! Good things a handful of tables left so we got sat shortly after. We noticed the whole staff was females but not sure if it was just coincidence or if they only hire females? Anyhow, food came out super fast and service (couple of servers had French accents) was great! I ordered the Joe's special omelette which came out in a cute square and the bf ordered the corn beef hash. He rated it overall 6.5/7 (says small menu and not enough variety) I'm giving it a 7. Nothing wowed me but nothing to complain about as well!
This place is great. Perfect brunch joint. I just wish they were open late so that I could have breakfast for dinner. Great portion sizes, reasonable prices and good food. The service at this location is always great.
We are still a bit behind with our blog updates over the last few months. Hope we can catch up before the year ends. Joe’s Grill has a few locations in Vancouver. This one is conveniently located along Main Street and 14th Ave. Joe’s Grill is a casual diner type of restaurant that is cozy with friendly service serving the typical greasy spoon breakfast and lunch type foods.
Girlfriend wanted Eggs Benedict for Valentines day breakfast. Hows Joe's Grill sound? As long as there is Eggs Benedict she replied. Off we went, upon arriving, I went to the counter to put my name down, I was told it was first come first serve. Does that mean I vulture my way to seats when one becomes available? There was no host no nothing. Being fair, did the couple that came after us, were they here before we were? I wasn't sure.
My basic breakfast was pretty good. 2 eggs, 4 sausages, hash and some crappy rye bread that tasted very bad. For $7.75 had some good value. Girlfriends Eggs Benedict wasn't too impressing. The hollandaise Sauce on the benny was very runny and almost sour tasting. The flavor was also lacking. Tasted as if they were running out of sauce and poured in water to try and extend the sauce to finish up the day.
When she asked for it on a bagel, the dude said to her, there may or may not be a $1 charge. Immediately after saying sure, He writes down with bagel $1.00. That's messed up! " Might or might not be a $1.00 charge" when you were going to charge us. Why don't you just say, there is going to be a $1.00 charge.
This place is one of the top three in Mount Pleasant for breakfast. Food is always good & the service is always good and as expected with no frills.
Good options for both the classy bruncher as well as those looking for cheap eats. Coffee is not included in the meals but are bottomless so be warned!
Got me some pulled pork hash and enjoyed it! Goes great with a caesar! Service was quite good even though it was busy. Nothing got messed up and the wait was short. I like this place. I will come back.
I love coming here for brunch during the weekends. Even though there is often a line, I find that it’s generally worth the wait. They have outdoor seating which is just what you need sometimes when you’re hungover and hungry. I find that the staff is always friendly and engaging and super accommodating. They have great portions, and a lot of variety to choose from! Not to mention, their mimosas! Perfect way to start a Sunday Funday!
