Surprisingly good for an airport restaurant. Despite the lineup at the entrance we were seated within a few minutes. The service is fast and polite. The food is pricy but that's what you would expect in a captive market.
The Veggie Portobello was fresh and had great flavours. The coleslaw was also pretty good. Mrs Canuck had the chicken stir-fry and also said it was very very good.
In and out in under 30 minutes at lunch time is excellent.
Our flight was delayed and we have almost 2 hours to sit around at YVR, and Canucks Bar & Grill seemed to be the only full bar near the USA terminal. Looking at the big TV screens on the walls with different sport programs on, I could imagine it must be nice for the travelling Canucks hockey fans if a game is on. The food was a little pricier as expected considering it is at the airport, but the quality was surprisingly decent. I was feeling a little under the season so I didn’t drink any alcohol. But they do provide a premium selection of wines, beers, and spirits.
I don't concur with the comments about service. I was in and out within 30 minutes. Our server was extremely attentive. Food was great - try the jalapeño ketchup!
Good if you have time to kill. We had a six hour lay over in VYR and so we had lots of time to kill. We pretty much shopped ourselves out and headed to our gate in the international gateway area. Canucks is a cool Bar and Grill with lots of memorabilia and a nice view of all the other people hanging around the gates waiting for their planes.
We had a beer and chicken wings. The waiter was really interested in serving us until he heard that we were splitting our meal - then we never really saw him again. We didn't really care because we had time. I would be a little ticked if I was in a hurry.
So I recommend it if you have the time.
Canucks yvr brand new. I went to Canucks Bar and Grill on Monday. Yes, the food took abit longer than I thought and others thought HOWEVER, they made up for it!!!!! The service was awesome and they did just open. Evidently they have the xtra challenge of ppl in a huge hurry. Once they have a week or two to adjust, this is the only place to go and chill and have non fast food and a nice beverage. THEIR BURGERS ARE HUGE AND ROCK!!!!!! This place will be great!!
